This research is motivated by the crucial development of the information technology era in changing learning paradigm from conventional to technology-based learning. The purpose of this study is to develop Edmodo-based blended learning media in learning mathematics for Elementary Teacher Education students. This research is a research and development (R&D) that uses the ADDIE procedures. This study results a valid, effective and practical Edmodo-based blended learning media in learning mathematics for Elementary Teacher Education students. It is implied that Edmodo-based blended learning media can be applied by the lecturers to support learning for Elementary Teacher Education students.

The study of academic engagement has gained international visibility due to various factors operating in the social environment, such as fragmentation, 'liquidity' in interpersonal relations, etc., which end up affecting the persistence rates in studies, or its manifestation in an increasing rate of desertion in higher studies on the part of Argentine students. This research has been carried out within this framework, where 350 students of University and College education, who are enrolled in technical, humanistic-pedagogical and economic studies, completed the Academic Engagement Scale (Daura - Durand, 2018) with the purpose of analyzing, on the one hand, their level of involvement with their studies; and on the other hand, inquiring on the existing connection with demographic variables.

Paradigm shifts in education have, in most cases, been linked to changes in the context and content of education. Most nouveau ideas in education in the 21st century have been linked directly or indirectly to globalization. One of such shifts is the re-invention and importance of lifelong learning. The dialogue on lifelong learning and its content-dependent characteristics have imposed the need for a diversity of perspectives beyond the traditional Western perspective. The purpose of this chapter is to present the theoretical framework for blended learning from the perspective of the holistic indigenous African education, which was in its entirety blended and lifelong. The chapter uses reference to the interconnectedness of lifelong education to all facets of life in traditional Africa. It analyzes the connection between formal, non-formal, and informal, the use of observation, initiation, and apprenticeship, the environment, and a host of other blending variables, to build and develop the arguments.

Integration of information and communication technology with education science produced new concepts such as distributed learning, integrated learning, blended learning, flexible learning, hybrid learning, open learning and online learning. Learning in the process of information society transformation has become one of the most strategic concepts. The world conjuncture for all disciplines focused on learning to learn and lifelong learning culture. The European Union has gathered various programs such as Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius and Grundtvig under the umbrella of LLP (Lifelong Learning Program). In this context, learning to learn and lifelong learning approaches are defined as the 21st century student characteristics. Online courses shown as a way to teach these skills to the students. Starting from this reality in the world's developed countries, the number of online courses offered increases. Online courses can be counted with activating the accreditation systems by both face to face online training and regular educational institutions. In the USA at college education one of the three students takes an online course. In Europe, there is research on online education in order to develop economy based on information. In Europe, some leading institutes in online education area such as EADTU, EUA, QAA, ENQA, OUUK claim that there are problems and issues in online education, and there is necessity of increasing the quality in online education. For this reason, there are studies on online education by the same institutes regarding how to improve the system and to put regulations of standardization. In the current contribution, we summarized the studies on defining the quality standards of online education. Further, we introduced the quality standards definitions by the online education institutes in Europe, and covered related topics.

This chapter describes an experience in teacher training for e-learning in the field of adult education. It takes into account the models offered by flexible lifelong learning as the proper way to develop training for teachers in service, considering the advantages of blended learning for the target audience. The chapter discusses the balance between mere ICT skills and pedagogical competences. In this context the learning design should always allow that the teachers in training integrate in their work ICT solutions that fit to the didactic objectives, renew teaching and learning methodology, facilitate communication, give place to creativity, and allow pupils to learn at their own pace. By doing so, they will be closer to the profile of a tutor online, as a practitioner who successfully takes advantages of the virtual environments for collaborative work and learning communication.

Purpose: The relations between the neighbors Indonesia and have become interesting over the last several decades. Methodology: We have shown the important role of blended learning in the maintenance and development of the subject-subject model of interaction between students and teachers. The implementation of subject-subject interaction was considered on the example of the discipline "General and professional pedagogy", the electronic course of which is presented on the Moodle platform. Result: As the largest religious group in Indonesia, Indonesian Muslims play significant roles in shaping public opinion within society. Since the Bali Bombing 2002, there has been intense attention devoted to Australia and Indonesian Muslim issues. This paper explains how five different Indonesian Muslim websites (Arrahmah.com; hti.com; dakwatuna.com; nu.or.id & republika.co.id) portrayed Australia from 2011 to 2013. Applications: This research can be used for the universities, teachers and education students. Novelty/Originality: The ‘up and down’ tension between the ‘up and down’ tension between these countries, is influenced not only by their governments but also their citizen’s perceptions, about the other country.
