Sentiment Analysis (SA) is a Natural Language Processing (NLP) and an Information Extraction (IE) task that primarily aims to obtain the writer’s feelings expressed in positive or negative by analyzing a large number of documents. SA is also widely studied in the fields of data mining, web mining, text mining, and information retrieval. The fundamental task in sentiment analysis is to classify the polarity of a given content as Positive, Negative, or Neutral . Although extensive research has been conducted in this area of computational linguistics, most of the research work has been carried out in the context of English language. However, Bengali sentiment expression has varying degree of sentiment labels, which can be plausibly distinct from English language. Therefore, sentiment assessment of Bengali language is undeniably important to be developed and executed properly. In sentiment analysis, the prediction potential of an automatic modeling is completely dependent on the quality of dataset annotation. Bengali sentiment annotation is a challenging task due to diversified structures (syntax) of the language and its different degrees of innate sentiments (i.e., weakly and strongly positive/negative sentiments). Thus, in this article, we propose a novel and precise guideline for the researchers, linguistic experts, and referees to annotate Bengali sentences immaculately with a view to building effective datasets for automatic sentiment prediction efficiently.

Computer-based learning environments serve as a valuable asset to help strengthen teacher preparation and preservice teacher self-regulated learning. One of the most important advantages is the opportunity to collect ambient data unobtrusively as observable indicators of cognitive, affective, metacognitive, and motivational processes that mediate learning and performance. Ambient data refers to teacher interactions with the user interface that include but are not limited to timestamped clickstream data, keystroke and navigation events, as well as document views. We review the claim that computers designed as metacognitive tools can leverage the data to serve not only teachers in attaining the aims of instruction, but also researchers in gaining insights into teacher professional development. In our presentation of this claim, we review the current state of research and development of a network-based tutoring system called nBrowser, designed to support teacher instructional planning and technology integration. Network-based tutors are self-improving systems that continually adjust instructional decision-making based on the collective behaviors of communities of learners. A large part of the artificial intelligence resides in semantic web mining, natural language processing, and network algorithms. We discuss the implications of our findings to advance research into preservice teacher self-regulated learning.

The objective of this paper is to explore the latest trends in sustainable corporate governance with а focus on the purpose of the company. Referring to her previous research projects and publications, the author aims to build on the preceding findings and research results. The objective of the paper is to give an answer to whether company purpose (the new mantra) is a totally new concept within the framework of corporate governance or, in other words, whether the business community has changed completely and whether a new business model has been developed by academia, consultants and business leaders. To answer these questions the author has initiated a literature survey and web mining to get a fresh perspective from the corporate practices in the EU and US economies. Experts’ views and judgement are discussed in order to obtain information about the agenda and priorities of listed Bulgarian companies. The paper is structured as follows: overview of sustainable corporate governance (introduction); survey on the academic views on the purpose of the company (part one); investigation of the business views on the purpose (part two) and the corporate governance agenda – shareholders’ perspective on the purpose studies (part four) and conclusions and suggestions for future research.

Travel Destinations are an inseparable part of human life today. As one of the provinces with a large area, East Java is one of the most visited areas for its tourism. Many people are competing in finding information related to these tourist destinations on the internet, one of which is the Tripadvisor application. Of the many tourist attractions, several tourist attractions have different attractions and experiences each time. Tourists have widely used the Tripadvisor application in determining the location where they will visit on their vacation activities. With various features ranging from reviews and recommendations for sharing photos, TripAdvisor is one of the best applications in the inventory of tourist attractions. Of the many tourist destinations, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate both tourist attractions that have many visitors with tourist attractions that are rarely visited by both local and foreign visitors. This goal, information mining (web mining), was carried out on the TripAdvisor application to obtain information on East Java Province's popular destinations. Crawling results on the TripAdvisor website, obtained various kinds of information such as names of tourist attractions, locations, visitor reviews, photos, and ratings of these tourist attractions. Spatial Analysis, a Tourist Sentiment Analyst on tourist objects, can then be carried out. It can also be developed into the recommendation system for the best tourist attractions in East Java Province

The paper examines the interest of the commercial banks’ stakeholders in Pillar 3 disclosures and their behaviour during the timing of serious market turbulence. The aim is to discover to which extent current banking regulation supports stakeholders’ interest in the information required by regulators to be disclosed. The examined data consists of log files that were pre-processed using web mining techniques and from which were extracted frequent item sets by quarters and evaluated in terms of quantity. The authors have proposed a methodology to evaluate frequent item sets of web parts over a dedicated time. Based on the verification of applied methodology on two commercial banks, the results show that stakeholders’ interest in disclosures is highest in the first quarter at each year and after turbulent times in 2009 their interests decreased. Moreover, the results suggest that stakeholders expressed higher interest than in regulatory required Pillar 3 information in the following group of information: Pillar3 related information, Annual reports, Information on Group. Following our results, the paper contributes to cover the gap in the research by analysing Pillar 3 disclosures and their compliance with regulatory requirements, which also increase the interest of the relevant stakeholders to conduce them as an effective market discipline tool.

PurposeThis research aims to uncover coronavirus disease 2019’s (COVID-19's) impact on shipping and logistics using Internet articles as the source.Design/methodology/approachThis research applies web mining to collect information on COVID-19's impact on shipping and logistics from Internet articles. The information extracted is then analyzed through machine learning algorithms for useful insights.FindingsThe research results indicate that the recovery of the global supply chain in China could potentially drive the global supply chain to return to normalcy. In addition, researchers and policymakers should prioritize two aspects: (1) Ease of cross-border trade and logistics. Digitization of the supply chain and applying breakthrough technologies like blockchain and IoT are needed more than ever before. (2) Supply chain resilience. The high dependency of the global supply chain on China sounds like an alarm of supply chain resilience. It calls for a framework to increase global supply chain resilience that enables quick recovery from disruptions in the long term.Originality/valueDiffering from other studies taking the natural language processing (NLP) approach, this research uses Internet articles as the data source. The findings reveal significant components of COVID-19's impact on shipping and logistics, highlighting crucial agendas for scholars to research.
