The ability to overcome life collisions, the ability to find new, non-standard solutions to problems - these qualities are relevant in the modern world. Changes in society entail changes in the upbringing of schoolchildren, and this is due to the individual, personal and professional qualities of a teacher, such as: organization, increased self-esteem and professional competence, focus on results. The level of development of children's creativity, their readiness to study at school and for life, also depends on the professionalism of teachers. It is the teacher, as a universal specialist, who, when planning and organizing classes in different subjects, is able to identify characteristic subject relationships, determine the necessary means of teaching and development of schoolchildren, and also design identical results of educational activities in several educational areas. Meta-subject approach is a means of achieving a meta-subject result. The main goal of the meta-subject approach in teaching is: the development and qualitative renewal of pedagogical activities, and the improvement of the quality of education.

This chapter suggests several reasons that networks fall short of social impact. First, it defines social impact as distinct from outcomes. Further, it indicates that networks may intentionally focus on results other than social impact. The chapter introduces a typology of social impact. Second, the chapter explores how the complexity of various social issues such as climate change or education typically involves diverse stakeholders who approach the problem differently. Social problems that are simple, obvious, or chaotic usually do not require a network response. In contrast, wicked problems that are complicated or complex benefit from network solutions. Throughout the chapter, various cases illustrate how networks might engage a social challenge and what outcomes may result. It includes a description and templates for root cause analysis.

Institutional intercultural openness is a crucial part of urban inclusion policy towards migrants. In cities with a long history of social and cultural diversity such as Berlin, London or Amsterdam, intercultural openness provides migrants with full or partial participation, initiating activities in the metropolitan space, access to public resources, and social security. In Warsaw, a relatively new inflow of economic migrants from Ukraine, who constitute a large and heterogeneous group, has necessitated changes in municipal cultural and integration policies to facilitate the needs of the new group of recipients. In our article, we focus on results from 91 interviews with Ukrainian students living in Warsaw conducted between 2019 and 2020. We analyse whether, how and why young immigrants from Ukraine use the offer of Warsaw’s cultural institutions; what their expectations are and how their cultural participation is connected with their acculturation and integration. Our research shows that despite the fact that Warsaw tends to build up its culturally open policy for diverse participants, it is not adjusted to the needs of young Ukrainians. As a result, this new diaspora begins to create its own conculture (not to be confused with counterculture). We understand this phenomenon as a set of cultural practices initiated by a minority group of migrants in their new place of residence, which result from the national cultural script of this group. Through these practices, this group cultivates the community, without any connection to the dominant (national) culture of the wider society they belong to or in the space of which its members live. On the one hand, the diversification of a municipal cultural offer allows migrants to find their preferred places and events within Polish culture, although on the other hand, it creates a space for the development of concultural practices that can lead to ghettoisation.

Abstract Objective The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a major upheaval in the lives of older adults and their family/friend caregivers, including those utilizing home care services. In this article, we focus on results from a qualitative component added to a pragmatic randomized controlled trial that focuses on the experiences of our study participants during COVID-19. A total of 29 participants responded to the COVID-19 related questions focused on their health services experiences and preferences from March-June 2020 including 10 home care clients and 19 family/friend caregivers in the provinces of Ontario and Nova Scotia, Canada. Results Many participants were affected drastically by the elimination or reduction of access to services, highlighting the vulnerability of home care clients and their caregivers during COVID-19. This took an emotional toll on home care clients and increased the need for family/friend caregiver support. While many participants expressed reduced desire to utilize residential long-term care homes, some caregivers found that passive remote monitoring technology was particularly useful within the COVID-19 context. Our results provide important insights into the ways the older adults and their caregivers have been affected during the COVID-19 context and how to better support them in the future.
