Abstract Defining a scale of k-modes of the quantum fluctuations during inflation through the dynamical horizon crossing condition k = aH we go from the physical t variable to k variable and solve the equations of cosmological first-order perturbations self consistently, with the chaotic α-attractor type potentials. This enables us to study the behaviour of ns , r, nt and N in the k-space. Comparison of our results in the low-k regime with the Planck data puts constraints on the values of the α parameter through microscopic calculations. Recent studies had already put model-dependent constraints on the values of α through the hyperbolic geometry of a Poincaré disk: consistent with both the maximal supergravity model 𝒩 = 8 and the minimal supergravity model 𝒩 = 1, the constraints on the values of α are 1/3, 2/3, 1, 4/3, 5/3, 2, 7/3. The minimal 𝒩 = 1 supersymmetric cosmological models with B-mode targets, derived from these supergravity models, predicted the values of r between 10-2 and 10-3. Both in the E-model and the T-model potentials, we have obtained, in our calculations, the values of r in this range for all the constrained values of α stated above, within 68% CL. Moreover, we have calculated r for some other possible values of α both in low-α limit, using the formula r = 12α/N 2, and in the high-α limit, using the formula r = 4n/N, for n = 2 and 4. With all such values of α, our calculated results match with the Planck-2018 data with 68% or near 95% CL.

Abstract We show that one can uncover a Dine-Seiberg problem for de Sitter critical points in supergravity theories by utilizing the magnetic weak gravity conjecture. We present a large variety of N=2 gauged supergravity models that include vector multiplets and in all cases we find that the weak gravity conjecture threatens de Sitter. A common feature in all such examples is a degenerate mass matrix for the gravitini, which we therefore deem a swampland criterion for de Sitter critical points.

Abstract In this work we present an alternative method to construct diverse non-relativistic Chern-Simons supergravity theories in three spacetime dimensions. To this end, we apply the Lie algebra expansion method based on semigroups to a supersymmetric extension of the Nappi-Witten algebra. Two different families of non-relativistic superalgebras are obtained, corresponding to generalizations of the extended Bargmann superalgebra and extended Newton-Hooke superalgebra, respectively. The expansion method considered here allows to obtain known and new non-relativistic supergravity models in a systematic way. In particular, it immediately provides an invariant tensor for the expanded superalgebra, which is essential to construct the corresponding Chern-Simons supergravity action. We show that the extended Bargmann supergravity and its Maxwellian generalization appear as particular subcases of a generalized extended Bargmann supergravity theory. In addition, we demonstrate that the generalized extended Bargmann and generalized extended Newton-Hooke supergravity families are related through a contraction process.

We perform a detailed analysis of black hole solutions in supergravity models. After a general introduction on black holes in general relativity and supersymmetric theories, we provide a detailed description of ungauged extended supergravities and their dualities. Therefore, we analyze the general form of black hole configurations for these models, their near-horizon behavior and characteristic of the solution. An explicit construction of a black hole solution with its physical implications is given for the STU-model. The second part of this review is dedicated to gauged supergravity theories. We describe a step-by-step gauging procedure involving the embedding tensor formalism to be used to obtain a gauged model starting from an ungauged one. Finally, we analyze general black hole solutions in gauged models, providing an explicit example for the [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] case. A brief review on special geometry is also provided, with explicit results and relations for supersymmetric black hole solutions.
