Abstract The results of numerical simulation of a linearly polarized cylindrical multi-beam antenna with six ports are presented. The frequency dependence of the port coupling coefficient is considered when one antenna port is excited. The characteristics of the antenna directivity in the frequency domain are given.

A technique for the synthesis of two-mirror cylindrical antenna systems for a given amplitude distribution in the aperture has been developed. At the first stage geometrical-optical synthesis is carried out, at the second stage a refined solution is found using the field of the feed on the secondary mirror found by the numerical method of finite element. As an example, a two-mirror cylindrical antenna system with a horn-lens feed and a uniform field distribution in the main mirror aperture has been synthesized. Using full-wave simulation by the finite element method, the analysis of the radiation characteristics of a synthesized two-mirror antenna system is carried out. The scanning characteristics of the antenna system by turning the main mirror are investigated. The efficiency of a cylindrical two-mirror antenna system with a horn-lens waveguide transition in the E-plane and an H- sectorial horn feed reaches 0.95 i.e. is close to the limiting value. When scanning the main lobe of the pattern in an angular sector of 27 degrees due to the rotation of the main mirror gain exceeds 26 dB, and efficiency exceeds 0.8.

The spectral efficiency of three-dimensional (3D) massive MIMO is impaired due to the spatial correlation (SC) between closed-spaced elements of antenna arrays (AAs). This paper investigates the impacts of arbitrary Q-power variations of the Power Cosine distribution for a precise characterization of the SC. This is done by presenting mathematical expressions characterizing the SC of cylindrical antenna array (CAA) regarding Student's -t, Von Mises and Cosine distributions, for the direction of arrival (DoA) of the electromagnetic waves impinging on the receiving antenna. Unlike the Student's -t and Von Mises distribution, our outcome recorded huge mismatch between theoretical and simulation correlation coefficients for arbitrary Q-power values above ten (10) which also reduced the downlink channel capacity. The practical relevance is that even though higher Q-power values are the key parameters for system performance, meticulous selection of arbitrary Q-power values above ten (10) is essential to minimize errors regarding channel modelling.

Design and simulation of antenna with performance operating at bandwidth (4.5-6.5) GHz, with center frequency 5.5 GHz. This antenna constriction from two cylindrical antenna shapes and four cylindrical resonators with include iris to matching impedance, to enhancement sharp edge band and four tuned between coupling sidewall to removed distortions. Improving the frequency selection of the bandwidth requirement antenna is by adjusting the cylinder length of the antenna The proposed antenna is operating ideal filter because the edge of the band rejection is matched the edge of the bandwidth requirement which makes it perform well including broad edges for the band rejection and sharp edges of the bandwidth requirement together with a little insertion between two types and good return loss of the bandwidth requirement. CST software used to investigate and simulated results.
