The provided air expenses in tunnel are determined with the aerodynamic calculation of train motion pistol effect and after movement effect. It is ascertained, that for the tunnel conditions air expenses that are processed with pistol effect are approximately 2/3 removed towards train motion and 1/3 flows орposite to the free space between train and tunnel strengthening. The last one provokes air turbulence and represents common aerodynamic resistance stand face. Despite this, all galleries of Marabda-Akhalqalaqi train main lines can be aerated on expense of train pistol effect with aroused natural pressure. The use of his pressure could be more effective if every chamber and niche will be equipped with ventilation cavity on the both sides of tunnel. The every cavity section area should be 5.6 m2. The noted measures will shorten aerodynamic resistance a rouse by air flowing in distances and would be more outhunted by calculation of railroad tunnels line of Marabda—Akhalqalaqi.

Abstract Advancement in drilling technology has increased natural gas extraction activities from the Marcellus shale deposit resulting in a shale gas boom in many regions, including West Virginia. This boom has created a significant labor demand shock to local economies experiencing the boom. A number of studies have shown that a shale gas boom directly increases employment and the income of those working in the industry. However, the boom can also have an adverse impact on other sectors through the resource movement effect and intersector labor mobility, pulling workers away from a related sector like forestry. Thus, an econometric model of employment in the forestry sector was developed to investigate the impact of the Marcellus shale gas boom in West Virginia. There is evidence of a labor movement effect with forestry employment negatively affected by the Marcellus shale boom. Specifically, the overall marginal effect of the shale boom on forestry employment is approximately 435 fewer jobs. However, the extent of the decline is slightly moderated by a higher relative wage between gas and forestry, perhaps suggesting diminishing returns and overall slack in the local labor market. Study Implications Although a Marcellus shale gas boom directly increases employment and the income of those working in that industry, it can have an adverse impact on other sectors by pulling workers away from a related sector like forestry. This study showed that employment in the West Virginia forestry sector was negatively affected by the shale gas boom. An important policy issue is how to manage the cyclical nature of shale gas booms and the negative impacts on other industries with long-term growth potential, like the forestry sector. This sector does not suffer through boom-and-bust cycles, making it important for long-term economic stability.

Progressive cavity pumps are used in industry for the circulation of high viscosity fluids, such as crude oil and petroleum products, sewage sludge, oils, salt water, and wastewater. Also known as single screw pumps, these pumps are composed of a single rotor which has the shape of a rounded screw, which moves inside a rubber stator. The stator has an double helical internal surface which, together with the helical surface of the rotor, creates a cavity that moves along the rotor. The movement effect of the cavity inside the stator is the movement of the fluid with a constant flow and high pressure. In this paper, an algorithm for profiling the rollers for generating the helical surface of the pump rotor with progressive cavities is proposed. These rollers are constituted as tools for the plastic deformation of the blank (in case the pump rotor is obtained by volumetric deformation) or for its superficial hardening.

Abstract Aim Tonic tics (TTs) are a part of a clinical picture of Gilles de la Tourette syndrome (GTS) and manifest themselves as sustained and isometric contraction of a muscle group devoid of the movement effect or accompanied by only slight visible motion. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and phenomenology of TTs, and to assess the clinical associations of TTs with tic severity and comorbidities in patients with GTS. Methods We performed a one-time registration study in a cohort of 241 consecutive outpatients with GTS aged 5 to 50 years (188 males, 153 patients under the age of 18 years). All patients were personally interviewed and examined. Results TTs occurred in 85.2% of adults and 63.9% of children and adolescents. Most frequently reported types of TTs were tensing of the abdomen (58.7%), neck (52.7%), and upper limbs (50.3%). Multivariate statistical analysis showed a significant correlation between TTs and the total number of simple tics, total number of complex tics, and age at evaluation. In the group of children and adolescents, an additional significant variable was the duration of GTS. In the group of adults, significant parameters were total number of simple tics, total number of complex tics, peak tic severity ever experienced, premonitory urges, and the presence of dystonic tics. Conclusion TTs belong to the tic spectrum, common and early symptoms of GTS, are associated with overall a greater number of tics which are more severe, and with more comorbidities.

The nomadic technologies of reindeer herders from Yamal Peninsula, in their multidimensional complexity – from the space-time continuity of mobile camps on the open tundra to multi-functionality of material things – enable and facilitate mobility in the extreme environment of the Arctic. The nomadic tradition contains a whole array of concepts (or principles), which, on the one hand, are ultimately practical and, on the other, deserve a theoretical projection. These include: nomadic transformer, mobile module, movement effect, techno-animation, material austerity, space-time continuity, arctic aesthetics. A study of nomadic design implies the usage of new methods of movement recording – MTA (mapping–tracking–acting), including visual data such as UAV mapping, GPS-tracking and 3D-modelling.

In this paper, we investigate the spillover effects of forex and equity markets in USA, Brazil, Italy, Germany, and Canada using daily data. Using AR-dialog BEKR model we tested for the contagion & co-movement effect in equity markets during the post financial crises period of 2010-2018. The estimated dynamic conditional correlations show the strongest contagion effects for the pairs of markets as follows: S&P500-BOVESPA, S&P500-FTSEMIB, S&P500-DAX30 and S&P500-S&PTSX. For institutions, multinational corporations, and active investors, a portfolio consisting of financial assets from the above markets is extremely risky.

In this article we approach SYRIZA's electoral success between 2012 and 2015 as a movement effect. We focus on SYRIZA's features, strategy and message that have been developed on the grounds of its movement activity, as well as on the external political conditions which SYRIZA seems to take advantage of. We argue that the anti-austerity campaign created the necessary preconditions for the electoral and political rise of SYRIZA, namely the emergence of a new political boundary between pro- and anti-Memorandum forces and a subsequent majoritarian socio-political category that could be transformed into a privileged electoral pool for SYRIZA.

Most of the current snake-like robots can only work in a specific environment, or only have a good movement effect in a certain gait. This paper presents a design for a snake-like robot to improve the adaptability of various environments. Each standard module of the snake-like robot has three degrees of freedom: yawing, rolling, and telescoping. The envelope passive wheels are used to enable the robot to move in complex environments such as a narrow passage. We verified some simple movements such as serpentine movement and rectilinear movement and designed a method for recovering from rollover when the robot is in straight state. In addition, two novel gaits, obstacle-aided concertina gait, and obstacle-aided gait through narrow corner, are proposed in this paper. We demonstrated the feasibility for passing the narrow corner by these gaits in experiments.
