The Koebner Phenomenon (KP) is the appearance of new skin lesions on previously unaffected skin secondary to trauma. This phenomenon is given the fact that the new lesions that appear are clinically and histologically identical to the patient’s underlying cutaneous disease [1].

Cytotoxic lymphomas comprise a spectrum of peripheral T-cell lymphomas that can have a initial or late cutaneous presentation. We describe a 46-year-old man from Cape Verde, with a dermatosis involving his face and trunk, consisting of monomorphic papules with a smooth surface and both motor and sensory polyneuropathy.The hypothesis of leprosy was supported by the clinical and initial hystopathological findings and the patient was referred to our hospital with suspected Hansen's disease. In the new skin and lymph node biopsies a lymphocyte population was identified whose immunohystochemistry study allowed the diagnosis of T-cell lymphoma with expression of cytotoxic markers. The patient was started on chemotherapy with initial remission of the skin lesions but, subsequently, progression of systemic disease.

Plasma cell leukemia (PCL) is a rare variant of leukemia with an aggressive clinical course and a poor prognosis. The cutaneous involvement in PCL is very rare either at clinical presentation of leukemia, namely “leukemia cutis”, or in the metastatic PCL to the skin. We present a case of eruptive multiple cutaneous nodules in a 56-year-old man with metastatic PCL. Histologically, a diffuse dermal and subcutaneous infiltration of ovoid cells with amphophilic cytoplasm and eccentrically located nucleus consistent with plasmacytoid morphology was observed. Neoplastic cells showed strong immunoexpression for CD138 and CD38 consistent with plasma cells phenotype, and loss of expression of CD56. Kappa light chain restriction similar to the phenotype of his PCL was demonstrated. We suggest that the evaluation of new skin lesions in leukemic patients should include a histopathologic examination to establish the diagnosis as soon as possible and a correct management of the disease.

<p class="Body">Although some smartphone applications are designed for total body photography (TBP), few offer the specificity that enables self- as well as dermatologist-, detection of new lesions, or change in lesion color or in size as little as 1mm, on an ongoing basis. The aim of this study is to assess the sensitivity of a novel TBP application in the detection of changes to color and size of simulated skin lesions. Twenty-five subjects underwent one study visit. After baseline photography, new artificial markings were made or naturally occurring pigmented lesions located in any anatomical region were enhanced/enlarged, and a second matching set of photographs was then taken. From all 25 subjects, a total of 262 skin markings were evaluable. Of these, 241 (92%) were detected by the app, which resulted in an overall sensitivity of 92%. The high sensitivity establishes the app as capable of providing reliable self-TBP that allows detection and monitoring of new skin lesions or change in both size and color. This method greatly enhances the ability to accomplish ongoing self-monitoring and yet provides quality informing images to the dermatologist to assist in decision-making with the patient. </p>

Koebner phenomenon, also known as isomorphic response, is the appearance of active skin lesions in sites of epidermal injury. This manifestation is characteristic of different dermatological diseases, such as lichen planus, vitiligo and psoriasis. We present the case of a psoriatic patient who experienced Koebner phenomenon after Mantoux test, followed by eruption of generalized plaque psoriasis.

<b><i>Background:</i></b> The frequency of tattoos varies from 10% to 30% across the population worldwide. The growing popularity of tattooing increases the number of cutaneous reactions connected with this procedure. As we have not found any previous studies in the literature concerning tattoo complications in Poland and other Eastern European countries, we believe this to be the first study of this kind. <b><i>Objective:</i></b> The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the clinical spectrum of complications associated with the procedure of permanent tattooing among patients from Northern Poland. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> Medical data of 53 patients who developed tattoo-related cutaneous conditions were analyzed. All of the patients were consulted in the Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology Clinic in Gdańsk in the years 2018–2021. Medical history, dermatological assessment, and photographic documentation of skin lesions were performed in each case. Dermoscopic examination was carried out in 16 cases and 20 skin biopsies of the tattoo reactions were performed. <b><i>Results:</i></b> Twenty-one patients (40%) presented tattoo ink hypersensitivity reactions, out of which 18 were triggered by the red ink. In 11 cases (21%), contact dermatitis has developed after tattooing, while 9 of the patients (17%) presented tattoo infectious complications, including local bacterial infections, common warts, molluscum contagiosum, and demodicosis. We collected 8 cases (15%) of papulonodular reactions in black tattoos, and in 6 of them, histology showed granuloma formation. In 2 cases (4%), symptoms of anaphylaxis were observed after the tattooing procedure, and in another 2 cases (4%), Koebner phenomenon in the tattoo was diagnosed. Dermoscopy was the clue to the diagnosis in 4 cases. <b><i>Conclusions:</i></b> This is the first report presenting multiple cases of tattoo complications from Eastern Europe. The results of the study are consistent with other researches, showing a similar distribution of tattoo complications and that across the different pigments used, the red ink is most frequently responsible for tattoo reactions. We emphasize the usefulness of dermoscopic examination in the diagnosis of tattoo-related infections and draw the reader’s attention to the rare, yet hazardous complications connected with peri-tattooing anaphylaxis.

Prototheca wickerhamiiis ubiquitous, saprophytic achlorophyllous algae that cause opportunistic infections in the dog and cat and disseminated disease usually in immunocompromised animals. In this report an uncommon case of canine cutaneous protothecosis is presented. A 6-year-old female boxer was brought in with skin lesions that consisted of nodules and generalized footpad hyperkeratosis, depigmentation, and erosion. Cytology and histopathology showed pyogranulomatous inflammation along with organisms containing round sporangia with spherical sporangiospores. PCR and sequencing identified the causal organism asPrototheca wickerhamii. Therapy applied in this patient with either fluconazole alone or combination of amphotericin B and itraconazole proved effective only for footpad lesions but not for skin nodules. Systemic therapy seems to be ineffective for skin nodules, at least in chronic cases of canine cutaneous protothecosis. Although canine protothecosis usually presents with the disseminated form, cutaneous disease as sole clinical manifestation of the infection may also be witnessed.

Cutaneous metastases from colorectal cancers are rare and are usually present on the abdominal wall or previous surgical incision sites. Remote cutaneous lesions have been reported, however, often occur in the setting of widespread metastatic disease including other visceral secondaries. We present a case of lower extremity cutaneous metastases as the first sign of metastatic disease in a patient with adenocarcinoma of the colon. This case illustrates that new skin lesions may be the initial presentation of metastatic disease in a patient with a history of cancer.

Skin is the largest organ of the human body, it protects them from the external environment. However, the number of new skin cancer cases has been going up in the last few years. Fortunately diagnosing skin cancer in earlier stages could increase the probability of treating cancer. Due to machine learning (ML) and deep learning(DL) has achieved great success in different fields and has shown an outstanding performance in computer vision applications, lots of ML Applications is concerned in this domain. The main goal of this study is to find a computer-aided diagnosis system that can be powerful in early detection, which saves time and money. A simple pipeline is used to train different types of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), choosing the best four networks and ensemble them together without any prior segmentation or repainting.
