Shannon's information entropies in position- and momentum-space and their sum $S$ are calculated for various $s$-$p$ and $s$-$d$ shell nuclei using a correlated one-body density matrix depending on the harmonic oscillator size $b_0$ and the short range correlation parameter $y$ which originates from a Jastrow correlation function. It is found that the information entropy sum for a nucleus depends only on the correlation parameter $y$ through the simple relation $S= s_{0A} + s_{1A} y^{-\lambda_{sA}}$, where $s_{0A}$, $s_{1A}$ and $\lambda_{sA}$ depend on the mass number $A$. Finally, we propose a method to determine the correlation parameter from the above property of $S$ as well as the linear dependence of $S$ on the logarithm of the number of nucleons.

The Kriging surrogate model in complex simulation problems uses as few expensive objectives as possible to establish a global or local approximate interpolation. However, due to the inversion of the covariance correlation matrix and the solving of Kriging-related parameters, the Kriging approximation process for high-dimensional problems is time consuming and even impossible to construct. For this reason, a high-dimensional Kriging modeling method through principal component dimension reduction (HDKM-PCDR) is proposed by considering the correlation parameters and the design variables of a Kriging model. It uses PCDR to transform a high-dimensional correlation parameter vector in Kriging into low-dimensional one, which is used to reconstruct a new correlation function. In this way, time consumption of correlation parameter optimization and correlation function matrix construction in the Kriging modeling process is greatly reduced. Compared with the original Kriging method and the high-dimensional Kriging modeling method based on partial least squares, the proposed method can achieve faster modeling efficiency under the premise of meeting certain accuracy requirements.

In this article, we describe the mlcar command, which implements a maximum likelihood method to simultaneously estimate the regression coefficients of a two-regime endogenous switching model and the coefficient measuring the correlation of outcomes between the two regimes. This coefficient, known as the “across-regime” correlation parameter, is generally unidentified in the traditional estimation procedures.

The effect of short range correlations on the Ca and 0 isotopes has been studied by using an isospin dependence of the harmonic oscillator spacing, hω and of the correlation parameter. The analysis indicates that short range correlations as well as the isospin dependence of the parameters are important to explain the behavior of the differences of the MS charge radii and the differences of the charge densities between the Ca and the Ο isotopes.


The research aims at: 1. Identifying the problems facing kindergarten teachers. 2. Identifying the nature of the problems facing kindergarten teachers. To achieve the aim of the research, the researcher prepared a questionnaire to identify the problems that face the teachers of kindergartens. The questionnaire was subjected to the consultation of a group of specialized expertise in the educational and psychological sciences to certify the propriety of the items of the questionnaire and it gained a rate of (80%), and the stability of the scale gained (0.91) and it stands for a correlation parameter with a statistical significance and it was calculated by using Person’s R Correlation. The sample of the research contained (118) teachers of Kindergartens in Baghdad City including its two sides of Al Karkh and Al Rusafah. The research has come up with the result that 20 problems have been spread in kindergartens that the teachers were suffering of. It has been recognized that the first item of the shortage in games and playing tools got a probable means of (2.761) and a percentage weight of (92.033 %) and the last item of having the parental indifference of supporting the essential daily tools and needs of the child in his bag gained a a probable means of (1.8) and a percentage weight of (60 %).

The modeling of electric car charging stations is essential for determining the required number of chargers in order to ensure the required service quality. In this paper we propose a new estimation method for the stochastic modeling of electric car charging stations, based on Markov arrival process (MAP).The input of the proposed model is empirical data for the arrival and service process of electric cars, given as histograms: the number of arriving cars during a fixed time slot (5 minutes in our case) and the histogram of service times (in 5 minutes granularity). The fact that observations on the continuous time process of car charging are available in discrete time steps poses a modeling challenge, which was not considered before. We propose a procedure to fit the observed data with a continuous time MAP of order 2 such that three moments and a correlation parameter of the discrete time observations are matched with three moments and the correlation parameter of the continuous time MAP for the given time interval. We implemented the fitting procedure in MATLAB and verified the obtained model of car charging station against simulation. As the MAP model of the arrival processes is reasonably close to the observations, the obtained MAP/G/c queue allows a more accurate dimensioning of car charging station than the previously applied ones.
