Статья посвящена проблеме повышения эффективности управления реструктуризацией производственных систем (ПС) судостроения в целях поддержания конкурентоспособности предприятий и повышения привлекательности судостроения для инвесторов. Авторами, с использованием метода направленного поиска рационального варианта и кластерной группировки элементов ПС, предложен алгоритм и математическая модель определения экономически перспективных точек ПС судостроения, нуждающихся в инновационных преобразованиях. Научная методология исследования основана на фундаментальных положениях теории графов и комплексном рассмотрении вопросов управления изменениями в хозяйственных системах. Реализация предложенного алгоритма может быть использована для «количественного» решения управленческих задач эффективного развития ПС судостроительного предприятия и повышения его рыночной стоимости. Это создаст предпосылки к эффективному воспроизводству капитала в реальном производстве и хеджированию финансовых рисков, сопутствующих этим процессам в судостроении. This article considers issue of increasing efficiency of restructuring management of production systems (PS) in shipbuilding in order to support competitive ability of yards and to increase appeal of shipbuilding industry for investors. Authors by using method of directed search of rational option and cluster grouping of PS components propose an algorithm and mathematical model for determination of economically perspective components of PS in shipbuilding that need innovative conversion. Scientific methodology of present research is based on fundamental provisions of graph theory and integrated consideration of issues, related to change management in business systems. Implementation of proposed algorithm may be used for quantitative solution of management problems, related to effective development of PS of yard and for increasing market value of the same. This will create background for effective reproduction of capital in real production and hedging of financial risks, related to this process in shipbuilding.

Researchers have yet to examine the association of Holland personality profiles as it relates to special education teachers. In response to this need, we report the personality and vocational profiles (Holland Codes) of 134 special education teachers across a special education training program. The purpose of this paper is to summarize findings from the Self-Directed Search measure commonly used to assess the personality of participants in an occupation and suggest implications for participants’ choice in becoming a special education teacher. Our focus was on personality match with vocational choice to include participants’ demographic (e.g., gender, race/ethnicity, and geographical location) profile. Findings from the study reveal that while special educators’ overall personality profile is congruent with the Holland Codes associated with special education teachers, other features may explain participants’ choice to pursue a career as a special education teacher. Implications for teacher preparation programs and K-12 schools training are recommended based on the research findings.

Abstract A hierarchical configuration procedure in the process of analyzing the functioning of organizational structures using algorithms for solving problems using discrete programming methods is considered in detail in this paper. On the basis of the research, the authors propose a methodology for the combined application of an initial approximation algorithm with certain properties and an algorithm for a recursive procedure for a directed search for the optimal hierarchy, which, in the future, solving the traveling salesman problem in a minimum time much more efficient than using the methods of dynamic programming of branches and boundaries.

Abstract The relevance of the issue of development of efficient motion control systems for highly automated vehicles capable to successfully compete with foreign systems of similar purpose is defined by importance of the issue of creation of competitive high-tech products under modern market economy conditions. The research objective was to scientifically justify the building principles for motion control systems for highly automated vehicles providing directed search for solution options for the issue of multi-criterion optimization in the software and hardware space. The research involved methods of system analysis and modern control theory. The research result is a set or complex of building principles for motion control systems for highly automated vehicles providing minimization of hardware environment while keeping observability of all vehicle state coordinates significant for safe control and their dynamic boundaries, as well as ensuring controllability via the channels of traction, braking and direction. The conceptual core or base of such integrated intelligent control systems is mathematical and programming support (software) of indirect measurements of the parameters of motion and control of traction, brakes and direction adapting to the vehicle state and environment changes.

The global manufacturing model is changing, and the manufacture of precision box parts is developing in the direction of automation and flexibility. Through the application of the information integration management module, integrated device information is collected to develop the system operation plan, which is transferred to the logistics management module and converted into control information executable by the processing module. Finally, the flexible machining of precision box parts is automatically implemented. Through the dynamic scheduling optimization strategy based on filtered directed search, the dynamic scheduling of system processing is completed. The machining target segmentation method based on symmetric differential algorithm is used to accurately extract the contour information of the precision machining target of the box. This process is the working principle of the precision boxlike flexible manufacturing system based on the symmetric differential algorithm designed in this paper. The results show that the system can effectively reduce the number of marks and the maximum completion time of the processing of precision box parts, and its balance ability and processing efficiency are fast.

O estudo das dimensões associadas às escolhas vocacionais dos estudantes na transição para o ensino secundário tem gerado interesse nas áreas da psicologia e da educação. No presente estudo comparamos estudantes de cursos profissionais com estudantes de cursos científico-humanísticos num conjunto de dimensões, nomeadamente o estatuto socioeconómico (ESE), o desempenho escolar prévio, o autoconceito de competência e os interesses profissionais. A amostra foi constituída por 150 estudantes portugueses, com idades entre os 17 e os 28 anos (M = 19.21; DP = 2.55). Os instrumentos utilizados foram um questionário sociodemográfico, a Escala de Autoconceito de Competência e o Self Directed Search. A comparação entre os estudantes do ensino profissional e os dos cursos científico-humanísticos revelou diferenças moderadas entre estes, com os primeiros, em média, a estarem integrados em agregados familiares de ESE mais baixo, a terem mais indicadores de insucesso escolar prévio e resultados médios mais elevados na dimensão resolução de problemas do autoconceito de competência. Os estudantes do ensino profissional revelaram ainda mais interesses profissionais nas dimensões realista, empreendedor e convencional.

This paper studies a search problem in which a consumer is initially aware of only a few products. At every point in time, the consumer then decides between searching among alternatives of which he is already aware and discovering more products. I show that the optimal policy for this search and discovery problem is fully characterized by tractable reservation values. Moreover, I prove that a predetermined index fully specifies the purchase decision of a consumer following the optimal search policy. Finally, a comparison highlights differences to classical random and directed search. This paper was accepted by Dmitri Kuksov, marketing.

Currently, heuristic methods based on iterative changing of feasible solutions set provide a perspective tool for generation equipment maintenance scheduling in power systems. Wherein effectiveness of a heuristic method depends significantly on the initial set of possible schedules or in other words quality of the method initialization. In this case, a widely used methodology of building the initial array of solutions on the basis of pseudorandom uniform generation of control variables seems to be only palliative way to access the problem. This paper proposes alternative initialization procedure drawing on the example of generating units maintenance planning with heuristic differential evolution method. The principle of this method is to get initial set of solutions utilizing normal probability distribution to generate pseudorandom deviations from the suboptimal maintenance schedule which is to be preliminarily formed using directed search method. Following this approach allows to improve probabilistic characteristics of resultant maintenance schedule in particular to decrease median value of an objective function and its coefficient of variation, and to maximize probability to get the combination of units outage moments completely suiting operational constraints.

Purpose. To review the current literature on retinal displacement and provide a discussion of potential risk factors, postoperative outcomes, and future directions. Methods. Two databases, MEDLINE and EMBASE, were mined using a directed search strategy to identify all articles on retinal displacement. Results. We identified 1522 articles. A total of n = 14 articles were retained. We provide an overview on the potential influence of surgical type (n = 4), tamponade agents (n = 5), postoperative posture (n = 6), and preoperative retinal status (n = 5) on incidence of retinal displacement and visual outcomes (n = 8). Discussion. Pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with gas tamponade is associated with displacement rates of up to 72%, typically in a downward direction. Meanwhile, pneumatic retinopexy and PPV with silicone oil may offer similar surgical success with a significantly lower risk of displacement. The impact of heavy liquids such as perfluorocarbon liquid, postoperative positioning and preoperative extent of detachment on displacement remains inconclusive. Patients with displacement had a significantly lower visual acuity and higher rates of distortion than those without displacement. However, not all patients with displacement experienced visual symptoms. Conclusion. Retinal displacement is a new concept in our understanding of retinal detachment. Additional studies are needed to better define its impact on postsurgical outcomes.
