The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of online review elements, including electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) quantity, credibility, and quality, on customer’s online repurchase intention through the mediating roles of online seller trust and perceived usefulness of the website. A partial least square (PLS) based structural equation modeling (SEM) was chosen to evaluate the measurement of research constructs and test the research hypotheses. This research uses data collected through online questionnaires in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The respondents’ criterion was college students who had read online recommendations before making purchases on Bukalapak.com, an e-commerce platform in Indonesia. The results suggest that the credibility and quality of eWOM have a positive direct effect on consumers’ repurchase intention, while the eWOM quantity has a negative influence on repurchase intentions. The eWOM credibility and quality indirectly influence repurchase intentions through trust in the online vendor. The perceived usefulness of the websiteonly mediates the influence of eWOM quality on online repurchase intention. Limitations and further research were also discussed.

This study investigates the factors influencing repurchase intention in online shopping context.Self-efficacy and trust were integrated with Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) components, namely performance expectancy and effort expectancy in explaining online repurchase intention. It was hypothesized that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, self-efficacy, and trust influence satisfaction and online repurchase intention. Satisfaction was posited to mediate the relationships between the proposed antecedents and online repurchase intention. 211 use able responses were collected through purposive sampling method and the data was analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). All proposed hypotheses were supported except the effects of effort expectancy and performance expectancy on online repurchase intention. All mediating effects of satisfaction proposed were found to be significant. Based on the findings, implications and future research directions were discussed.

Information about the factors that influence turnover intention is needed by managerial in providing strategic steps to overcome the negative effects of high turnover intention. This study aims to analyze the effect of turnover intention on employee performance with organizational commitment as a moderator variable. The sampling method used was the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The research data used respondents' perceptions of the variables, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results of this study indicate that turnover intention has a negative relation toward employee performance and commitment, although not significant. This condition can occur because of tugging to get high-performing talents in the service industry. This condition is triggered by the increasingly open competition in the world of work so that employees are aware of having to create a positive impression for the company to be left, which will usually be a recommendation to the next destination company. High organizational commitment is an important factor in improving employee performance. High organizational commitment will reduce the desire of employees to leave a company (turnover intention) and reduce the negative influence on employee performance, so that despite high turnover intention, employee performance is remaining high. This happens especially in service companies whose main capital is human resources.

PurposeThis study aims to investigate whether strategy pillars have a positive direct effect on organizational productivity performance (OPP) in the Indonesian HEI (Higher Education Institutions) research setting and, if so, whether the effect is mediated by a performance management system (PMS).Design/methodology/approachThis study used quantitative research employing partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypotheses. A mediation model of the research framework was developed to investigate the mediating role of PMS.FindingsUsing a sample of 182 Indonesian HEI managers, the results indicate that strategy pillars have a positive effect on OPP. Further analysis shows that PMS partially mediates the strategy pillar–OPP relationship.Research limitations/implicationsThis study has limitations. Firstly, the sample size used was relatively small and this may raise the issue of generalization. Secondly, it used a Likert scale and therefore may raise the issue of judgment bias. Lastly, this study is context-specific for Indonesia and caution should be used when generalizing it to other countries.Practical implicationsTo enhance the HEIs productivity performance, the HEI managers should develop strong strategy pillars for the purpose of effective strategy formulation and execution.Social implicationsThis study provides a model showing how to improve the HEIs productivity performance by employing strategy pillars and a PMS. The better the performance of the HEIs, the better the quality of life of society in the era of the knowledge economy.Originality/valueStrategy pillars have rarely been researched. This study is therefore one of the few studies on strategy pillars. This study also provides new elements related to measuring strategy pillars, PMS and OPP in the context of HEIs in Indonesia as an emerging economy.

Purpose With the expansion of internet as a tool for exchanging information, companies include in their websites a virtual space to share information among users. The purpose of this paper is to explore the characteristics of consumers’ reviews (electronic word-of-mouth quantity, credibility and quality) as antecedents of customers’ online repurchase intentions. Specially, it proposes a model where trust on an online seller and perceived usefulness of a website mediate the influence of electronic word-of-mouth (EWOM) characteristics on repurchase intentions. Design/methodology/approach Structural equation modeling was employed on a sample of 252 online customers. An online questionnaire was aimed at internet users who had previously made an online purchase and read online reviews received from the vendor’s website. Findings Results show that only EWOM quality has a positive direct effect on consumers’ repurchase intention while quantity has a negative influence. Perceived usefulness mediates the influence of all EWOM characteristics on online repurchase intention. EWOM credibility and quality also indirectly influence repurchase intentions through trust on the online vendor. Practical implications This paper outlines ways to improve managerial implications by developing mobile applications or websites where the reviews have an appropriate volume and quality of information. Moreover, it suggests general advice to present online reviews in a useful manner to users who visit these websites. Originality/value This study is one of the first to propose an integrative model that studies in depth the three main EWOM characteristics and customer responses for understanding their repurchase behavior.
