There has been very little research done on the topic of eco-friendly HRM practices in the oil and gas business, despite its theoretical importance. By looking at the causes and consequences of green human resource management in Pakistani oil and gas companies, we try to address this knowledge gap. The PLS approach was used to evaluate the data received from 121 managers. It was found that top-level management support and environmental orientation are prerequisites to implementing green human resource management. Second, we discovered that implementing green human resource management increased employee satisfaction with job, organizational commitment, and environmental performance. Because it provides new insights into green human resource management as well as a roadmap for accomplishing sustainable development goals, this study is important both theoretically and practically.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to bring to light the downside of the positive effects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) concerning employee work practices. The focus is on the aspects of excess work ethic (EWE) that are hypothesized as the result of increased organizational identification (OI) due to CSR engagement. This excessive involvement by employees in their work results in neglect of their personal lives. Design/methodology/approach The sample has been taken from employees of various organizational sectors in Pakistan. Structural equation modeling is used to analyze the hypothesized relationships among the variables in the conceptual framework. Findings The findings of the study reveal that CSR perception of employees negates the excessive work ethic but the introduction of a higher level of OI due to work meaningfulness indirectly positively affects EWE with pro-environmental orientation (PEO) as a moderator. Originality/value The relationship between CSR and variables such as work engagement has been explored in the recent literature but the heightened level of OI indulging the employees into overwork is rarely been explored. Also, the use of PEO as a mediator adds to the knowledge on the subject.

The hospitality industry exerts significant pressure on the environment through the consumption of resources such as energy and water. However, the industry can also enhance environmental preservation through their operation and strategy. This study examined whether environmental orientation (internal and external) and green competitive advantage are significantly positively related. This study also investigated the indirect effect of green innovation. A quantitative research method was used for this study. The cross-sectional survey method was used as the method of data collection. This study used Partial Least Square Structural Equation modelling to test the hypotheses. The findings showed that environmental orientation and green competitive advantage are significantly positively related. The indirect effect of green innovation is significant. Theoretically, the study developed a model that linked green innovation to environmental orientation. Practically, the study suggests some recommendations on how the managers of hospitality firms can improve environmental orientation. These include the provision of training and development workshops on environmental strategy for management and employees.

This article examines the role of environmental taxation in mitigating environmental problems and contributing to sustainability in Mexico. It focuses on environmental tax revenues and tax expenditures since the 2014 Public Financial Reform (PFR), according to pro- or anti-environmental orientation. The research carried out combines the study of the regulation of the selected tax instruments, their classification and the empirical analysis of the tax revenues and tax expenditures associated with the different taxes over the periods of validity of the taxes and benefits studied, using the databases of the CIAT and the Mexican SHCP. A critical analysis addresses the weak environmental function of environment-related taxes (IEPS, ISAN…), as well as the late implementation and reduced impact of the carbon and pesticide taxes introduced in 2014. The evolution of tax incentives and expenditure is thoroughly examined by examining both environmental measures, which have evolved positively but within a very reduced level, and the most prevalent tax expenditure measures, with harmful impacts to the environment. Based on the results obtained, long-term structural changes in the Mexican tax system are suggested. As for the short to medium term, profound changes in tax expenditure are proposed to eliminate of those tax benefits harmful to the environment, introduce of tax benefits for circular activities (e.g., repairing, reusing and remanufacturing) and broaden the carbon tax base and rates. The conclusions include recommendations for moving towards a systemic green tax reform that assists the transformation towards a sustainable economy.

Since the promotion of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), some programs have been conducted to increase environmental awareness and concern. To meet the goals, it requires substantial efforts by all stakeholders in society. However, to our knowledge, there is still a limited number of academics whose research is focused on communicating environmental awareness to the public. While organizing communication about SDGs has faced challenges and new concerns, such as skepticism towards sustainability issues, rural and environmental issues seem to be the main agenda of development (Murphy, 2012). Thus, implementing the right communication methods is fundamental to delivering information to navigate the public's environmental orientation (Genç, 2017). Urban waste management in Indonesia still faces many obstacles, especially in terms of landfill existence. Only 60-70% of wastes can be transported and disposed in sanitary landfills (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2018). It creates so much waste, particularly related to food waste, over-packaging, and e-waste, all causing particular problems (Zaman and Lehmann, 2011). Limited natural resources force people to think hard about how to save existing natural resources.Teras Hijau Project (THP) was established out of a growing concern with the situation of the city of Bandung, Indonesia, especially in responding and improving themselves to be more sustainable. It is inspired by the Bio-Economic Initiative of European Union countries, which applies a "Circular Economy" as a basis of Regional Development.
