The current study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ERP resource program in raising the efficiency of supply management at King Saud Medical City in Riyadh. This is in light of the high demand witnessed for a resource planning program and system by medical institutions in Saudi Arabia. To achieve the main objective of this study, the researcher adopted the descriptive and analytical approach as an approach to preparing the study. In addition to the use of the questionnaire as a main tool for collecting data from the members of the study population, who number (85) employees of the users of (ERP Resources Program) in the Supply Department in King Saud Medical City in Riyadh. Following the collection and analysis of data from the study community, a set of results were reached, the most prominent of which are: Emphasizing the existence of a positive statistically significant relationship between (ERP Resource Program) in its various roles (achieving compatibility and effectiveness, managing and planning medical stocks, effective control) in King Saud Medical City, And the degree of improvement in the efficiency of the dimensions of supply management (economic cost, response and cooperation) in King Saud Medical City in Riyadh, where the value of the correlation coefficient was 0.996. In light of the results reached, several recommendations were suggested, the most important of which are: the need to enhancing the best use of the ERP system in reducing storage costs within the departments and departments of King Saud Medical City. The maximum benefit from the ERP system must be made to accelerate the decision-making process within King Saud Medical City in Riyadh.

The literature has shown that early childhood programs are widely accepted as an intervention that is effective at improving outcomes for families. The current study explores parents’ experiences within a school-based family resource program initiative, StrongStart BC. This qualitative study draws on ecological systems and sociocultural theoretical perspective to examine parents’ perceptions of familial outcomes and program characteristics, in order to identify which characteristics are fundamental for successful outcomes. Thematic analysis was used to analyse focus group data gathered from four program sites as part of a larger study evaluating the effectiveness of StrongStart BC across British Columbia. Results indicate that successful familial outcomes from participation in family resource programs are influenced by a complex interplay of factors related to accessibility and pedagogical characteristics, with accessibility standing out as a fundamentally important consideration. Drawing on the broadly defined concept of accessibility, implications for school-based family resource programs are discussed and recommendations for practice, policy and future research are presented.

The rapid growth of industrialization and diversification worldwide diverted the trend in the labor market to be shifted towards alternative work arrangements, also known as Non-standard Employment (NSE). In the Philippines, these alternative forms of employment of NSE can be greatly observed. The majority of workers under NSE arrangements fall under fixed-term or contractual employees. The purpose of this study is to assess the level of job satisfaction and work-life balance of the NSE workers of a manpower agency in a highly urbanized city in the Philippines and explore their challenges.  Moreover, it sought to determine the significant relationship between job satisfaction and work-life balance. Using a standardized questionnaire, the data were gathered from a sample of 282 agency workers. The study tested hypotheses using Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis, and Spearman rank. The results showed that workers demonstrate a low level of job satisfaction while there is a moderate level of work-life balance. However, the results indicated there is a significant difference in the level of job satisfaction and level of work-life balance only for the variable sex.  Likewise, findings revealed a significant relationship between job satisfaction and work-life balance. The most challenging for the NSE workers are time management, company policies, dealing with customers, and motivation for the job.  The study concludes that job satisfaction influences the work-life balance of the NSE workers.  The findings of the study provide valuable insight for manpower agencies in the formulation of a human resource program focused on improving employee satisfaction of the job.

AbstractSalutogenesis introduces a paradigm that requires a perceptual change towards what creates health and how health can be facilitated. Removing the lens of pathogenesis, aging is an achievement to be embraced and older people are valued as assets for their wealth of experiences, resources, skills and knowledge. From the perspectives of older adults, the concept of healthy aging is multidimensional, comprising bio-psycho-social-spiritual health. Evidence shows that sense of coherence via resistance resources promotes health outcomes among older adults. However, very few works have attempted to operationalise the salutogenic theory to promote healthy aging among older community dwellers. This chapter provides a detailed description of the Salutogenic Healthy Aging Program Embracement (SHAPE) intervention for senior-only household dwellers. SHAPE represents an application of the salutogenic concepts: sense of coherence and resistance resources. SHAPE is an integrative person-centric multi-dimensional health resource program that employs an asset-based insight-oriented approach. Illustration of examples in which how the salutogenic concepts were operationalised in developing the SHAPE intervention approach, its content, activities and the conduction of the intervention are presented.

Camelina sativa (L.) Crntz. is a hardy self-pollinated oilseed plant that belongs to the Brassicaceae family; widely grown throughout the northern hemisphere until the 1940s for production of vegetable oil but was later displaced by higher-yielding rapeseed and sunflower crops. However, interest in camelina as an alternative oil source has been renewed due to its high oil content that is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, antioxidants as well as its ability to grow on marginal lands with minimal requirements. For this reason, our group decided to screen the existing (2011) National Genetic Resources Program (NGRP) center collection of camelina for its genetic diversity and provide a phenotypic evaluation of the cultivars available. Properties evaluated include seed and oil traits, developmental and mature morphologies, as well as chromosome content. Selectable marker genes were also evaluated for potential use in biotech manipulation. Data is provided in a raw uncompiled format to allow other researchers to analyze the unbiased information for their own studies. Our evaluation has determined that the NGRP collection has a wide range of genetic potential for both breeding and biotechnological manipulation purposes. Accessions were identified within the NGRP collection that appear to have desirable seed harvest weight (5.06 g/plant) and oil content (44.1%). Other cultivars were identified as having fatty acid characteristics that may be suitable for meal and/or food use, such as low (<2%) erucic acid content, which is often considered for healthy consumption and ranged from a high of 4.79% to a low of 1.83%. Descriptive statistics are provided for a breadth of traits from 41 accessions, as well as raw data, and key seed traits are further explored. Data presented is available for public use.
