Abstract 1. There exists a linear correlation between rheological parameters (crossover frequency and crossover modulus) and structural parameters (Mw, and MWD) for commercial-type butyl elastomers. 2. There appears to be potential value in utilizing rheological testing for quality control for commercial-type butyl elastomers. 3. Further work is required to resolve testing problems (air entrapment and sample trimming) which affect the precision of the rheological measurements.

Spin echo Fourier transform proton n.m.r. spectra of whole blood contain resonances from both erythrocytes and plasma. A large number of well-resolved signals from mobile protons of low-molecular-weight metabolites in plasma and serum have been identified. Spectra from the plasmas of eight animal species and commercial, quality control sera are compared. CaEDTA2- and MgEDTA2- resonances can be used for the simultaneous determination of EDTA-chelatable calcium and magnesium concentrations in intact plasma and other biological fluids. Cholesterol is too immobile to contribute to the spectra of intact plasma, but is readily estimated by n.m.r. in both its free and esterified forms after extraction into methanol.

Recent study was conducted to develop a simple UV spectrophotometric method to determine Phenytoin in bulk and injection form according to official requirement and validate as per ICH guidelines. λmax of Phenytoin was found 202 nm. Linearity existed perceived in the concentration assortment 2-8 μg/ml (r2 = 0.999) for the method. The method was validated pertaining to linearity, precision and accuracy studies, LOD and LOQ consistent with ICH guidelines. The existent method was establish to be simple, linear, precise, accurate as well as sensitive and can be applied for routine quality control enquiry for the analysis of Phenytoin in bulk and injection form.
