This study aims to determine the effect of training variations on the drill method on jump serve in male athletes of the Nusantara Volleyball Club in 2021. The drill method is an exercise that can help improve good movement towards jump serve in volleyball and in practice playing at the repetition time. serve jump movement, which is measured in an assessment of the jump serve movement. This research method is an experiment with a research time of 6 weeks, with training for 3 times a week. The number of samples is by random sampling of 12 athletes. All samples of athletes did the form of training that had been arranged in the training program and did a pre-test before training in the initial week and post-test after the end of training in the last week. Analysis of the hypothesis that is, the effect of variations in drill training methods on jump serve on male athletes of the Nusantara Deli Serdang volleyball club in 2021, obtained t-count 28.32 and t-table 1.796 at a significant level = 0.05 then t-count > t - table. Based on the test criteria, namely HO is rejected and Ha is accepted, this study states that there is a significant effect of variations in training methods on volleyball jumping athletes from the Deli Serdang archipelago in 2021.

The human–robot interface (HRI) based on biological signals can realize the natural interaction between human and robot. It has been widely used in exoskeleton robots recently to help predict the wearer's movement. Surface electromyography (sEMG)-based HRI has mature applications on the exoskeleton. However, the sEMG signals of paraplegic patients' lower limbs are weak, which means that most HRI based on lower limb sEMG signals cannot be applied to the exoskeleton. Few studies have explored the possibility of using upper limb sEMG signals to predict lower limb movement. In addition, most HRIs do not consider the contribution and synergy of sEMG signal channels. This paper proposes a human–exoskeleton interface based on upper limb sEMG signals to predict lower limb movements of paraplegic patients. The interface constructs an channel synergy-based network (MCSNet) to extract the contribution and synergy of different feature channels. An sEMG data acquisition experiment is designed to verify the effectiveness of MCSNet. The experimental results show that our method has a good movement prediction performance in both within-subject and cross-subject situations, reaching an accuracy of 94.51 and 80.75%, respectively. Furthermore, feature visualization and model ablation analysis show that the features extracted by MCSNet are physiologically interpretable.

Abstract Introduction St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a tertiary trauma centre. We receive a high volume of hand referrals from all over the south West London region. Closed hand fractures represent a significant number of our referrals. COVID-19 has put more burden in all health service endangering poor management of these trauma patients. Aim To assess management of close hand trauma patients during COVID pandemic. Methods Retrospective evaluation of closed hand fracture referrals during June, July, and August 2020. Clinical documentations, operative details and follow up visit notes have been reviewed. Results 106 patients have been included. 47 patients treated surgically with 81% of them were in need for metalwork insertion. Most of operations were done within 8 days. Number of hospital visits was variable with a mean of six days for adult and two days for children. Patient who was in need for hand therapy have been seen within the first 8 days of their surgery. At three months follow up, only three cases had infection. Only one case had osteomyelitis and the other two case had infected metalwork. Most of the patents reported good movement in ASSH Total Active Movement of Hand score (TAM) at the end of the three months. Conclusion Despite COVID 19 pandemic our service managed to achieve acceptable results in dealing with these cases. Yet, securing a reasonable number of operating sessions and clinic appointments remains a challenge.

Feminism has been a good movement with the noble aim of freeing the world from the shackles of an evil superiority of men over women. The principal of feminism as a movement was political equality between men and women. In itself, it was a fair and just course such that it was inclusive of men as well, men were also part of the movement with no insults, threats, and hate speech. But in this technological era some impurities have also crept into it. From the third wave of feminism which is also known as GRRRL feminism which turned the offensive names into jokes and somehow normal to be pronounced in public, things became no longer about equality and respect of humanity. As feminism grew, it became less critical and became more sensitive towards emotions and uncritical amassment of followers. To some extent, being critical about feminism is unacceptable because someone becomes quickly accused of being patriarchal and antifeminism. Indeed, patriarchy is a negative and destructive idea perpetrated by those who were suffering from testosteron-epowersyndrome . But, when some thinkers like Valenti, Arndt, and Harrow have identified the syndrome and implemented some medication to it, others inject the other side with similarly fatal ideas. I call those ideas Oestrgoen-powersyndrome because they make their victims think that with collapse of patriarchy, men should be disgraced and be made to feel not existentially necessary. Symptoms of this syndrome start from no more knowing that hating the other sex is wrong and should not be promoted. Writers like Annapuranny and Jansen even perpetrate non progressive talks like “what’s wrong with hating men”, “the world would be better off without men” and many phrases of such destructive nature. But the issue which this paper seeks to address is that there is no philosopher who has critically tackled this matter. In fact, some African philosophers rather reject the whole feminism movement as non-African. Using analytical framework, this research ventures into critical analysis of this issue of feminist extremism coupled with the silence of African philosophers.

In this article, I aim at defining the importance of gesture and movement in acting and actors’ training. In doing so, I will analyze some of the historical perspectives on gestures to get to the latest theories in this field with the hope of answering some seemingly banal but actually vital questions about the role of gesture in acting and performance: what do we mean when we say an actor is also a good mover and how does “good” movement or gestures serve this art? What are the best-known training techniques that used gestures and movement to improve acting? Considered as a body movement most often voluntarily controlled by the actor, the gesture is performed in order to produce a meaning that is not necessarily dependent on the spoken text. The gesture, as we hope to demonstrate, should not only be seen as one of the most important non-verbal tools that an actor disposes of, but also a vehicle to deliver feeling, emotions and meaning.

SummaryThe pattern of human movement is strongly influenced by biomotor conditions, age development will affect the level of biomotor maturity. Forehand smash is one of the techniques that every badminton athlete must master well. To do this stroke well, a good movement pattern is needed, biomotor maturity which in this study is related to the age of the athlete. So that the development of age will cause differences in movement patterns which in this study analyzes the forehand smash movement patterns in badminton based on age. It is known that the most efficient badminton technique for gaining points in badminton is the smash. The smash-hit is more likely to produce a fast shuttle lock rate performed using the forehand smash technique. So that in this study the writer will analyze a technique in badminton, namely the forehand smash technique. These findings contribute to future research on the biomechanical analysis of forehand smash motion in badminton.

Hypopharyngeal liposarcomas are extremely rare. Due to the lack of experience, pathologists and surgeons find it difficult to make a clear diagnosis and provide accurate, timely treatment. A 43-year-old man with a complaint of foreign body sensation in the throat for 6 months and swallowing difficulty for 2 months was admitted to our department. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography of the chest and larynx revealed a lesion with smooth surface in the esophagus, connected by a pedicle to the hypopharyngeal lesion. The same result was found by gastroscopy. Lateral pharyngotomy was performed for tumor removal, and after 3 weeks, the patient showed good movement of bilateral vocal cords, without dysphagia, choking cough, or hoarseness. This is the first case report of hypopharyngeal liposarcoma invading the esophagus. A thorough preoperative evaluation may be required for the proper diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.

Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV) have the ability to operate on their own, perform tasks without human intervention. However, the investment cost is very high, so it is not suitable for countries with cheap workers like Vietnam. Therefore, this article will aim to build a complete AGV model that can move to the given coordinates. Model of AGV is 6-wheeled vehicles driven by 4 engines with the advantage of good movement in soft terrain, subsidence, ruggedness, slope, easy to balance and limit the vibration. Furthermore, we propose a method to improve the quality of the traditional A* algorithm by eliminating unnecessary intermediate points, which is Shortcut Path Reduction (SPR). Experimental results show that the vehicle can perform the bending technique, following straight lines and broken lines. Besides, the SPR not only met the requirements but also reduced the length of the journey.
