Electron transport processes in oxide superconducting heterostructures with epitaxially grown magnetic thin-film interlayers, in which the interaction of superconducting correlations and magnetic ordering occurs due to superconducting and magnetic proximity effects, have been studied experimentally. Hybrid mesa-heterostructures were prepared from thin-film bottom cuprate superconductor (S), magnetic (M) interlayer made of manganite or an antiferromagnetic cuprate, and the upper electrode made from an ordinary superconductor. When the cuprate antiferromagnetic material was replaced by a ferromagnetic manganite interlayer, the superconducting current was suppressed, although the thin magnetic film was several times thinner, 5 nm, and the temperature was lowered to 0.3 K. At low temperatures dependences of differential resistance vs. voltage for mesa-heterostructures with manganite interlayer featured mini-gap low-energy states.

Abstract We have investigated the dynamics of magnetization under a current pulse in a φ0 - junction with a direct coupling between the magnetic moment and the superconducting current. The correspondence between the magnetization value at the end of the pulse mz * and the realization of the magnetization reversal along the easy axis of the ferromagnetic is considered. The crucial influence of the ratio w of the ferromagnetic frequency to the characteristic frequency of the Josephson junction on the results of reversal predictions is demonstrated. Effect of w magnitude on the manifestation of periodicity bands in the mz * dependence on the model parameters is shown. There is a critical value of the Gilbert damping, above which the magnetization reversal is not realized. It is shown that at small w the magnitude mz * can be as a criterion of magnetization reversal. I.e., if mz * <0, the magnetization reversal would happen with 100 percent probability. The results can be used in various areas of superconducting spintronics, in particular, to create a memory element based on the Josephson $ {\varphi_0} $ junction

Abstract We present a brief review of the basic properties of regular electrically charged black holes and electromagnetic solitons, predicted by analysis of regular solutions to dynamical equations of Nonlinear Electrodynamics minimally coupled to Gravity (NED-GR). The fundamental generic feature of regular NED-GR objects is the de Sitter vacuum interiors and the relation of their masses to spacetime symmetry breaking from the de Sitter group. Regular spinning NED-GR objects have interior de Sitter vacuum disk with the properties of a perfect conductor and ideal diamagnetic. The disk is confined by the ring with the superconducting current which provides the non-dissipative source of the electromagnetic fields and of the intrinsic magnetic momentum.

DC systems are modernly starting to come into the spotlight again due to the carbon-neutral policy, the development of semiconductor devices for power, and the increase in digital loads. We need to prepare in advance solutions to problems that may arise from fault currents due to transients for future DC power grid models. In the case of DC, there is no current zero-point because there is no frequency. Therefore, a large switching surge is generated when the circuit breaker cuts off the fault current. The possibility of insulation breakdown is greater than that of AC in severe cases. We consider power semiconductors or superconducting current limiters as an alternative. However, DC breaking cannot be safely achieved by itself. For reliable DC breaking, mechanical circuit breakers must be used with them. Among the mechanical shut-off methods, we adopted the divergence oscillation method. It has the biggest advantage compared to other methods in that it has a simple structure by composing passive elements and can artificially create zero current. In addition, it can be applied to a power semiconductor and a superconducting current limiter to perform a high-reliability cut-off operation. In this paper, we conducted simulation analysis by configuring the DC power grid and DC cut-off system through the PSCAD/EMTDC program. Results confirmed that the application of the LC divergence oscillation circuit can reduce the cut-off time and reduce the power burden of the mechanical DC circuit breaker (MCB).

Abstract Recently, the chiral superconductivity of the cosmic string in the axion model has gathered attention. The superconductive nature can alter the standard understanding of the cosmology of the axion model. For example, a string loop with a sizable super-conducting current can become a stable configuration, which is called a Vorton. The superconductive nature can also affect the cosmological evolution of the string network. In this paper, we study the stability of the superconducting current in the string. We find the superconductivity is indeed stable for a straight string or infinitely small string core size, even if the carrier particles are unstable in the vacuum. However we also find that the carrier particle decays in a curved string in typical axion models, if the carrier particles are unstable in the vacuum. Accordingly, the lifetime of the Vorton is not far from that of the carrier particle in the vacuum.
