The article focuses on the theoretical and methodological aspects of the use of interactive learning and its advantages over traditional learning. The use of interactive learning in both secondary and higher education is analyzed. The research goal is to theoretically substantiate and highlight the introduction of methods of the model of training future Ukrainian language and literature teachers by means of interactive learning technologies, as well as to determine the factors of their choice. The main research methods used were analysis, generalization and modeling, observation, synthesis, systematization. The results of the conducted research allowed the author to reveal the qualities that a future teacher of Ukrainian language and literature should possess; to describe some pedagogical problems of training the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature by means of interactive learning technologies. The benefit of this study is the defined content of interactive learning, which is believed to be a specially organized comfortable mutual learning of participants of the educational process as equal its subjects, which provides for their continuous active interaction, during which each of the students realizes and reflects all its knowledge and actions, feels successful and intellectually capable. The author identified such interactive learning methods of the model of training future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in higher education institutions as: trainings, educational discussions; game technologies; interactive lectures: problem lectures, lecture-visualization, binary lecture, lecture-press conference, round table, cases, brainstorming. Moreover, the most used interactive learning methods of training future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in universities are given and theoretically grounded; they are training, discussion, role playimg, method of «Spoiled phone», method of «remote project work Minecraft», «Сourt hearing», «Augmented reality», use of presentations. The author highlights their introduction into the work of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, states the positive aspects of interactive learning compared to classical one, determines seven factors for the choice of methods. As a result the author makes a conclusion that the use of interactive technologies not only contributes to the creation of an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual understanding in the educational institution, but also implements the basic principles of personality-oriented learning.

This paper is concerned with the review of active learning methods implemented in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering courses. The active learning methods are categorized into two groups of in-class activities without the use of computers and computer-based classrooms. The strategies to encourage university instructors to adopt active learning methods are also discussed. The paper also addresses the pilot project for the implementation of a novel computer-based experiential learning in the course of “Robot Manipulators: Kinematics, Dynamics, Control” at the University of Waterloo, Canada. A Student Interactive Learning System (SILS) has been developed for in-class activities in this course. The SILS system has two components: students’ mobile devices and a front-end website in which the instructor has control to upload the demonstrations and quizzes and receive students’ responses. The students are connected to the website through the WiFi connection. Findings of an initial survey, which was conducted at the start of the semester, revealed that majority of the students find the conventional classroom passive and believe adding interactivity in the lecture enhances their in-class learning experiences.

Undergraduate engineering design students face the challenge of proving the durability of complex mechanical systems. Students are burdened with an excess of existing information. The key challenge lies in making a dry subject interesting to undergraduate students to increase fundamental skills and motivate students towards self-determined learning. This paper presents a newly developed didactic approach that uses interactive learning methods for courses with large student numbers to increase learning success. The novel learning concept focuses on improving student motivation using interactive learning methods to achieve the intended learning outcomes and promote selfdetermined learning. Learning methods within the interactive learning concept are applied to prove the durability of welded joints. The paper highlights experiences from teaching practice gained while using these novel interactive learning methods in large engineering courses of more than 900 undergraduate engineering design students.

Learning methods play an important role and receive special attentions in our life. We live in digital era, where everyone wants something efficient, effective, dynamic, fast and interactive. The term ‘interactive’ appears in two distinct strands of educational research discourse: one concerning pedagogy and the other concerning new technologies in education. Teaching students with traditional method where there is only one way of communication is no longer effective. The word interactive is the key to have an effective and efficient teaching and learning process where the teacher can grab students’ attention and students can learn more in comparison to that of the traditional method.

For future specialists in the field of mechanical engineering, mathematical competence is the basis for training. Based on previous research, we have proposed a future engineers mathematical competence formation model. It relies on the appropriate psychological and pedagogical mathematical competence formation conditions. An important place among these conditions takes the innovative teaching methods using, which include interactive technologies. The advantage of interactive learning methods is the high efficiency in the learning process and acquiring appropriate skills. This will make future engineers to think critically and consciously find ways of a variety of engineering problems solving. The purpose of the article is to find out the specifics of using an interactive learning technologies in the process of the mathematical competence of future specialists of the engineering industry formation in the study of physical and mathematical disciplines. The article presents a didactic model of using an interactive teaching methods in the process of studying particular topics of physical and mathematical disciplines. This didactic model is given for the subjects «Higher Mathematics», «Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics», «Applied Mathematics», «Mathematical Programming», «Fundamentals of Mathematical Modeling» and «Physics». The proposed model of interactive learning methods implementation is based on the gradual, step-by-step, logical using of interactive learning methods from the simplest to the most complex. This technology includes: an interactive learning methods implementation in traditional forms of training of engineers; using a wide range of methods of active learning in a educational process; a comfortable learning conditions organization in which all students actively interact with each other; targeted development of an online learning methods for selected topics. The content and types of interactive learning are described and examples of using these methods in the system of forming mathematical competence of engineers are given. The use of interactive technologies contributes to the development of students' critical thinking skills and cognitive interests. Interactive learning methods allows to: involve the whole group in active work; learn to reason a thoughts logically; to develop the ability to make common decisions; to improve the level of understanding the core of modeling of technological processes and systems; raise the level of mathematical knowledge, skills and abilities usage.
