In this material is scientifically justified the method of reducing the amount of the resulting head fraction during fractional distillation. Scientifically based the prospects for the repeated application of a new product fractional distillation of an intermediate fraction in the technology of manufacturing fruit distillates. Сomparative analysis is presented of the composition of the head fraction and with / without isolation (s) and with / without the use (s) of an intermediate fraction, following the technical requirements. The expediency of the process has been proved with the selection of four instead of three fractions characteristic of the classical technology of production of fruit distillates.

This paper deals with the problem of selection the most suitable trip-modelling tool (TMT), which is a part of the more complex integrated transport planning system (ITPS) at the regional scale. Since an application of TMT is not autonomous and several different users exist the selection problem is not a trivial. In this paper, an original five-phase selection procedure is presented. The first phase consists in specifica¬tion of both, detailed expectations of all identified users and technical requirements of ITPS. Second phase deals with research on available TMT while a third one is concentrated on defining a comprehensive set of criteria. In this phase critical criteria as well as selection criteria are defined. First one is utilised to eliminate unacceptable TMTs in phase four and second one to evaluate and select most adequate TMT in phase five. In the paper an exemplary application of this procedure is presented. The authors have defined 2 critical criteria and a set of 19 selection criteria. The last one is divided into 3 main subsets, i.e. functional, technical and financial contexts of selection process. All the selection criteria are characterised by 43 sub-criteria and some of them are more detailed extended. Using this procedure 3 out of 6 alternative TMTs including Emme, Aimsun and Visum have been initially accepted and next evaluated. Finally, Visum has been selected and recommended for application into ITPS.

The need for lipstick continues to increase along with the emergence of a new lipstick products both domestic and global brands to follow the needs of its consumers, the new product has a variety of functions other than just as a lip color, but also as a moisturizer / lip protection even as treatment. Adult lipstick is packed with advertisements and packaging are very interesting addition to the color choice of more and more. In determining the selection of lipstick products consumers often consider the combination of the main attributes and other factors that are trade-offs. This study aims to determine the attributes and combination of attributes among the most preferred by consumers for a segment of the age and the amount of income. Sources of data in this study were obtained from 138 respondents in the city of Bogor and its surroundings, conjoint analysis is used to determine the usefulness of each attribute and their relative weights as a tool to predict the preferences of a particular segment or as a whole. The results showed the order of importance weight according to the respondents is that the quality attributes (34.95%), the type of color (33.21%) and benefits (31.84%), while the combination of the most preferred products are: lipstick durable / waterproof, according to skin color, and functioning for moisturizing / protective lip. In the description also delivered conjoin analysis results for each age and income segments.

Abstract The use of in silico predictions for the assessment of bacterial mutagenicity under the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) M7 guideline is recommended when two complementary (quantitative) structure-activity relationship (Q)SAR models are used. Using two systems may increase the sensitivity and accuracy of predictions but also increases the need to review predictions, particularly in situations where results disagree. During the 4th ICH M7/QSAR Workshop held during the Joint Meeting of the 6th Asian Congress on Environmental Mutagens (ACEM) and the 48th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Environmental Mutagen Society (JEMS) 2019, speakers demonstrated their approaches to expert review using 20 compounds provided ahead of the workshop that were expected to yield ambiguous (Q)SAR results. Dr. Chris Barber presented a selection of the reviews carried out using Derek Nexus and Sarah Nexus provided by Lhasa Limited. On review of these compounds, common situations were recognised and are discussed in this paper along with standardised arguments that may be used for such scenarios in future.

New product concept development is considered to be a critical step and the main determinant for the success or failure of new product development. This paper introduces a new methodology for the evaluation and selection of new product concepts using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Conjoint Analysis (CA). The proposed methodology integrates customer perceived value of the new product concepts through the use of CA and uses this perceived value as a measure for the new concepts performance. In addition, the methodology takes into account the development burden that a company has to perform to bring the new concept into a state of market readiness. This development burden is estimated by determining two main factors, namely the burden to produce and the burden to sell the new product concept. The customer perceived value and the development burden are both used in DEA to evaluate the new product concepts resulting in the selection of the best product concept. The applicability of the proposed methodology is illustrated through a case study. Keywords: Product development, concept selection, data envelopment analysis, conjoint analysis.

Footwear is a booming sector in Bangladesh. Disposing of process residues from the footwear industries, especially production waste of thermoplastic rubber and polyvinyl chloride soles as well as human used soles is a big concern due to its non-biodegradability. In this work, waste thermoplastic rubber (TPR) and polyvinylchloride (PVC) soles were used as an energy source through the fixed-bed-fire-tube heating pyrolysis to reduce the pollution load. The experiments were performed at varying temperature within the range of 250°C to 450°C at every 100°C interval for each case. In pyrolysis oil, char and gas were produced from the both TPR and PVC soles; temperature increment was created more percentage of oil from the both soles. At same condition TPR sole was produced 12.3% more oil than PVC sole. The pyrolytic oils were made fractional distillation; obtained liquids were relatively greater in volume and low boiling range. The obtained liquids from the fractional distillation were exhibited more light fractions present in the pyrolytic polyvinyl chloride oil (PPVCO) than pyrolytic thermoplastic rubber oil (PTPRO). The process could be optimized for the large scale, which will offer advantages to reduce the environmental impact as well as the production of new product from the waste soles.Bangladesh J. Sci. AbstractThis paper is concerned with estimating cost of various new product development phases with the use of computational intelligence techniques such as neural networks and fuzzy neural system. Companies tend to develop many new products simultaneously and a limited project budget imposes the selection of the most promising new product development projects. The evaluation of new product projects requires cost estimation. The model of cost estimation contains product design, prototype manufacturing and testing, and it is specified in terms of a constraint satisfaction problem. The illustrative example presents comparative analysis of estimating product development cost using computational intelligence techniques and multiple regression model.

Content and language integrated learning (CLIL) of foreign language and profile disciplines is currently one of the innovative approaches to teaching foreign language for professional communication to students of non-linguistic universities. However, this approach is not widely used in universities of the Russian Federation. One of the main problems of this lies in the objec-tive difficulties of a foreign language teacher to develop the content of teaching foreign language for professional communication so that it reflects the features of the future professional activity of graduates of the main professional educational programs. We see the solution of the existing problem in the selection of the subject content based on the principle of reliance actualization of interdisciplinary connection and intraprofile specialization of students. In the this work, we a) analyze three approaches to teaching foreign language to students of non-linguistic universities (English for specific purposes – ESP; English as a medium of instruction – EMI; content and language integrated learning of foreign language and subject area); b) consider studies on the selection of the subject content of teaching foreign language to students of “Jurisprudence”, “Gardening”, “Agricultural chemistry and soil science”, “Musical and Instrumental art”, “Vocal art” and “Art of folk singing” programmes; c) develop the content of teaching foreign language for professional communication to students of an agricultural university in the 35.03.07 – “Technology of production and processing of agricultural products” programme in three teaching profiles: “Expertise of quality and safety of agricultural products”, “Technology of production and processing of crop products” and “Technology of production and processing of livestock products”.
