Background “Chūnibyō” is a term that represents a distinctive, transient mental state during puberty in Japan, but its characteristics and precise definition have not been standardized. Increased awareness of chūnibyō could lead to a better environment for those who experience it. This study aimed to identify the characteristics of and problems related to chūnibyō using an anonymous questionnaire. Materials and methods An anonymous online questionnaire was conducted in February 2021 in Japan. In total, 314 volunteers completed the anonymous online questionnaire. Respondents were divided into the chūnibyō group (n = 122) and the non-chūnibyō group (n = 192), and the questionnaire responses were compared between the two groups. Furthermore, the responses were compared between the chūnibyō with problems subgroup (n = 82) and the other subgroup (n = 232). The main outcome was the identification of the chūnibyō group based on the responses to the item “I have experienced chūnibyō” or “I have been told that I exhibited chūnibyō”. Results The median age of the chūnibyō group was 31 years old; this group was predominantly male (n = 79, 64.8%) and had a relatively high proportion of respondents with any problems (n = 82, 67.2%). The chūnibyō group had higher proportions of respondents who felt that academic tests did not reflect their true worth (n = 58 (47.5%) vs. n = 66 (35.4%), p = 0.024), who felt uncomfortable in the world (n = 77 (61.1%) vs. n = 67 (34.9%), p<0.001), and who had an imaginary/fantasy friend or boyfriend/girlfriend (n = 39 (32.0%) vs. n = 10 (5.2%), p<0.001). The results were similar between the chūnibyō with problems subgroup and the other subgroup. Eighty respondents (25.4%) had negative impressions of chūnibyō, whereas twenty-one respondents (6.7%) had positive impressions. Conclusions This study is the first to report the characteristics of chūnibyō by collecting the experiences and thoughts of people who experienced chūnibyō.

Abstract Background: Academically talented high school students (ATHSSs), an exceptional cohort, are not well studied for their career expectations, especially for those with medical career expectation (MCE). Nowadays, the public perception of the medical profession is changing in China. The purpose of this study was to answer questions about ‘is medicine attractive for ATHSSs and ‘what factors affect medical career expectations (MCE) for ATHSSs’ in China.Methods: A total of 16,479 representative ATHSSs in senior three completed a questionnaire and four different academic tests. Frequency statistics showed the proportion of ATHSSs with MCE. Unpaired t-tests were performed to find out the differences in demographics, family background, and academic performance between students with and without MCE. The logit models analysis were applied to explore the potential factors that affected the MCE of this exceptional group of students.Results: ATHSSs with MCE accounted for 20.6% (ranking 7/18) of the respondents. They were more likely to be female, came from relatively poorer families, lived in a rural area, and performed significantly worse in all academic tests except for mathematics, compared with those without MCE. In addition, the results revealed that gender (β=-0.436, p<0.01), region of hometown (β=-103, p<0.1), mother’s years of schooling (β=-0.019, p<0.05), and father’s occupational status (β=-0.005, p<0.01) contributed significantly to the MCE of academically talented students. Better performance in mathematics affected the MCE of ATHSSs taking the liberal arts and science tests differently. Conclusions: We found the medical career is becoming unattractive to academically talented students and the medical career may be losing their aura in China. Students who have medical career expectations are likely to be females and to have a weak family background.

AbstrakPendidikan merupakan usaha yang harus dilaksanakan secara teratur dan berencana untuk menyiapkan peserta didik melalui berbagai kegiatan baik berupa bimbingan, pengajaran maupun tes akademik. Kegiatan tes akademik misalnya akan berjalan dengan lancar dan mencapai tujuan dengan maksimal apabila didukung dengan sarana prasarana.Pada Universitas Musirawas, kurangnya teknologi informasi yang digunakan menjadikan semua pengerjaan dilakukan secara tertulis. Dimana dalam proses tes akademik bagi siwa yang baru masuk masih dilakukan dengen cara manual.Universitas Musirawas juga telah menerapkan sebuah tes potensi akademik yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bakat dan kemampuan serta standar lulus tidaknya bagi calon mahasiswa baru.Secara umum sistem tes akademik pada UNMURA sudah memenuhi standar pendidikan, hanya saja masih terdapat beberapa kelemahan dan dalam pengolahannya masih belum terkomputerisasi, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk dapat mengatasi kekurangan-kekurangan tersebut. Kata Kunci    : Sistem Informasi, Tes Potensi Akademik, Website AbstractEducation is a project that must be carried out routinely and integratedly for students through various activities both as guidance, examinations and academic tests. The main objective of this paper is to provide a Blockchain based framework for conducting and evaluating academic tests in a peer-to-peer manner with auto-generation of certificates upon successful completion of the examination. We illustrate how a self-sustained education ecosystem can be developed on top of a blockchain for a fair evaluation without the need of a central trusted entity for obtaining certificates or degrees that prove one's dexterity over a subject. In order to make the test as transparent as possible, we store the hash-digest of every question asked and every question answered, directly on the blockchain. This facilitates the tracing of how exactly a candidate received the score that he/she received, adding more credibility to the obtained certificate.
