In the wake of an unprecedented COVID-19 widespread, there is a massive development in the media and entertainment industry through OTT (Over-the-Top) platforms which offer video streaming directly to viewers via the internet without cable, broadcast, and satellite television supports. During the self-isolation period, OTTs have increased the overall media consumption to a real high and are now gradually becoming mainstream entertainment destination amidst the growing internet users. This mass intrusion has given an opportunity for many independent platforms to grow and run alongside the likes of already established biggies, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The telecom operators chipped in this aspect and are extensively working on optimizing their operations with advertising revenue and bringing in effective content strategies in order to reach out to more people. The present study focuses on this new development by using the technique of quantitative content analysis in order to know the cause of this sudden increase in OTT channels' viewership among millennials during the lockdown period in India and its impact on traditional modes of communication.

Propaganda has important power as a product of modern media (social media, satellite television, the internet). Those means enhance the fast spread of information, news, and events to the public. The thought of a propaganda phenomenon, methodically funded by doctrine, persuades individuals. Propaganda generally involves untrue things that are regarded as aggressive. Essentially, propaganda can be an aware communication act with effective people. For instance, leaders and politicians depend on specific strategies to create many elements of excitement. The obvious example of conversion of people to causing harm to others is the negative propaganda of World War II. As a part of language communication, the study of negative propaganda in visual media is one of the most motivating topics to find out, because of the ability of this matter to manufacture people to understand the insight of propaganda in an altered way. The researcher uses the seventh edition of the (APA) style to introduce this paper. The present study makes a distinctive effort to survey the 'ideological discourse structures' as one of CDA's fundamental concepts .The study goals to analyze and survey the forms and types of propaganda techniques which are employed by the CGTN Chinese and CNN American channels under study. It also goals to investigate the use of illocutionary types in these chosen channels of COVID-19. To achieve the aims of the current study, a proportion of hypotheses are proposed, containing "negative propaganda" that is the main type of content in both the Chinese and American channels within the study. The study covered CGTN and CNN news reports related to the coronavirus. The eclectic model consists of: Van Dijk (2000), Yourman (1939), Shabo (2008), and Ellul (1965). Three of those models (Ellul, Yourman, and Shabo) engaged in propaganda. The rest have certain frames to deal with. Magic Tin Chakar Taroka (Magic Three-Wheeler Star) or Tin Chaka (Three- Wheeler) is a reality competition to find music talent exclusively from the urban poor of Dhaka city. This programme was shown on Bangladeshi satellite television in 2008. The present article is an ethnographic exploration of the Tin Chaka event which demonstrates how the cultural identity of the urban poor in Dhaka has been performed by the production of ordinary celebrities in the visual media. In doing so, a combination of on-screen and off-screen observations were undertaken for a period of six months which was complemented by semiological interpretation of adverts, jingles and other visual materials. In this article, I argue that, despite its admirable inclusivity and thereby remarkably instant acceptance by the audience, the reason behind the discontinuation of Tin Chaka in following years lies in the inscriptions of the show as a charitable undertaking, an act which has often been performed in the reality television programmes in the name of “democratisation”.

This paper aims to determine the functions of hybridizing languages in the television talk show discourses in Bangladesh. Though hybridization of Bangla is harshly criticized in the media discourses for its alleged pollution of Bangla language, this linguistic practice, which seems to be rampant and pervasive in the society, is demonstrated not only as part of their habitual and natural linguistic behaviour but also to accomplish certain discourse functions. Analysing the video-recorded episodes selected from the archives of “Tritiyomatra”, a popular television talk show broadcasted on Channel i, a privately owned satellite television channel in Bangladesh, this study reveals that the speakers are found to use hybrid Bangla in their talk show conversation for a variety of discourse functions such as to establish cohesion in the discourse, to clarify concepts, to give emphasis and focus on the particular notions, to draw glocal attention, and to make the discussion more topic-specific and relevant. Moreover, the speakers are found to perform these discourse functions through the hybridization of languages very strategically and purposively.

Purpose: The motivation behind this investigation is to assess the effect of motivation on employee's productivity with regards to satellite TV station in Bangladesh. Two motivation factors were recognized based on exploratory factor analysis specifically economic factors and organizational factors also. Two dimensions in economic factors, such as, reward, remuneration and another three dimensions, such as, job stability, work condition and occupation training were found in organizational factors accordingly. Employees productivity is also analyzed here the outcome of employees. Design/methodology/approach: Factor investigation was utilized to sum up an enormous number of motivations attributes to recognize the vital elements that sway on employee productivity. Reliability tests based on Cronbach’s alpha and rectified thing complete relationship coefficients was utilized to test the internal consistency of survey responses. ANOVA tests were in this way used to test for differences in respondent's impression of this components as per chose demographics. Conclusively, a multiple regression model investigation was led to look at the connection’s motivation and employee productivity as well. Findings: Result directed that economic factors and organizational factors positively affected employee motivation and afterward it is moved to productivity in like manner. It is likewise discovered that motivation really function as a mediator. The article illustrates the connection between organizational factors that influence on employee’s motivation and productivity in a given organization satellite TV channel in Bangladesh.
