Introduction (problem statement and relevance). The article presents the work on the automation of an internal combustion engine (ICE) calibration tests results on a motor stand. The relevance of the article is due to the high labor intensity of such tests, the complexity of documentation and decisionmaking based on the results of the work.Purpose of the study. This work is part of a comprehensive methodology, the purpose of which is to reduce the duration of tests and improve the calibration results quality of the vehicle’s power plant. The entire methodology description as a whole is also given in the publication.Methodology and research methods. The achievement of this goal is ensured with the help of special systems – INCA-FLOW (test automation) and ASCMO (processing results and optimization), produced by Bosch/ETAS. The approbation of the technique was carried out on a motor stand in the MADI training box in relation to the problem of forming an ignition timing map.Scientific novelty and results. As a result of the methodology application, a 4.8 times reduction in the motor tests duration takes place if 2 people work in manual mode at the test bench without interruption. At the same time, the variance of the adequacy of Sad of the torque empirical model Mk turned out to be, on average, 1.5 times less if the model was built according to the automated tests results. The obtained data indicated an improvement in the quality of measurements in the transition to automated test methods. From a scientific point of view, the most original part of the work is the application of the “Gaussian process” method to build empirical models. This method provides more accurate results than, for example, the traditional method of least squares. The practical significance of the work lies in the ability to considerably reduce routine actions on a motor stand, and the additional time spent on developing and testing a test scenario (program) is compensated for by the fact that scenario models can be used in the future for other similar tests. The proposed methodology makes it possible to cover a significant part of the internal combustion engine calibration tests. For example, you can apply it if you possess the preliminary information about the test object (basing on which you can draw up an experiment plan) and the engine is to be prepared either for a car road tests or tests under special conditions.

The results of modeling the impact of oil burning on the condition of the ship forced trunk piston diesel engine when using lubricants with different operating properties. The dependence of wear rate on oil fume, the quality of used lubricants and marine diesel forcing is obtained by modeling wear using the theory of planning experiments. The area of minimal wear has been determined. There has been detected the most efficient waste oil providing favorable conditions for resource-saving operation of the internal combustion engine. It is inferred that reduction of engine oil fume changes the main parameters of its aging. At the same time, the intensity of oil aging in main directions and of engine wear reduce from 0.75 to 2.25 g/(kW∙h), whereas the fume increases. Its further increase is accompanied by an increase in the rate of oil aging and engine wear. The detected "fracture" depending on И( g y) after passing the border g yopt = 2.25-2.5 g/(kW∙h) is stipulated by different ratio of oil exchange in the lubrication system and the ingress of gases into the crankcase. There has been determined the degree of oil burning, at which sludging and lacquer formation of the internal combustion engine is least intense. The smallest carbon deposits on pistons and in the crankcase of the engine can be observed when the diesel engine is operating in the zone of optimal carbonation. Experimentally, the dependence of tribotechnical properties, in particular, wear of insoluble products of oil aging has been detected at different degrees of oil burning. It is revealed that these characteristics also depend on the quality of the used fuels and lubricants and the conditions of formation and turnover of the oil film on the mirror of the cylinder, the thermal effect on it of the engine workflow. The result of simulation is the prediction of resource-saving operation of marine trunk diesel engines by maintaining oil fume at the optimal level.

This paper presents the internal combustion engine power generation using syngas from the updraft biomass gasifier as a fuel. 3 types of fuel such as Golden shower tree wood chip, charcoal, and gasohol 91 were tested for the engine running. The experiment was performed on July 25-26, 2017 at Faculty of Industrial Technology Vallaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Pathum Tani Thailand. Data on the performance of the engines fueled with producer gas and gasohol 91 is presented. The experiment was carried out by using a four-stroke 13 HP gasoline engine coupled with a generator as a load in producing electricity. The carburetor was modified for fuel gas running by loading 7 kg/batch of Golden shower chips and charcoal for syngas producing and the engine performance was measured. The results showed that, the engine power was 110.125 W, 115.425 W, and 128.038 W, while using a golden shower chip, charcoal, and gasohol 91 as the fuel, respectively. The generator efficiency is 80% therefore the generator power reduces 20%. The test indicated that golden shower chips could produce higher quality of syngas than charcoal but the engine power has less power than fueled with gasohol 91.

EU is heading to efforts to promote the use of biofuels. Biofuels are replaced fossil fuels only partially. They are produced by a mixture of fossil fuels and biofuels. For spark ignition engines, the most widely used biofuel E85, a fuel containing 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. The more biologist is contained in the fuel is thus suffer more from oil charge combustion engine. Therefore, in the paper presented a comparison of the properties of the oil filling when using of fossil fuels (currently contains a small amount of the fuel ethanol) and E85 biofuel. Were monitored passenger vehicle brand Saab 95, namely engine B235 R. From the car was removed a total of 10 samples of engine oil. One part of the samples were removed during operation of the internal combustion engine to the biofuel E85 and the second at operation of the internal combustion engine currently available fossil fuel BA95. The internal combustion engine is used for lubricating motor oil Mobil 1 0W-40th Analysis engine oil are focused on the evaluation of viscosity, density and lubricity.

The authors showed that the imperfection of precision farming methods, methods of transferring energy from the tractor engine to the working bodies required the development of new methods for reliable and accurate identification of the soil and its properties, as well as the state of machine-tractor units. (Research purpose) To determine the actual energy and economic indicators of a working machine and unit reliably and promptly in the operating conditions of agricultural production by parameters closely related to the energy indicators of an internal combustion engine, the measurement of which did not require large costs. (Materials and methods) 24 indirect parameters reflecting the power and degree of engine load were used for the operational assessment. In this case, the angular accelerations of the internal combustion engine and the turbocharger rotor crankshaft, including those caused by the operation of individual cylinders, the working processes of the generator (their average and extreme values), as well as the amplitude-frequency spectra of these processes, and speed characteristics were taken into account. To improve the accuracy and reliability of the assessment of energy indicators, the authors selected the processes in the frequency and phase domains. (Results and discussion) The considered methods were tested in production conditions during the main processing of the alkaline-chernozem complexes of the Chulym district of the Novosibirsk region. The authors found that the use of a flexible machine-tractor unit based on an energy-rich tractor improved the quality of soil cultivation: the share of soil lumps less than 5 centimeters in size was 73-80 percent; the productivity of the tillage machine increased by 15-20 percent. (Conclusions) The authors proved that with the help of indirectly determined indicators of power and degree of load, it was possible to estimate the actual values of the energy and technical and economic indicators of the working machine and the unit, the quality of the assembly of the unit, the heterogeneity of the soil was much easier and cheaper than using the known force-measuring methods. It was found that the use of digital systems for automatic control of the unit using the indicated indicators made it possible to provide quite simply the setting of the optimal zone of energy modes.

А significant factor affecting the reliability of the internal combustion engine and its technical and Economic indicators is the efficiency of the lubrication system. When the standard oil supply is applied, semiliquid friction occurs between the contacting parts, in which the parts are not completely separated by a layer of oil. However, with this friction, the required durability of components and parts with heat removal is guaranteed. The performance of the engine lubrication system is determined by the state of its elements (coarse and fine filters, oil radiator and pump, valves), as well as the quality of oil, its level in the internal combustion engine crankcase and temperature. In domestic internal combustion engines, the minimum oil level in the crankcase is controlled, but in operation there are situations when the oil level exceeds its maximum permissible value. This situation occurs when coolant or fuel enters the lubrication system. Coolant can get into the oil if the cylinder head gaskets, sleeve o-rings, or cracks in the cylinder head and block are broken. Top-Livo can enter the oil through worn and damaged parts of the fuel equipment (gas pump diaphragm, fuel pump plunger pairs, etc.). These liquids sharply degrade the quality of the oil and increase the wear of internal combustion engine parts, and the standard singlelevel indicator will not give the driver operational information about the malfunction. In connection with the above, the purpose of this work is to improve the technology for monitoring the technical condition of the internal combustion engine lubrication system on the example of the d-245 diesel engine and its modifications, which are widely used in GAZ (GAZ-3309), ZIL (ZIL-5301), MAZ (MAZ Zubrenok), PAZ buses (PAZ-3205), MTZ tractors (MTZ — 100, 892, 1020), agricultural and construction equipment.by developing and implementing a built — in device for monitoring the minimum and maximum oil levels in the crankcase, as well as its temperature. The scientific novelty of the work is due to the use of new circuit and technical solutions, as well as the original algorithm of the sensor operation developed by the authors, based on the use of switching laws of reed switches with normally closed and normally open contacts, the operation of which is spaced over time and controlled oil levels. Block diagram of the proposed device comprises a multifunction sensor level and oil temperature, including sensors of the mi-minimum and increased levels of engine oil in the crankcase of the engine and its temperature, the operation mode switch signal cooling temperature-edusei fluid and engine oil, the first and second voltage сomparators, indicator lights, buzzer, switch power supply, voltage regulator and regular temperature sensor coolant. The use of the developed device significantly increases the reliability and convenience of monitoring one of the most important indicators of internal combustion engines-the oil level in the crankcase, which will avoid significant engine damage. As a result of further research, it is planned to develop the device design, conduct laboratory studies of the developed multifunctional sensor in order to determine the dependence of its resistance on the temperature at the normal level of engine oil in the measuring flask, as well as determine the actual values of the developed sensor response heights at the lower and upper levels.
