Paraclupea seilacheri sp. nov. is described in this paper. This ellimmichthyiform fish from the Albian deposits of the Tlayúa quarry, near Tepexi de Rodríguez, Puebla, central Mexico, shows the diagnostic characters of the superorder Clupeomorpha (the otophysic connection, commissure of the supratemporal sensory canal passing through parietals, and the abdominal scute series), order Ellimmichthyiformes (parietals in contact to each other along the midline of the skull; a beryciform foramen in the anterior ceratohyal; three epurals in the caudal skeleton; and a series of predorsal scutes), and family Paraclupeidae (predorsal scutes with increasing sizes  in anterioposterior order  and  postpelvic abdominal scutes with  a strong ventral spine). Additionally, the characters of this new Mexican fish are distinctive and support the creation of a new species of the genus Paraclupea, these include a diamond shaped body moderately high; 18 predorsal scutes strongly ornamented with radiating ridges; most posterior predorsal scutes are subrectangular, wider than long; the abdominal scutes are spatula-like; the dorsal process of posttemporal bone is hypertrophied; and the second uroneural is short and distally reaches the end of the first uroneural. The present finding introduces the second species of the genus Paraclupea; a significative increase in the geographical distribution of this genus in the Northern Hemisphere, from eastern China to the southern North America; and the third North American Cretaceous paraclupeid after Tycheroichthys dunveganensis and Scutatoclupea applegatei.

The purpose of the research is to assess the primacy effect of the sequence for the manner of presentation and information formation on the audit decisions in revising the belief when the information is presented differently. The primacy effect is the decision by the auditor when the information is provided in sequence and weighting the larger initial information towards the auditor belief. This research used a 2x2x2 experimental design with 116 participants of the Undergraduate accounting majors (S1). The results of the research showed that: 1) the primacy effect on decision-making occurred when information was presented sequential pattern;2) the decision making audit, the primacy effects occurred  in a visual form; 3) there is a primacy effect when the information is presented with a long series order.

Purpose – Many studies have proposed variant fuzzy time series models for uncertain and vague data. The purpose of this paper is to adapt a fuzzy time series combined with genetic algorithm (GA) to forecast tourist arrivals in Taiwan. Design/methodology/approach – Different cases are studied to understand the effect of variation of fuzzy time series order, number of intervals and population size on the fitness function which decreases with increase in fuzzy time series order and number of fuzzy intervals, but do not have marginal effect due to change in population size. Findings – Results based on an example of forecasting Taiwan’s tourism demand was used to verify the efficacy of proposed model and confirmed its superiority to existing models providing solutions for different orders of fuzzy time series, number of intervals and population size with a smaller forecasting error as measured by root mean square error. Originality/value – This study provides a viable forecasting methodology, adapting a fuzzy time series combined with an evolutionary GA. The proposed hybridized framework of fuzzy time series and GA, where GA is used to calibrate fuzzy interval length, is flexible and replicable to many industrial situations.

From the image, it is observed that salt hydration increases the critical pressures for the liquid–VI–VII phase transitions in the Hofmeister series order in terms of electronegativity difference Δη and anion radius R.

A series of queues consists of a number of · /M/1 queues arranged in a series order. Each queue has an infinite waiting room and a single exponential server. The rates of the servers may differ. Initially the system is empty. Customers enter the first queue according to an arbitrary stochastic input process and then pass through the queues in order: a customer leaving the first queue immediately enters the second queue, and so on. We are concerned with the stochastic output process of customer departures from the final queue. We show that the queues are interchangeable, in the sense that the output process has the same distribution for all series arrangements of the queues. The ‘output theorem' for the M/M/1 queue is a corollary of this result.
