Medical image retrieval (MIR) is a hard task owing to the varied patterns and structures in the medical images. The feature descriptors have been used to describe the images in most MIR approaches. Based on the local relationship, several feature descriptors of neighbouring image pixels have been proposed for MIR so far, but their low performance scores make them unsuitable. In this paper, an efficient optimized hybrid local lifting wavelet co-occurrence texture pattern for content-based MIR is proposed. Initially, image resize and Adaptive histogram equalization technique is used to carried out for contrast enhancement. Then Local Lifting Wavelet Co-occurrence Texture Pattern is derived using Local tetra pattern, Gradient directional pattern, lifting wavelet transform and Gray level co-occurrence matrix. An Equilibrium optimization technique is employed to select the most important features of an image from the obtained feature vectors (FV). Finally, to match the query image with the database images, distance between their FV is computed and the minimum distance images are considered as retrieval outcome. Three benchmark medical databases of various modalities (CT and MRI) are used to test the efficiency of the proposed method: EXACT-09, TCIA-CT, and OASIS. The experimental results prove that the proposed approach outperforms existing descriptors in terms of APR and ARR.

Abstract Batusatam considers as Billitonite, a rare Australian strewnfield tektite. Regrettably, the scientific information of this object slightly, especially about the origin, the process of formation, and its uniqueness in the earth’s geological history. This paper reviewed the physical and chemical properties of unearthing Batusatam in Southeastern Belitung Island, Indonesia. Physical properties are examing based on object shape, surface texture pattern, dimensions, volume, mass, density, and hardness. We also analyzed major and minor elements using portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and compared them with another Australian tektite. Rod and tear-drop-shape, the unique shapes of Batusatam, were discovered. It had a higher FexOy, CaO, MnO proportion. Also, Sn (tin) is present significantly compared to other tektites. This significant uniqueness of Billitonite could clarify its origin, formation process, and role as a geoheritage.

The origami is transforming a flat sheet into some other shapes. It extends the mechanical properties of thin walled shells by introducing a local texture pattern, with surface features at a scale intermediate to the material and its structure. The primary application of local texture in thin-walled shells has been to increase the shell’s bending stiffness, their ability to absorb impact through plastic deformation of the texture pattern and in plane flexibility.

Methods to retrieve images involve retrieving images from the database by using features of it. They are colour, shape, and texture. These features are used to find the similarity for the query image with that of images in the database. The images are sorted in the order with this similarity. The article uses intra- and inter-texture chrominance and its intensity. Here inter-chromatic texture feature is extracted by LOCTP (local oppugnant colored texture pattern). Local binary pattern (LBP) gives the intra-texture information. Histogram of oriented gradient (HoG) is used to get the shape information from the satellite images. The performance analysis is land-cover remote sensing database, NWPU-VHR-10 dataset, and satellite optical land cover database gives better results than the previous works.

Wood is the main material for making guitars, if the wood selected is not suitable, then the guitars produced may not be perfect wood selection is not yet optimal if it only relies on one criterion, there must be a systematic and accurate calculation when selecting wood in order that the guitar produced can be perfect, when the guitar was sold, there would be no more complaints about it, such as inferior sound, fragile body, etc. One of the means to assist calculation is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, which can calculation the value of wood, criteria of wood, and value of each sub-criteria of wood, so that the wood chosen after the calculation would be suitable for marketing. After going through the stages of wood data testing from’fajar musik’, and the calculation also used predetermined criteria, namely sound quality, wood age, wood physique, and wood texture/pattern. Keywords - guitar, wood, selection decision support, simple additive weighting
