The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the stages of development of scientific attitude instruments for elementary school students. (2) the quality of the instruments developed scientific attitude in terms of validity, reliability, and validity konstruknya. Methods of data collection using questionnaires with respondents 200 elementary school students from class IV to class VI. Analysis using the statistical analysis program assisted SPPS 13 for Windows. The steps include instrument development; 1) set of constructs, which set limits on the variables to be measured, 2) determine the factors to find the elements that exist in a construct, 3) prepare a statement grains, 4) implement test instrument was developed. Judging from the quality of the instruments developed realibitas looks pretty good instrument category at 0.881 and after the instrument items were eliminated from about 36 to 15 are also still in the good category is 0.813. Based on the criteria of commonality factor extraction and rotation factors obtained four factors, number of factors extracted by the factor of as much as 4 percent of the cumulative variance is greater than 60% is 65.834%. Judging from the validation performed factor by dividing the number of respondents into two groups of parts, and then performed a factor analysis on each hemisphere of the respondents. The results showed that the factor validation valid results, each still produce a 4 factor with almost equal distribution of items. This further strengthen that 4-dimensional factor in the scientific attitude for elementary school children on an instrument that has developed a strong enough konstruknya validity. The results of the development of scientific instruments already reflect the attitude and decent results are used to measure the scientific attitude of students in elementary school

Kata kunci: instrumen penilaian kinerja, guru sekolah dasar _____________________________________________________________ THE ASESSMENT INSTRUMENT DEVELOPMENT OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ PERFORMANCE BASED ON TASKS AND FUNCTIONSAbstract The objective of the research is to develop an assessment instrument of elementary school teachers’ performance in order to attain the components, the indicators and the assessment instrument of the elementary school teachers’ performance. The assessment instrument of elementary school teachers’ performance, in the research, was developed by using research and development method that was adapted from the Borg and Gall’s model of learning development. Based on the results of validity and reliability test, the instrument had been valid and reliable. The results of factor analysis show a quiet good fit model which leads to the following conclusions: (1) the assessment instrument of elementary school teachers’ performance consists of five components namely: teaching, educating, training and directing, guiding and scoring and evaluating; and (2) each component for the assessment instrument of elementary school teachers’ performance can be elaborated into several relevant indicators as described in the result of the study. Keywords: instrument of performance assessment, elementary school teachers

It was rarely the academicians, and practitioners knew how to make the standardized instruments to analyze the student's multiple intelligences. The purpose of this study was to describe the development of a standardized instrument of multiple intelligences for children in elementary school. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. In qualitative research, the research instrument was the researcher himself. The research instrument was not external or objective, but internal or subjective, namely the researcher himself without using tests, questionnaires, or experiments. Therefore the direct presence of researchers was a necessity in qualitative research. The data collection techniques used were observation and documentation. The results obtained in this study were to identify multiple intelligences in 7-12 years old children, we could use standardized instruments based on the classification of children's multiple intelligences. To analyze the development of multiple intelligences of 7-12 years old children, we could use the major theory of Gardner and Armstrong. The development of standard instruments used to measure multiple intelligences of 7-12 years old children, we could use 13 steps of Jamaris theory. This development step unravels the theory, determines the basis, then turns it into a standardized instrument that can be used to measure the type of multiple intelligences in 7-12 years old children. How to use the standardized instruments and its recommendations for teachers are discussed. Keywords:multiple intelligences; standardized instrument; development

The teachers of 2231 elementary school children were asked to identify those with known or suspected hearing problems. Following screening, the data were compared. Teachers identified 5% of the children as hearing-impaired, while screening identified only 3%. There was agreement between the two procedures on 1%. Subsequent to the teacher interviews, rescreening and tympanometry were conducted. These procedures indicated that teacher screening and tympanometry were in agreement on 2% of the total sample or 50% of the hearing-loss group. It was concluded that teachers could supplement audiometry, particularly when otoscopy and typanometry are not available.

In 1972 a program was developed in Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland, to provide daily resource remediation to elementary school-age children with language handicaps. In accord with the Maryland’s guidelines for language and speech disabilities, the general goal of the program was to provide remediation that enabled children with language problems to increase their abilities in the comprehension or production of oral language. Although self-contained language classrooms and itinerant speech-language pathology programs existed, the resource program was designed to fill a gap in the continuum of services provided by the speech and language department.
