ABSTRACT Objectives: to discuss the meanings attributed by professionals to the construction of the service network for women in situations of violence. Methods: Convergent Care Research developed with the application of a convergence group with 32 participants from the health, social assistance, or public security sectors, in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul. The data was produced during ten meetings, based on the problematization methodology, and submitted to analysis of thematic content and interpreted with the referential of networks. Results: the construction of the network is an artisanal work carried out by people continuously, permeated by bonds, communication and partnerships between services and knowledge of work processes. Lashings require permanent movement. Final Considerations: building a network implies defining intertwining lines; form nodes that create cross-sector connections. There is a need to institutionalize processes through care continuity protocols, associated with an efficient communication system between sectors.

Starting with L as an enriched cl-premonoid, in this paper, we explore some categorical connections between L-valued topological groups and Kent convergence groups, where it is shown that every L-valued topological group determines a well-known Kent convergence group, and conversely, every Kent convergence group induces an L-valued topological group. Considering an L-valued subgroup of a group, we show that the category of L-valued groups, L-GRP has initial structure. Furthermore, we consider a category L-CLS of L-valued closure spaces, obtaining its relation with L-valued Moore closure, and provide examples in relation to L-valued subgroups that produce Moore collection. Here we look at a category of L-valued closure groups, L-CLGRP proving that it is a topological category. Finally, we obtain a relationship between L-GRP and L-TransTOLGRP, the category of L-transitive tolerance groups besides adding some properties of L-valued closures of L-valued subgroups on L-valued topological groups.

In the realm of the convergence spaces, the generalisation of topological groups is the convergence groups, and the corresponding extension of the Pontryagin duality is the continuous duality. We prove that local quasi-convexity is a necessary condition for a convergence group to be c-reflexive. Further, we prove that every character group of a convergence group is locally quasi-convex.

ABSTRACT Objective: to know the challenges faced during tuberculosis coinfection treatment in people with HIV/AIDS (HIV/TB) in Huambo, Angola. Method: this is a qualitative convergent-care investigation carried out in the antituberculosis dispensary of the sanatorium hospital of Huambo, Angola. It included 18 people co-infected with HIV/TB and 11 health professionals. Data were collected from January to July 2016 through conversation interviews, participatory observation and a convergence group. In data analysis, conventional content analysis of Hsieh and Shannon was used. Results: the data originated two categories: challenges of HIV/TB coinfected people when facing the diseases and treatment adherence, and challenges due to intervening factors upon HIV/TB treatment adherence. Conclusions: people’s conception about living with HIV/TB, associated with the intervening factors upon HIV/TB treatment adherence, results in late search for health services, non-adherence to treatment and worsening of diseases, thus posing as challenges to be overcome for better control of this double epidemic.

ABSTRACT Objective: to reflect on nursing care for women undergoing parturition from the perspective of nursing professionals. Method: this is a study with a qualitative approach based on Convergent Care Research. The participants were 36 nursing professionals, who developed assistance activities for women undergoing parturition in an Obstetric and Gynecological Surgical Center of a University Hospital in southern Brazil. For data collection, the convergence group discussion technique was used, through audio-recorded thematic workshops following the phases of the process called Four Rs (4Rs), from June to August 2017. The data were analyzed using the thematic analysis proposed by Creswell, supported by the Iramuteq software. Results: five classes emerged: weaknesses/limitations in the parturition process; ambience and human resources in the parturition process; imposition of care and lack of privacy for women in the parturition process; process of being born: the understanding of nursing professionals; and contributions in the care process for a better birth. Conclusion: the present study allowed understanding the relationships of the nursing care for women in the process of parturition, identifying the barriers and weaknesses in the care process, reflecting and discussing possibilities for the systematization of nursing care in the parturition process.

Abstract Following previous work of the second author, we establish more properties of groups of circle homeomorphisms which admit invariant laminations. In this paper, we focus on a certain type of such groups, so-called pseudo-fibered groups, and show that many 3-manifold groups are examples of pseudo-fibered groups. We then prove that torsion-free pseudo-fibered groups satisfy a Tits alternative. We conclude by proving that a purely hyperbolic pseudo-fibered group acts on the 2-sphere as a convergence group. This leads to an interesting question if there are examples of pseudo-fibered groups other than 3-manifold groups.

Abstract We introduce a notion of a probabilistic convergence transformation group, and present various natural examples including quotient probabilistic convergence transformation group. In doing so, we construct a probabilistic convergence structure on the group of homeomorphisms and look into a probabilistic convergence group that arises from probabilistic uniform convergence structure on function spaces. Given a probabilistic convergence space, and an arbitrary group, we construct a probabilistic convergence transformation group. Introducing a notion of a probabilistic metric convergence transformation group on a probabilistic metric space, we obtain in a natural way a probabilistic convergence transformation group.

Considering a complete Heyting algebra H, we introduce a notion of stratified H-convergence semigroup. We develop some basic facts on the subject, besides obtaining conditions under which a stratified H-convergence semigroup is a stratified H-convergence group. We supply a variety of natural examples; and show that every stratified H-convergence semigroup with identity is a stratified H-quasiuniform convergence space. We also show that given a commutative cancellative semigroup equipped with a stratified H-quasi-unifom structure satisfying a certain property gives rise to a stratified H-convergence semigroup via a stratified H-quasi-uniform convergence structure.

ABSTRACT Objectives: describe elements that promote satisfaction and dissatisfaction in the work of recyclable solid waste segregators and conduct a nursing action focused on these elements. Method: qualitative research, convergent-care, conducted with members of the cooperative. Data production occurred during 2015 through participation observation, semi-structured interviews, and a convergence group. Analysis comprised the phases Apprehension, Synthesis, Theorization, and Transference. Results: four categories emerged. They showed satisfaction and dissatisfaction related to identification with tasks and work content, material and personal gains obtained from solid waste segregation, prejudice, lack of appreciation, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships. This last item, due to its importance, received a nursing action. Conclusion: the study contributed to the advancement of knowledge and the association of possibilities between the research performance and nursing care for workers.
