This research paper deals with the increasingly urgent energy issues; the world attaches great importance to begin the development of new energy and related technology. At present, large-scale photovoltaic power generation and scale of renewable energy have become parts of development strategy, meanwhile, it is the way to guide the development of the photovoltaic industry. However, because of its own characteristics different from conventional power generation grid-connected PV power station and its security, stability, reliable operation become new challenges that power grid and PV power plant need to face. Grid-connected voltage source inverters are essential for the integration of the distributed energy resources. However, due to the small capacity and intermittent nature of renewable sources, it is extremely difficult to integrate them into the existing grid system. This project has taken an attempt to design a control method for a three-phase grid-connected inverter system for distributed generation applications. The method is hysteresis current control along with PI control. Hysteresis current control is a commonly employed method for power control of VSI. The control procedure is implemented in an analog circuit using Op-amps and other ICs. This controller will generate pulses to fire the inverter in order to control the current output of the inverter. The control method along with the PI controller provides robust current regulation and achieves unity power factor. In addition, in this project development of a controller in D Space is attempted. Simulation and experimental results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the design.

Now a day‟s, Photo Voltaic (PV) power generation rapidly increasing. This power generation highly depending on the temperature and irradiation. When this power interface with grid through the voltage source inverter with PI controller. Its gains should be updated due to the parametric changes for the better performance. In This Work Fuzzy Controller updates the gains of the proportional integral (PI)s Controller under variable parametric conditions. the gaines of the PI Controller are updated based on the error current and change in error current through the fuzzy controller. The error current in direct and quadrature frame are the Inputs to the PI controller. The PI Controller generates the reference voltage to the pulse width modulation technique. Here reference voltage is compared with the carrier signal to generate the pulses to the 3-Ph Inverter connected to the grid. This controller has given well dynamic response with less steady state error and also given The less THD of the grid current compared to the PI and Fuzzy controller. It Is implemented and verified in MATLAB Simulink.

The Dual Buck Half Bridge inverter has been widely researched because of no bridge arm shoot-through problem and higher efficiency. Because the switch frequency always varies, the output filter parameters are very difficult to optimally design by using hysteresis current control. In this paper, a SPWM control method is proposed. The control method not only can be easy realized, but also get the no-biased current model. Finally, the proposed SPWM control method is verified by the simulation and experiment results.

Abstract This paper proposes a modified four-leg distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM) topology for compensation of unbalanced and nonlinear loads in three-phase four-wire distribution system. DSTATCOM, connected in parallel to the load, supplies reactive and harmonic powers demanded by unbalanced nonlinear loads. In this proposed topology, the voltage source inverter (VSI) of DSTATCOM is connected to point of common coupling (point of interconnection of source, load, DSTATCOM) through interface inductor and series capacitance, unlike the conventional topology which consists of interface inductor alone. Load compensation with a lower value of input DC link voltage of VSI is possible in this modified topology compared to conventional topology. A comparative study on modified and conventional topologies in terms of voltage rating of inverter power switches, switching losses in VSI and power rating of input DC capacitor of VSI is presented. The detailed design aspects of DC link capacitor and interface series capacitor are also presented. The reference filter currents are generated using instantaneous symmetrical component theory and are tracked using hysteresis current control technique. A detailed simulation study is carried out, to compare the compensation performances of conventional, modified topologies using PSCAD simulator and experimental studies are done to validate the simulation results.

The large-scale grid connection of photovoltaic power generation results in the power system frequency fluctuation and frequency regulation capacity decline, which endangers the dynamic security of power grid frequency. In order to reduce the frequency deviation of power grid and tap the potential of photovoltaic power generation participating in frequency regulation, a control method of photovoltaic power participating in frequency regulation of power grid is proposed in this paper. The maximum allowable power of photovoltaic power is predicted through system identification, and the load shedding rate is determined based on this, and the output power is corrected according to the system frequency deviation to participate in frequency regulation of power grid. The model based on MATLAB Simulation results shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
