This study aims to determine the relationship between perceptions about the application of occupational safety and health with work attitudes on employees of PT. Beton Perkasa Wicaksana Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative research method, with data collection technique that is random sampling technique. The research subjects were field employees of PT. Beton Perkasa Wicaksana totaling 60 employees. Subjects were given a scale of 113 items, consisting of 51 items on the perception scale about the application of occupational safety and health and 62 items on the work attitude scale. Data were analyzed using product moment correlation and simple regression. By using SPSS 13.0 with the first result is r count (0.458) > r table (0.330) with a significance level of 1%. Both results from simple regression analysis were 0.00 < 0.05. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between perceptions of the application of occupational safety and health with work attitudes with a contribution of 21% of perceptions about the application of occupational safety and health to work attitudes. Based on the results of the study, one suggestion that can be given is for further researchers to include other variables outside of the variables in this study such as motivation and discipline. <p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0875/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>

Career intentions of employees reflect the organizational effectiveness and dynamism within the organization. To address the gap on the measure of career intentions, a questionnaire was developed and psychometrically tested. The items were generated based on the literature and interview with HR Heads and officers from the target organization. The content validity was established through the review of experts. While the internal reliability, construct and convergent validity was assessed using the confirmatory factor analysis. Work-life balance entails to the working arrangements that ensure an employee's personal and professional duties are balanced. Poor work-life balance is a key risk that jeopardizes employee well-being, performance, and organizational effectiveness. Most employees find it difficult to strike a balance between their personal lives and their work obligations. Work-life balance is linked to the stability between the time and effort employees devote to work and also attend personal responsibilities to maintain an overall sense of synchronization in life. State corporations such as Geothermal Development Company are currently operating in an extremely competitive environment. This demand for more responsiveness and efficiency of employees that is brought about by Work-life balance as adopted in private organizations. The main objective of this study was to investigate the influence of work-centred life and employee performance at Geothermal Development Company. The anchor theory of the study was Spill-over Theory that was reinforced by Compensation Theory. The study adopted a descriptive research design. Data was collected using structured questionnaires from the senior management, middle management, and lower-level support staffs of Geothermal Development Company. The target population of the study was 341 and the study’s sample size was 102. The study used stratified random sampling. The researcher conducted a pilot study using 10% of the respondents before the questionnaires were distributed for data collection. Pre-testing and expert opinion were used to examine the instrument's validity. The instrument's dependability was tested using the Cronbach’s alpha reliability test. The qualitative data was analyzed with the aid of SPSS version 26.0. Inferential statistics (correlations and regression analysis) was used by the researcher to show the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Pearson correlation helped in envisaging and defining the relationship between the variables. Data was presented on tables and figures. The study concluded that work-centered life had significant influence on employee performance. The researcher recommends that the management of GDC should enhance their policies on work-centred life by formulation and implementation of modern policies, and this should be cascaded down to departmental level. The ultimate purpose of this moderated mediation study is to get an in-depth cognition of how stress as a mediator influences the relationship between cyberbullying and employees’ productivity in the manufacturing sector in Malaysia. Additionally, this research scrutinised the moderating effect of co-workers’ support in the manufacturing sector between stress and employees’ productivity. The results of this study ascertained that cyberbullying creates tremendous stress, affecting the employees’ productivity. This research confirms that when stress starts manifesting in employees, it significantly affects the relationship between cyberbullying and the productivity of employees. It was also evident that without stress as the mediating variable, the significant association between cyberbullying and the employees’ productivity would not transpire. Subsequently, the moderating factor co-workers’ support illustrated those fellow employees who render their support could significantly buffer the stress experienced at the workplace and heighten the productivity of their colleagues. Overall, this research has offered precious current knowledge on the significant impact of cyberbullying on employees’ productivity and why management and employees should curtail this heinous act. This research has also revealed the crucial roles co-workers play in shielding their fellow workers from the stress that could hamper their productivity. Despite the effort of the Federal Government of Nigeria to enhance the quality of the learning process in Nigerian universities by introducing the use of ICT resources in schools through which lecturers will acquire knowledge and skills that would enable them source the internet and utilize e-learning resources for qualitative teaching, the attainment of the e-learning objectives in National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) appears elusive. The study investigated the utilization of e-learning resources among lecturers in National Open University study centers in South East Nigeria. Three research questions guided the study, while survey design was adopted. The population of the study comprised all the 724 facilitators in National Open University study centers, South East Nigeria. The sample size comprised 84 lecturers obtained through simple random sampling and accidental sampling techniques. Questionnaire was used to collect data. The reliabilities of the clusters in the instrument which were ascertained with Cronbach alpha method were found to be 0.71, 0.80 and 0.77. The data collected were analyzed using mean. The findings of the study revealed that many of the lecturers utilized e-learning resources for instructional delivery, research purposes and evaluation purposes. Based on the findings, it was recommended that University administrators should promote the use of e learning among lecturers by providing technologically enhanced libraries in order to support the use of e learning for the tripartite purposes of instructional delivery, research and evaluation. <p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0580/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>

The study investigated the effect of cognitive crafting on the graduation rate of students in Federal Universities, South East, Nigeria. The study is anchored on Elgar’s Performance Theory of organizations. The survey research method was adopted for the study, making use of structured questionnaire as instruments for data collection. Data were collected from both primary and secondary sources. Hypotheses were tested using the simple linear regression. The study found that cognitive crafting had significant positive effect on the graduation rate of students in Federal Universities, South East, Nigeria (r 0.803; P < 0.05). It was therefore, concluded that cognitive capabilities which promote students’ graduation rate enhances the overall performance of Universities in South East, Nigeria. The study recommended that Universities should be properly funded to encourage the employment and retention of professionals with cognitive capabilities that would enhance students’ graduation rate and overall performance of the Universities. Local government and government agencies therein have an important role in carrying out government functions and regional development. One of the agencies within the Regional Government is the Regional Secretariat of the South Kalimantan Province. Every government agency is required to be able to optimize the performance of its employees, as well as the factors that influence it, namely work motivation, work environment and quality of communication. The research objective was to determine 1) the effect of work motivation on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. 2) the effect of the Work Environment on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. 3) the effect of the Quality of Communication on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. 4) the effect of work motivation, work environment and quality of communication on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. This research method uses a quantitative approach and is carried out on employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. The population of 342 civil servants at the Provincial Regional Secretariat who were taken as samples for research was 184 people with civil servant status at the Provincial Regional Secretariat. The research instrument used a questionnaire. While the data processing techniques used are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test and multiple regression analysis. The statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) 20 for Windows is used to facilitate data processing. The results of this study indicate that (1) There is a partial influence of Work Motivation on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province (2) There is a partial influence of the Work Environment on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province (3) There is a partial influence of the Quality of Communication on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. (4) Work motivation, work environment and quality of communication have a simultaneous effect on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province by 59.4%. The results of this study serve as suggestions and input for leaders at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province, to take policies and strategic steps to further increase employee motivation, create a good work environment, and build better communication quality in order to realize better employee performance in the future. The present research explores the impact of training and innovation on organisational performance. Additionally, this research scrutinises how job satisfaction partially mediates the impact of training and innovation on organisational performance. Therefore, in order to achieve the objective of this research, the survey procedure using single-stage cluster sampling method is used to develop an in-depth profile, which is gathered from 653 out of 800 formal standardised questionnaires sent to employees who are in the managerial or supervisory level and above at 400 hotels in West Malaysia. For this research, only two questionnaires were distributed to the managers of each hotel. This research employed quantitative methods to produce empirical results and shreds of evidence that fulfil the research questions. The literature scrutinised training, innovation, job satisfaction, and organisational performance to fill the gap and to uncover the significance of training programs and innovation on organisational performance with job satisfaction as the mediator. The analysis shows that training and innovation are statistically significant and has a strong relationship with job satisfaction and organisational performance. Conclusively, the hypothesis depicted that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between training and innovation on organisational performance in the hospitality industry. Thus, the findings of this study could aid as an example to other hoteliers in Malaysia to not presume the impact of training and innovativeness on organisational performance. Social demands in our world today and pressures from employees have posed a challenging dilemma among employers. The employers have had to adopt strategies that will meet the needs of the employers in order to make sure that they retain the best talents while at the same time provide a work life balance thus ensuring a win-win situation for all parties. Lack of providing work life balances have led to metal ill health related disease, absenteeism to deal with family issues and finally loss of best talent to the competitors especially when they have favorable work life balance practices. The study therefore sought to establish the influence of family support practices on employee productivity Safaricom limited in Kenya. The study adopted spillover theory. The study adopted a descriptive survey with target population of 4972 employees of Safaricom limited Kenya. A sample size of 370 employees of the target population was considered using stratified sampling method. Quantitative data that resulted from this process was analyzed with help of SPSS version 21 and descriptive statistics such as frequencies, mean, percentages and standard deviation. From the findings, family support services significantly influence employee productivity at r=.598 p<0.005. Additionally, the findings concur with the theoretical foundation of the study that adoption of family support services spills over to the attitude and the motivation of the employees which results to increased productivity. Nigeria’s Maritime sector is a neglected gold mine. It is capable of becoming a key engine of economic growth and sustainable development, if enhancive strategies are implemented for optimum efficiency. Nigeria’s maritime sector performance for 2019, like the global maritime business in the evidently points to the negative. However, factors that led the local maritime downward are different from factors that negatively affected global maritime sector. This paper will assess the technologies advancement; automation and digitalisation of Nigeria maritime sector to ensure it attain global best practices recommended by International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Currently, technological advancement is bringing its transformative advantages to the maritime ports and shipping space. In the industry known for complex issues, large scale, and a need for firm reliability, digital technologies that create new opportunities for better optimization, automation, and profitability. The study will also analyse maritime performance indicators which includes performance measurement, direct shipping connectivity, port improved management and environmental factor. Performance indicators are systematic tools that determine nature and critical issues that confront shipping industry and ports, help evaluate the possible impact of another policy decision. The challenges, prospects and sustainability of maritime sector in Nigeria over the years will be properly reviewed. The maritime future poses numerous challenges, but also erupt numerous opportunities. Global trade is expanding, Ports and shipping as its workhorse are undergoing transformation and facing massive challenges in maintaining competitiveness. Theories, analyses supporting statistical data, and related information from other relevant institutions and agencies, served as the framework of the study.
