Research on the Interaction of Genetic Algorithm in Assisted Composition

Computer-aided composition is an attempt to use a formalized process to minimize human (or composer) involvement in the creation of music using a computer. Exploring the problem of computer-aided composition can enable us to understand and simulate the thinking mode of composers in the special process of music creation, which is an important application of artificial intelligence in the field of art. Feature extraction on the MIDI files has been introduced in this paper. Based on the genetic algorithm in this paper, a platform of the sampling coding method to optimize the character representation has solved the traditional algorithmic music composition study. Music directly from the pitch and duration can be derived from the characteristics, respectively, in the form of a one-hot encoding independently said. Failure to the rhythm of the characterization of the pitch and duration are problems that lead to the inability of compositional networks to learn musical styles better. Rhythm is the combination of pitch and time values according to certain rules. The rhythm of music affects the overall style of music. By associating the pitch and time value coding, the rhythm style of music can be preserved better so that the composition network can learn the style characteristics of music more easily.

Kajian Psikoanalisis pada Karakter Heroine di Film Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021)

AbstrakFilm Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021) adalah salah satu film yang meraih kesuksesan secara kritik maupun finasial di saat pandemi Covid-19. Film tersebut dianggap sebagai versi yang lebih orisinil daripada film Justice League versi layar lebar yang tayang di tahun 2017, karena merupakan film yang awalnya dikembangkan untuk berkaitan langsung dengan semesta film-film di DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Penelitian ini akan memfokuskan pada karakter superhero perempuan (heroine) yang muncul di film Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021) dengan menggunakan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Tokoh heroine yang akan dikaji adalah Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Mera dan Queen Hippolyta. Psikoanalisis dipilih karena berkaitan dengan kajian mengenai alam bawah sadar manusia seperti emosi, cinta, serta seks yang selalu muncul dalam setiap representasi karakter dalam film. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan serta memaknai secara komprehensif apa saja rumusan konseptual mengenai representasi perempuan dalam karakter heroine di film tersebut menurut konteks teori psikoanalisis. Manfaat penelitian ini diharapkan yaitu memberikan kontribusi pemikiran tentang penerapkan operasional teoretis dari psikoanalisis terhadap obyek penelitian budaya populer seperti karakter heroine dalam film. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yang disebut dengan analisis konten yaitu teknik analisis mendalam terhadap isi suatu informasi dari teks maupun visual. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya keterkaitan representasi perempuan dalam karakter heroine dengan teori psikoanalisis. The film is considered to be a more original version than the 2017 feature film Justice League because Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) is a film that was originally developed to be directly related to the universe of films in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). This study will focus on the female superhero character (heroines) who appears in the film Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) and using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The heroine figures that studied are Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Mera, and Queen Hippolyta. Psychoanalysis was chosen because it relates to the study of the human subconscious like emotions, love, and sex that always appear in every character representation in the film. The purpose of this study is to explain and interpret comprehensively the conceptual formulations, regarding the representation of women in heroine characters in the film Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) according to the context of psychoanalytic theory. The benefit of this research is expected to contribute ideas about applying the theoretical operational of psychoanalysis to popular culture research objects such as heroine characters in films. This study uses a content analysis method, an in-depth analysis technique toward the content of information from text and visuals. Intra-Gender Complicity and the Objectification of Woman in Djebar’s A Sister to Scheherazade

This paper considers the inhuman treatment women mete to fellow women using the character representation in A Sister to Scheherazade. It attempts to establish that women contribute greatly to their own oppression in the society by critically analyzing the actions of women characters in the narration. S. L. Barky's explication on the idea of objectification is employed to explain the relationship between female characters in the primary text and to establish the spur of oppression in the text, and by implication, identify the oppressors; whereas Patricia H. Collins's concept of binary thinking is used to describe the intentions of the identified oppressors. The analysis of the primary text reveals various needs of the major characters and how they attempt to achieve such needs of theirs by giving up the protagonist. It reveals further that the deeds of the major female characters in the primary text are the reasons the protagonist suffers. The paper, therefore, concludes that as in the case of the protagonist in the text, the objectified is not only used as a means to an end but is a victim of collective and intra-gender oppression.

Men and Their Moments: Character-Driven Ethnography and Interaction Analysis in a Park Basketball Rule Dispute

Both conversation-analytic and ethnographic studies of interaction tend to isolate situated conduct from the full biographical context that is meaningful to actors. This article argues that there are good analytic reasons to recover some of that biographical context by incorporating character-driven ethnographic representation within interactionist research. I make this case in reference to a rule dispute captured on video during an ethnography of a public park basketball game. Through a biographically contextualized analysis of players’ situated conduct, I show how character representation allows unspoken threads of actors’ lives to become analytic resources. Incorporating biographical context also opens a methodological path for interactionists to leverage the close-up study of situated encounters for empirical claims about broader forms of social organization. In this case, I argue that character-driven representation allows for an analysis that identifies rule disputes as an interactional mechanism of socially integrative park use.

Strategi Pengelolaan Wakaf Uang oleh Badan Wakaf Indonesia (BWI)

The Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) is a national nazhir which was established with a vision and mission to advance the system of representation in Indonesia. BWI has important responsibilities in empowering waqf assets, including cash waqf. Cash waqf is one of the products of business character representation and can be an alternative to produce other waqf assets. To achieve these objectives, the management sector becomes the main sector to generate profits on a sustainable basis. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) that influence them based on the business model canvas. Data processing and techniques use the Analytic Network Process (ANP) with a SWOT network structure to obtain priority strategies that can be applied. From these results, five alternative strategies were obtained with the highest priority is increasing nazhir professionalism in terms of entrepreneurial waqf management.
