Abstract The article elaborates the significance of the cutting feature in different ways, the shape structure and modeling approach of cutting feature are analyzed through examples. The modeling method is summarized: 1) According to the projection relation, the wire frame is separated. According to the projection of view, the positional relation of each plane is analysed, the corresponding plane of the wireframe is determined the shape of the cut is clarified. This is the key to deciding whether the modeling can be completed successfully. 2) By imagining the shape, the position and order are determined. By line-plane analysis and dimensioning, the cutting position and order of the surface are determined, and the shape and structure after cutting are clarified. This is an important basis for rapid modelling. 3)Thinking overall. Repeatedly compare the shape with the views, and comprehensively check to ensure that the feature position of the shape is clear, the shape is accurate, and the structure is complete.

Exclosures are a common method for quantifying the effects of animal pollinators on flowering plant species. However, a lack of standardized designs or clear descriptions of previously implemented exclosure designs decreases replicability in pollination studies and reduces scientific rigor. We summarized previous descriptions of pollination exclosure designs, and developed/tested a novel exclosure design in alpine environments on the Beartooth Plateau in northern Wyoming, USA. This exclosure design consists of a cylindrical internal wire frame, integrated ground stakes, and various mesh materials attached to the exterior. Exclosures on the plateau showed high efficacy in inhibiting insects from pollinating flowering plants, and nearly all of these exclosures remained functional throughout the time they were in place. Our updated exclosure design is effective, inexpensive, easy to produce, and widely applicable across differing ecosystems and experimental design types.

In view of the problem of serious water accumulation and frequent accidents in the coal mine mining area, the distribution range of Yuzhou Shenhuo Kuanfa Mining Coal (hereinafter referred to as Kuanfa Coal Mine) is detected by transient electromagnetic method. The transient electromagnetic emission wire frame is 480m × 480m, frequency is 8Hz, power supply current is 16A. The research conclusion preliminarily determines that the transient electromagnetic and controllable source audio earth electromagnetic method is applicable for the exploration of the mined space area in Yuzhou mining area, and the construction parameters provide a reliable reference for the accurate exploration of the mined space area in Kuanmining area.

AbstractPopulation aging is a global phenomenon, and the elderly population has a higher economic capability today than that in the past. Thus, this population is considered to be a growing consumer group that enjoys both consumer and leisure life. In this study, we developed prototype hat patterns for elderly women that can be used for developing close-fitting hats, helmets, masks, and smart headwear. Three-dimensional (3D) head scan data of elderly women were employed herein, and the data were classified into three groups with common head size and head shape. The target group was selected from a high-frequency group among the classified groups, and a standard head form representing the target group was developed using averaging and wire frame generation techniques. Four hat types were considered, design baselines were developed for each type, and prototype patterns were designed for each hat type using a flattening technique. The suitability of the developed prototype hat patterns was subsequently verified. Our results showed that all four prototype patterns had errors less than 5 mm2 (1.40%). The hat patterning method proposed in this study is expected to improve the wearing comfort of high-value-added products designed for the elderly.

The aim of this study was to review the possibilities of using the various types of membranes currently available and used in the guided bone regeneration procedure. Literary sources were analyzed, including English-language articles from the pubmed and elibrary information portals. For horizontal defects, it is most preferable to use resorbable membranes with various modifications of surgical techniques, while for vertical defects, the use of wire-frame non-reabsorbable membranes is most acceptable.

Heat loss and gain through opaque envelopes of buildings are major factors that affect the overall cooling and heating loads in buildings. The government has enforced regulations to strengthen the thermal transmittance requirement level as a major means of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the building sector. In addition, the thermal bridge is considered to be one of the major factors in heating load of buildings. In this study, truss-form wire frame was developed in order to minimize thermal bridge of steel mullion in exterior insulation system. In the case of thermal transmittance test for specimen of 0.145 W/m2 K as design value, the value of the steel pipe was 0.190 W/m2 K and the value of the truss-form wire frame was 0.150 W/m2 K, respectively. This means the other is much smaller than the one in thermal bridge. For four cases, annual energy performance analysis was calculated using Passive House Planning Package (PHPP)—ideal condition without thermal bridge, steel pipe mullion without insulation in the rear side, steel pipe mullion with insulation in the rear side, and truss-form wire-frame mullion filled with glass wool. As results, the annual heating energy demands were 15.68 kWh/m2, 25.42 kWh/m2, 16.78 kWh/m2, and 16.09 kWh/m2, respectively.
