The crystal structure and Mossbauer spectroscopy studies results for BiFeO3 film growth on the MgO(001) single crystal substrate are present in the paper. It been shown that film have high crystal perfection and low defectiveness which results in appearing of narrow lines during the θ-2θ and φ scanning and the small (lower than 0.7°) disorientation of film and substrate crystal axes. It is been revealed that unit cell of BiFeO3/MgO(001) heterostructure possess monoclinic symmetry and deformation of unit cell is negligible. The Mossbauer study shows that magnetic subsystem of film has spatial spin-modulated structure with zero value of anharmonicity parameter (m). This indicate that at room temperature the magnetic anisotropy changes from the "easy axis" type to "easy plane" type.

We have investigated the low-temperature magnetoresistive properties of a thin epitaxial Pd0.92Fe0.08 film at different directions of the current and the applied magnetic field. The obtained experimental results are well described within an assumption of a single-domain magnetic state of the film. In a wide range of the appled field directions, the magnetization reversal proceeds in two steps via the intermediate easy axis. An epitaxial heterostructure of two magnetically separated ferromagnetic layers, Pd0.92Fe0.08/Ag/Pd0.96Fe0.04, was synthesized and studied with the dc magnetometry. Its magnetic configuration diagram has been constructed and the conditions have been determined for a controllable switching between stable parallel, orthogonal, and antiparallel arrangements of magnetic moments of the layers.

Abstract We have investigated the dynamics of magnetization under a current pulse in a φ0 - junction with a direct coupling between the magnetic moment and the superconducting current. The correspondence between the magnetization value at the end of the pulse mz * and the realization of the magnetization reversal along the easy axis of the ferromagnetic is considered. The crucial influence of the ratio w of the ferromagnetic frequency to the characteristic frequency of the Josephson junction on the results of reversal predictions is demonstrated. Effect of w magnitude on the manifestation of periodicity bands in the mz * dependence on the model parameters is shown. There is a critical value of the Gilbert damping, above which the magnetization reversal is not realized. It is shown that at small w the magnitude mz * can be as a criterion of magnetization reversal. I.e., if mz * <0, the magnetization reversal would happen with 100 percent probability. The results can be used in various areas of superconducting spintronics, in particular, to create a memory element based on the Josephson $ {\varphi_0} $ junction

Abstract We study a simple magnetic system composed of periodically modulated magnetic dipoles with an easy axis. Upon adjusting the modulation amplitude alone, chains and two-dimensional stacked chains exhibit a rich magnon spectrum where frequency gaps and magnon speeds are easily manipulable. The blend of anisotropy due to dipolar interactions between magnets and geometrical modulation induces a magnetic phase with fractional Zak number in infinite chains and end states in open one-dimensional systems. In two dimensions it gives rise to topological modes at the edges of stripes. Tuning the amplitude in two-dimensional lattices causes a band touching, which triggers the exchange of the Chern numbers of the volume bands and switches the sign of the thermal conductivity.

AbstractMössbauer measurements on single crystal absorbers at room and at low temperatures were performed. The results are fully consistent with previously published reports by other groups. Spectra of single crystals were simultaneously analyzed including magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole interactions. The analysis shows that there is a small component of magnetic moments perpendicular to the magnetic easy axis. Mössbauer data seem not agree with commonly accepted ferrimagnetic structure of GaFeO3.

We construct an integrable lattice model of classical interacting spins in discrete space-time, representing a discrete-time analogue of the lattice Landau-Lifshitz ferromagnet with uniaxial anisotropy. As an application we use this explicit discrete symplectic integration scheme to compute the spin Drude weight and diffusion constant as functions of anisotropy and chemical potential. We demonstrate qualitatively different behavior in the easy-axis and the easy-plane regimes in the non-magnetized sector. Upon approaching the isotropic point we also find an algebraic divergence of the diffusion constant, signaling a crossover to spin superdiffusion.
