Travel Destinations are an inseparable part of human life today. As one of the provinces with a large area, East Java is one of the most visited areas for its tourism. Many people are competing in finding information related to these tourist destinations on the internet, one of which is the Tripadvisor application. Of the many tourist attractions, several tourist attractions have different attractions and experiences each time. Tourists have widely used the Tripadvisor application in determining the location where they will visit on their vacation activities. With various features ranging from reviews and recommendations for sharing photos, TripAdvisor is one of the best applications in the inventory of tourist attractions. Of the many tourist destinations, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate both tourist attractions that have many visitors with tourist attractions that are rarely visited by both local and foreign visitors. This goal, information mining (web mining), was carried out on the TripAdvisor application to obtain information on East Java Province's popular destinations. Crawling results on the TripAdvisor website, obtained various kinds of information such as names of tourist attractions, locations, visitor reviews, photos, and ratings of these tourist attractions. Spatial Analysis, a Tourist Sentiment Analyst on tourist objects, can then be carried out. It can also be developed into the recommendation system for the best tourist attractions in East Java Province

For a house that is in a tourism location, the house not only functions as a residence, but also has a high economic value, which can be rented and combined with other businesses so as to maximize profits. Nevertheless, the customs and traditions of Balinese Culture and local wisdom must still be preserved. Sanur Village is one of the tourist destinations in Bali which is very well known to foreign countries with its traditions and natural beauty. Sanur is a tourist area where most of the local people become tourism operators. The houses where people live are traditional and religious places of activity, as well as being a place of business in tourism or supporting tourism facilities. For example, it is used for homestays including supporting facilities, such as restaurants, spas, loundries, bicycles or motorbike rental, and also cooperation as promotion agents for other tourist attractions. For this reason, a planned arrangement is needed in the form of a master plan from the area of the resident's house so that it remains private to be occupied with the family, that is, as a place to live as well as a place to perform traditional ceremonies /events, and also to have privacy for guests who stay overnight. Sanur Homestay is one of the many homestays in Sanur that is owned and managed by the local community. With a fairly large area of land like most house land in the village, the arrangement of the building is still not optimal, where the owner's activity and circulation still mingle with the guests' activities and circulation. Likewise for the standard of accommodation facilities it still needs to be added to maximize services. Planning is done by collecting site and existing buildings data, then grouping which buildings are permanent and which ones are suitable for renovation. Then designed new facilities in the form of buildings for homestays, restaurants, spas, front offices, service areas, and site management in the form of swimming pools and open spaces. The design is carried out with the concept of applying the principles of Traditional Balinese Architecture, namely the application of the Nawa Sanga concept on site zoning and the application of the Tri Angga concept to the appearance figure of the building, which is combined with Modern Tropical Architecture.

Decision Supports Systems (DSS) are computer-based information systems designed to help managers to select one of the many alternative solutions to a problem. A DSS is an interactive computer based information system with an organized collection of models, people, procedures, software, databases, telecommunication, and devices, which helps decision makers to solve unstructured or semi-structured business problems. Web mining is the application of data mining techniques to discover patterns from the World Wide Web. Web mining can be divided into three different types – Web usage mining, Web content mining and Web structure mining. Recommender systems (RS) aim to capture the user behavior by suggesting/recommending users with relevant items or services that they find interesting in. Recommender systems have gained prominence in the field of information technology, e-commerce, etc., by inferring personalized recommendations by effectively pruning from a universal set of choices that directed users to identify content of interest.

Understanding the web user browsing behaviour in order to adapt a web site to the needs of a particular user represents a key issue for many commercial companies that do their business over the Internet. This paper presents the implementation of a Knowledge Base (KB) for building web-based computerized recommender systems. The Knowledge Base consists of a Pattern Repository that contains patterns extracted from web logs and web pages, by applying various web mining tools, and a Rule Repository containing rules that describe the use of discovered patterns for building navigation or web site modification recommendations. The paper also focuses on testing the effectiveness of the proposed online and offline recommendations. An ample real-world experiment is carried out on a web site of a bank.

Abstract. In recent years, the development of the Internet plays a significant role in human's daily activities. One of the most important effects of the Internet is the change in the process of shopping. The advent of online shopping leads to establish a new channel for customers to obtain information about their desired goods and demands. Although many customers collect information from online channel, they also wish to try and search for their required goods at the stores. Besides, discovering this data leads to a new source for spatial analysis to find the users’ interests. Therefore, we can consider this data as a contextual information source for spatial analysis or primary source for recommending points of interest (POIs). In this research, our aim is to discover a relation among the users' internet searches and the goods at the stores to recommend the best store to the users. Euclidean distance is used to calculate the similarity between users' searches and the available goods at the stores. The proposed method has been implemented in the city of Tehran, capital of Iran. The results show that the users’ internet search behavior plays an essential role in the recommendation system which provides stores to the users based on the similarity among the users’ internet searches and the available goods at the stores.

Purpose Data mining along with its varied technologies like numerical mining, textual mining, multimedia mining, web mining, sentiment analysis and big data mining proves itself as an emerging field and manifests itself in the form of different techniques such as information mining; big data mining; big data mining and Internet of Things (IoT); and educational data mining. This paper aims to discuss how these technologies and techniques are used to derive information and, eventually, knowledge from data. Design/methodology/approach An extensive review of literature on data mining and its allied techniques was carried to ascertain the emerging procedures and techniques in the domain of data mining. Clarivate Analytic’s Web of Science and Sciverse Scopus were explored to discover the extent of literature published on Data Mining and its varied facets. Literature was searched against various keywords such as data mining; information mining; big data; big data and IoT; and educational data mining. Further, the works citing the literature on data mining were also explored to visualize a broad gamut of emerging techniques about this growing field. Findings The study validates that knowledge discovery in databases has rendered data mining as an emerging field; the data present in these databases paves the way for data mining techniques and analytics. This paper provides a unique view about the usage of data, and logical patterns derived from it, how new procedures, algorithms and mining techniques are being continuously upgraded for their multipurpose use for the betterment of human life and experiences. Practical implications The paper highlights different aspects of data mining, its different technological approaches, and how these emerging data technologies are used to derive logical insights from data and make data more meaningful.
