Abstract Creative tourism can be a platform for many purposes: as you change your objective and the elements in it, you obtain different results. Using creative tourism as a competitive advantage, one can provide clients with a memorable experience whose result is an enthusiastic, engaged promoter. It can be used as a strategy to teach many abilities to people at any age, developing creative capacities as well as notions of history, language, biology, and even teamwork abilities, empathy, and other social skills. A creative tourism strategy can also be used to improve innovation in some places, encouraging people to take part in creative activities throughout the city and providing another perspective about the locale. This study aims to present a way to stimulate social development using creative tourism to transform cultural assets into products in low-income communities. It also discusses how this intervention can generate a business network that supports local development and reflects the socioeconomic progress of the territories through visibility and as a basic dimension of dignity.

Agency is a basic dimension of evaluations of social groups. More agency is assigned to in-groups than to out-groups, and verb intergroup bias (VIB) captures this tendency in language use. Four studies that performed large-scale quantitative analysis of natural language use, which covered more than 200 billion words, 20 countries, and various time spans, support the VIB model. Verbs, which are prototypically associated with actions, serve as agency indicators, and thus generic in-groups are more often described with verbs ( we vs. they). Moreover, VIB is present in specific between-group comparisons: for Americans as an in-group reference and various out-groups (e.g., Mexicans, Russians, and Palestinians), as well as for Americans, Canadians, Britons, and Australians as in-group references and immigrants as a generic out-group. VIB is a useful tool in diagnosing intergroup discourses. Furthermore, VIB attests to the importance of analyzing language’s role in the formation and maintenance of social biases.

Compliant kaleidocycles can be widely used in a variety of applications, including deployable structures, origami structures, and metamorphic robots, due to their unique features of continuous rotatability and multistability. Inspired by origami kaleidocycles, a type of symmetric multistable compliant mechanism with an arbitrary number of units is presented and analyzed in this paper. First, the basic dimension constraints are developed based on mobility analysis using screw theory. Second, the kinematic relationships of the actual rotation angle are obtained. Third, a method to determine the number of stabilities and the position of stable states, including the solution for the parameterized boundaries of stable regions, is developed. Finally, experimental platforms are established, and the validity of the proposed multistable mechanisms is verified.

The distinctive paper is devoted to solution of multipoint boundary problem of plate analysis (Kirchhoff model) based on combined application of finite element method (FEM) and discrete-continual finite element method (DCFEM). As is known the Kirchhoff-Love theory of plates is a two-dimensional mathematical model that is normally used to determine the stresses and deformations in thin plates subjected to forces and moments. The given domain, occupied by considering structure, is embordered by extended one. The field of application of DCFEM comprises fragments of structure (subdomains) with regular (constant or piecewise constant) physical and geometrical parameters in some dimension (“basic” dimension). DCFEM presupposes finite element mesh approximation for non-basic dimension of extended domain while in the basic dimension problem remains continual. FEM is used for approximation of all other subdomains (it is convenient to solve plate bending problems in terms of displacements). Coupled multilevel approximation model for extended domain and resultant multipoint boundary problem are constructed. Brief information about software systems and verification samples are presented as well.

The distinctive paper is devoted to solution of multipoint (particularly, two-point) boundary problem of plate analysis (Kirchhoff model) based on combined application of finite element method (FEM) and discrete-continual finite element method (DCFEM). As is known the Kirchhoff-Love theory of plates is a two-dimensional mathematical model that is normally used to determine the stresses and deformations in thin plates subjected to forces and moments. DCFEM presupposes finite element mesh approximation for non-basic dimension of extended domain while in the basic dimension problem remains continual. FEM is used for approximation of all other subdomains (it is convenient to solve plate bending problems in terms of displacements). Discrete (within FEM) and discrete-continual (within DCFEM) approximation models for subdomains are under consideration.
