This work is part of a project to create a device for monitoring changes in the composition of the air environment. The article describes the main elements of the repeater unit included in the measuring device. The results of modeling the developed band-pass filter, which is part of the waveguide path of the repeater, are presented. Experimental studies of the filter and circulator parameters are also carried out. The technical capabilities of the electronic part of the repeater unit, namely microwave amplifiers and a controlled phase shifter, are described.

The paper considers mathematical models of an amplifier, an unstabilized generator, and an autogenerator which take into account the stability parameters of the active component. The developed library of mathematical models provides automation of simulation modeling of amplifiers and autogenerators by means of a simulator-analyzer in the CAD system.

In radio communication and electronics devices, amplifiers largely determine the dynamic range and sensitivity of the equipment. It is possible to build amplifying structures using controlled current mirrors (CM). The paper considers variants of construction of broadband quasi-linear amplifying structures on CM. Their comparative modeling was carried out with the help of the computer package Micro Cap 11.

The investigation results of the possibility of manufacturing radiation tolerant microwave amplifiers implementing in domestic GaAs D-mode pHEMT 0.5 μm process are presented in this work. The amplifier with an operating frequency range from 0.1 GHz to 3.5 GHz, gain above 15 dB, noise figure below 2.2 dB, output linearity above 17 dBm is designed, produced and measured. The characteristic property of the amplifier is a single positive supply voltage and extended frequency range up to 100 MHz provided by the external capacitor circuit. Transient radiation effects in the amplifier are investigated up to the dose rate value of 4.9·109 a.u./s. The recovery time does not exceed 4 μs according to the experimental results.
