In this letter, we study a scenario based on degenerate unmixing estimation technique (DUET) that separates original signals from mixture of FHSS signals with two antennas. We have shown that the assumptions for separating mixed signals in DUET can be applied to drone based digital signage recognition signals and proposed the DUET-based separation scheme (DBSS) to classify the mixed recognition drone signals by extracting the delay and attenuation components of the mixture signal through the likelihood function and the short-term Fourier transform (STFT). In addition, we propose an iterative algorithm for signal separation with the conventional DUET scheme. Numerical results showed that the proposed algorithm is more separation-efficient compared to baseline schemes. DBSS can separate all signals within about 0.56 seconds when there are fewer than nine signage signals.

In this extended version of this paper, an automatic video diagnosis system for dementia classification is presented. Starting from video recordings of patients and control subjects, performing sit-to-stand test, the designed system is capable of extracting relevant patterns for binary discern patients with dementia from healthy subjects. The original system achieved an accuracy 0.808 by using the rigorous inter-patient separation scheme especially suited for medical purposes. This separation scheme provides the use of some people for training and others, different, people for testing. The implementation of features from the kinematic theory of rapid human movement and its sigma-lognormal model together with classic features increased the overall accuracy of the system to 0.947 F1 score. In addition, multi-class classification was performed with the aim of classifying neurodegenerative disease severities. This work is an original and pioneering work on sit-to-stand video classification for neurodegenerative diseases, its novelties are on phases segmentation, experimental setup and the application of kinematic theory of rapid human movements to sit-to-stand videos for neurodegenerative disease assessment.

Indonesia as an archipelagic country is gifted by God with a geographical location between two continents and also two oceans, making Indonesia's position very strategic. In accordance with UNCLOS 1982, as an archipelagic country, Indonesia has an obligation to provide a shipping route called ALKI (Indonesian Archipelago Sea Channel). ALKI 1 stretches from the Malacca Strait to the Sunda Strait. The Sunda Strait as one of the busy shipping lanes is vulnerable to various forms of threats. To ensure the safety of shipping in the Sunda Strait, the TSS of the Sunda Strait is designated as a shipping lane separating channel. With the determination of the TSS of the Sunda Strait, shipping using the Sunda Strait will be increasingly crowded, this will pose an even greater threat. The purpose of this study was to analyze the strengthening of the marine defense strategy in the Sunda Strait carried out by Lanal Banten by utilizing the TSS of the Sunda Strait. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research using the theory of policy implementation from Van Meter Van Horn and strategy theory from Lykke. The results of the study indicate that the lack of facilities and infrastructure and the absence of a special operation carried out by the Indonesian Navy to secure the Sunda Strait, so that the implementation of strengthening the marine defense strategy in the Sunda Strait has not been optimal. There needs to be support for facilities and infrastructure as well as support for special operations in the Sunda Strait to strengthen the maritime defense strategy in the Sunda Strait and the participation of the people around the Sunda Strait.

A sufficient English communication during the sea voyage is cumpolsory to gain greater safety. Then the students in the maritime education and training must be able to perform this kind of competency before they have the voyage by practicing the communication in the bridge simulator. The aim of this study is to invesitigate the students’ perception during the English communication practice using the Sunda strait traffic separation scheme scenarios. This study used quantiative approach with the questionnaire which distributed to 100 (one hundred) students majoring the Teknologi Rekayasa Pengoperasian Kapal (TROK) in Diploma IV program that the subject is concerning the nautical and ship’s operations. The results showed that the students had positive perceptions on English communication practice in the Sunda strait Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) scenarios.
