In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of online learning has increased. Inherently, the stakes of a sustainable approach to the challenges raised by the wide access to the Internet, the use of readymade solutions to meet didactical tasks, and students’ appetite for plagiarism have become higher. These challenges can be sustainably managed via a procedure aimed at constructively converting students’ appetite for plagiarism (SAP conversion) into a skill of critically approaching relevant materials that are available online. The solutions proposed by the specialized literature concerned with the problem of plagiarism can be grouped into five categories: better trained students, more involved teachers, the use of anti-plagiarism software, clear anti-plagiarism policies, and ethical education of the youths. The SAP conversion procedure is a solution targeting increased involvement on behalf of teachers. Its partial application in the case of the disciplines included in the undergraduate educational program of Sociology conducted by the Transylvania University of Brasov, where students’ evaluation is based on essays, has considerably decreased the amount of student plagiarism.

BACKGROUND: The wheelchair is a medical device that provides mobility and postural support, for those who have walking difficulties. At present, there are many types of wheelchairs, which aim to improve the quality of life for people who have lost some motor functions. Each model is designed according to the severity of the trauma and the mobility available to the patient; in other words, in addition to standard type seats, each model is customized according to user needs and the environment to be used in. OBJECTIVE: This article aims at making an important contribution in the development of assistive equipment wheelchair type for disabled people, with the achievement of an adaptable central axis, enabling the change of angle between the wheels and the ground. By help of this change, people who need such devices can use a single seat for both everyday activities and sports activities. The most important problem in the production of medical devices (prostheses, orthotics, assistive equipment), is the need to personalize these devices depending on the exact dimensions of the human subject requiring assistance. METHODS: The qualitative research regarding the opinion of disabled persons took place at the Sports Club VeraFlor Brasov, over a period of 8 months, and at the gym room of Transylvania University, the subjects of the research being athletes in wheelchairs, from the department of handball. RESULTS: The players of the ACSH VeraFlor club participated in the European wheelchair championship in wheelchair in November 2019, where they got sixth place. Based on the results of the questionnaire made at the beginning of the research we found that most wheelchair users who wish to participate in various sports have to purchase several types of such equipment. CONCLUSIONS: Therefore, this paper aims to eliminate the economic barrier, making it possible to use a wheelchair in certain environments - both the everyday and sports facilities. In doing so we have adjusted the central axis, to make it easy to handle even by the user.

Romulus Bucur is a renowned writer and literary critic. He is also faculty member at Transylvania University of Braşov, institution well-known for its courses of creative writing and translation studies. “Glosses” is a nimbly written theoretical book wherein many topics are analyzed. One of the most important is the work of Alexandru Muşina, editor, writer, professor, and mentor of the Group of Braşov (a fertile contingent of writers still holding sway in Romanian literature). The second part of the volume is dedicated to the Romanian translations from the classical and contemporary Chinese culture. Mention must be made about the semiotic approach to all literary works glossed about.

Betty Gail Brown was nineteen years old in 1961. A second-year student at Transylvania University. On the evening of October 26, 1961, she drove to campus to study with friends for an exam. Around midnight, she left the campus, but at some point she returned and parked her car in a driveway near the center of campus. By 3:00 a.m., she was the victim of one of the most sensational killings ever to occur in the Bluegrass. She was found dead in her car, strangled by her own brassiere. Kentuckians from across the state became engrossed in the proceedings, as lead after lead went nowhere. Four years later, the police investigation had stalled. In 1965, a drifter named Alex Arnold confessed to the killing while in jail on other charges in Oregon. Arnold was brought to Lexington and put on trial, where he entered a plea of not guilty. Robert Lawson was a young attorney at a local firm when a senior member asked him to help defend Arnold. In Who Killed Betty Gail Brown?, Lawson meticulously details the police search and Arnold’s trial. Since 1965, new leads have come and gone, and Betty Gail Brown’s murder remains unsolved. A written transcription of the court’s proceedings does not exist, and thus Lawson, drawing upon police and court records, newspaper articles, and his own notes, provides an invaluable record of an important piece of local history about one of Kentucky’s most famous cold cases.
