The initiatives of large-scale reforms of the European Union to accelerate European integration and to achieve “European sovereignty” were one of the main topics of the presidential program of E. Macron. For the first time in the political history of the Fifth Republic, the future head of state synchronized the implementation of internal reforms in France with an ambitious “European project”. The article analyzes the progress of the implementation of the European program of Macron and examines the reasons which have not allowed to achieve the implementation of the plans. The author summarizes the preliminary results of the European policy of Paris, holding that the French leader's European initiatives were unrealistic since they did not sufficiently take into account the current complex realities and contradictions of the European Union, as well as the past negative experience of France in promoting the idea of creating a “Europe-Power”. A forecast is made about a possible new version of Macron's “E

Problem statement. One of the most popular dance forms of the past centuries was exquisite, soft and smooth waltz which can be called a bright phenomenon of the world choreographic art. However, the scientific and theoretical part of this choreographic art remains quite unstudied. The purpose of the article is to reveal the sources of formation and evolution of various kinds of waltz in the European program of ballroom dance. The methodology. The methods used in this article are the following: 1) historical methods that allow to place the chosen work into the perspective of ballroom choreography development; 2) classifications and systematizations that allow to conduct the analysis of how various kinds of waltz formed; 3) stylistic methods used for studying the given form of ballroom dance in the context of the choreographic art. The results. The history of waltz formation goes back to those times when dance was not just a great art but also a part of the compulsory program of high life education. Waltz received an immense impulse around 1830 owing to two outstanding composers — Franz Lanner and Johann Strauss. In the modern period of ballroom dance development there are plenty of waltz forms: slow waltz, Viennese waltz, figured waltz, boston, classical waltz and tango-waltz. The modern European program (Standard) of ballroom dance includes two waltzes: slow and Viennese. Slow waltz opens the program for both adults and professionals, this waltz is a sort of visiting card of a couple in ballroom choreography. From the first movements of a couple one can understand the level of their mastery which includes: rhythmicity, musicality, skills of couple holds and constant moving around the floor while performing complex techniques. In Viennese waltz fast pace is added, which requires good physical training from the performers. Despite the essential changes in the structure of waltz vocabulary, nowadays this ballroom dance is positioned as a developed form that functions according to the general form-creating laws of ballroom choreography: the variability of the dancing performance technique, the compositional structure of the pattern, the specific characteristics of the choreographic vocabulary, the peculiarity of the musical structure. Given the development of modern ballroom choreography, waltz is the most spectacular dance of the choreographic art and the integral part of the development of society culture.

Campylobacter (C.) spp. from poultry is the main source of foodborne human campylobacteriosis, but diseased pets and cattle shedding Campylobacter spp. may contribute sporadically as a source of human infection. As fluoroquinolones are one of the drugs of choice for the treatment of severe human campylobacteriosis, the resistance rates of C. jejuni and C. coli from poultry against antibiotics, including fluoroquinolones, are monitored within the European program on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in livestock. However, much less is published on the AMR rates of C.jejuni and C. coli from pets and cattle. Therefore, C. jejuni and C. coli isolated from diseased animals were tested phenotypically for AMR, and associated AMR genes or mutations were identified by whole genome sequencing. High rates of resistance to (fluoro)quinolones (41%) and tetracyclines (61.1%) were found in C. jejuni (n = 29/66). (Fluoro)quinolone resistance was associated with the known point mutation in the quinolone resistance-determining region (QRDR) of gyrA, and tetracycline resistance was mostly caused by the tet(O) gene. These high rates of resistance, especially to critically important antibiotics in C. jejuni and C. coli, are worrisome not only in veterinary medicine. Efforts to preserve the efficacy of important antimicrobial treatment options in human and veterinary medicine have to be strengthened in the future.

The report presents a teaching methodology for primary school how to use Cuisenaire Rods to teach English. First Primary School „St. Cyril and St. Methodius” successfully works under the European program „Erasmus”. In 2017, I participated in the training course at the Executive Training Institute in Malta by the Erasmus program on the topic „Language learning, entertainment and games – a methodology for primary school.” This report introduces some ideas and techniques of teaching English with Cuisenaire Rods, after my education. They are small wooden cubes of different lengths and colors. They are used as a resource in the classroom to visually present different areas of the language. Cuisenaire Rods are an important tool for promoting handson learning. Provokes in children energy, vitality during the lesson. Creates a feeling of joy. Most importantly, it makes them feel confident in their knowledge and ability to use the language. This practical teaching method also provoke the teacher’s imagination to put children close to reality situations, turning the lesson into a game.

eTwinning is an innovative European program that strengthens lifelong learning and the main purpose of which is the networking of schools with the help of new technologies. It is an initiative of the European Commission to strengthen the collaborative distance learning and the implementation of new innovative instructional methods. Through literature review, this article explores the contribution of the eTwinning project to the cultivation of basic skills, which the European Parliament identifies as keys to an individual's lifelong learning. Mathematics are included in these skills. It is an attempt to show the schools' potential to cultivate the students' European identity and European skills, such as cooperation and respect for the perceptions and culture of other people. It is also a case study aimed at exploring the cognitive, creative, cooperative and technological dimensions of an eTwinning action, as well as the attitude of 18 students towards the distance learning action, which they participated in. Τhe subject of the eTwinning practice combines mathematical concepts applied in real context.
