The performance of clean sawing was determined during the bucking of aspen samples using a STIHL MSA 220 battery saw with a removable AP 300S battery. In accordance with the planning of the experiment, data were obtained on the average time of cutting tsr with the fixation of the average diameter of the cut Dsr. After processing the results of the experiment, the values of the average productivity of pure sawn Ppp were obtained. The AP 300S battery was used as a power source. As a result of calculations, for uninterrupted operation during a 7-hour work shift, the worker will need 4 charged batteries. For more efficient work, it is proposed to use modern backpack batteries, which are installed in a special orthopedic vest with shoulder and waist fixation on the employee’s back. Based on the results of their own research, the authors proposed an alternative source of electric current in the conditions of a forest workshop site. As a priority for the conditions of the Urals, we can recommend solar panels or thermal generators operating on the basis of the Peltier principle. An energy heat column equipped with electronic thermogenerators can be recommended as the most effective charger for restoring the operability of batteries.

A method for synthesizing the control laws of a multi-section supercapacitor power supply of an electric drive is developed. The synthesized control law for an electric drive realizes the prescribed motion and minimizes the required capacitance of the power source. It is achieved through optimal disconnection and connection to the power line of the drive at designated times of one of the power supply sections. Reduction of the required capacitance of the power supply is achieved through a fuller discharge of some of its sections in motion conditions requiring a low level of electrical voltage and saving high voltage in other sections for the respective motion conditions. A mathematical formulation of the problem and a method of its solution is proposed. An example of the implementation of the proposed method is considered.

The article discusses the use of solar batteries as an alternative source of energy in marine power plants, as effective replacement of conventional sails with "solar sails" with semiconductor elements. There have been identified main advantages and disadvantages of three main types of solar batteries: monocrystalline, polycrystalline and amorphic. There has been given the characteristics of the actual value of the factual insolation (irradiation of the surface by a parallel beam of light coming from the direction where the center of the solar disk is visible at a given time) in calculating hybrid solar energy systems, which, if the criteria are clearly defined, can significantly increase the efficiency of their use. The analysis of the application of solar batteries on sea vessels is carried out, taking into account the geographic component and the number of light days. The article also determines the possibility of using solar batteries for various types of sea transport (cargo and passenger ships, yachts, ferries and others).

The need of electricity in every ship are very diverse. Power plants for using diesel as an engine can also come from sunlight as an alternative source of electrical energy. The measurement of solar energy in Indonesia is 4.8 kWh /m2. This renewable energy is in suitable for the Indonesian topography. Thus, the energy from the sunlight around the equator is so abundant that its availability is always available throughout the year, except when it rains. Utilization of solar energy can be used as a substitute for conventional energy which is starting to be limited and the price is quite expensive. Therefore, the data that are presented in this paper comes from publications, manufacturers, relevant official government documents, scientific publications and other publications. Utilization of solar energy as electrical energy can be done by using solar panels mounted in ships. The generated electricity can be used to turn on electrical equipment and send lights at night, and can be used as fishing aids. The use of solar power plant can also have a positive impact on fishermen, such as improving health, economy, environmental sustainability, and building independent fishermen.

One of the main problems faced during solar panels operation is the contamination of their front surfaces. This paper presents the results of solving that problem by means of new equipment design development. The authors have proposed an autonomous and reliable cleaning method with low power consumption and no possibility of panel shading. In connection with the noted criteria, an automated system with a short payback period was created. The article presents a description of the developed device, the results of a study on the choice of an engine, an electric drive. The use of an automated system for cleaning solar panels will allow minimizing the share of human participation in the solar panels cleaning.

In the paper, a model of a three-phase frequency-controlled induction electric drive has been developed in Simulink Matlab 2019 (MathWorks, Natick, MA, USA). This model is mathematically converted into a two-phase model by transforming equations. It is proposed to compensate the voltage drop in the power system during start-up operation under load by using supercapacitors as a buffer power source. A block of supercapacitors was calculated. Simulation modeling was performed at a different voltage than the network. The diagrams of the transient processes occurring in the electric drive when the power supply is changed were prepared. It was found that such a principle of implementing an additional source of electric energy allows to start induction electric drives in areas remote from industrial networks without significantly affecting their static and dynamic characteristics.

The refrigeration systems are of great importance in the daily life of the human being, due to the fact that it is necessary to have cold storage systems for different processes and perishable products preservation. The generated electric power as an alternative source has been used for refrigeration systems involved in sustainable development programs. The aims of this research were to characterize a cooling system powered by solar panels and that pretend to improve the quality of life. Refrigerating machines that use alternative sources of energy contribute to sustainable development, however, those that do not use it have a greater environmental impact. The solar refrigerator prototype has a quantitative-qualitative approach in deductive processes based on interpretation and data collection. This was carried out using own materials for the refrigerators construction that allow obtaining a compact configuration, presenting, pressure-volume operation curves and autonomy of the system with maintenance similar to conventional refrigeration systems. The refrigeration system is intended to be used in marginalized areas, low-income organizations and in support unprotected populations.
