Abstract The Family Caregiver Course (FCC) is an 18-week Validation training to sensitize family carers to the psycho-social needs of their relatives, integrate new behaviors that build relationships and specific verbal and non-verbal techniques to increase communication. Validation Training Institute partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado in 2019 and 2020 in delivering this course. Due to COVID-19 limitations, the 2020 iteration was completely digital, using principles of online learning. To replace the two-day in-person component of this course, we developed four, 4-hour Zoom sessions that allowed participants to: practice specific Validation techniques, exercise, process and apply what was learned, role play and receive coaching to anchor skills. Important online rules were maintained, such as, offer opportunities for participant engagement every 10 minutes and create a community of inquiry. Pre- and Post-Surveys of the 2019 and 2020 iterations of FCC showed that after taking this course, family carers: reported that they knew what to do when faced with challenging behaviors from their relative; understood that lying or pretending to agree with a disoriented person was not an effective strategy for communication; gained knowledge of the different forms of dementia and that the differences are significant; were clear about the differences between Validation and other methods.

Many PTIs have to strive in maintaining their operation during the pandemic with limitations of movements and changes in teaching approaches. The data was collected by using a set of questionnaires that was distributed online through WhatsApp (using a GoogleForm link) to all of the respected respondents that consist of training participants. The data was analysed by using Pierson Correlation Coefficient. The study discovered that all the factors (Improvement in Knowledge and Skills, Content of Courses, Training Approaches, and The Performance of Facilitators) have a strong association with the effectiveness of the training program during the pandemic. Thus, all factors have given effect to the level of effectiveness of the training program in all PTIs across the Eastern Region of Malaysia amidst the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sericulture in Karnataka is in the process of modernization in many phases through new demand driven extension approach called Technical Service Centres (TSCs) located at the grass-root level (Hobli and Taluka level). These centres mainly involved in the dissemination of the technologies developed by the Research Institutes and also in supply of mulberry cuttings/saplings, monitoring mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing and providing   information about loan facilities and subsidy schemes. There is a need to study the attitude of sericulture beneficiary farmers towards activities of TSCs. The study was conducted during 2018-20 in the Karnataka state of India. The Karnataka state was contributing 35.00 per cent of silk production in India. An ex-post facto research design was used or the study. An attitude was measured by Likert scale construction. The Ramanagara and Mandya districts were selected because these district having highest number of TSCs in Bangalore and Mysore division respectively. Mandya, Malavalli and K.R Pet taluks from Mandya district on the other hand Ramanagara, Channapatna and Kanakapura taluks from Ramanagara district were purposively selected for the study. Above taluks were selected based on top 3 taluks in TSCs in district. The four TSCs from each taluk leads to twelve from each district, Totally, 24 TSCs were selected for the study. Ten sericulture farmers under each TSC, collectively 240, were selected by using random sampling method. The study revealed that just little more than half (50.42%) of the sericulture farmers had medium favourable attitude towards activities of TSCs followed by high favourable attitude (35.00%) and only 14.58 per cent of the sericulture farmers had low favourable attitude. The probable reason might be majority of the sericulture farmers participated in trainings at Sericulture Training Institute at K.R Pet of Mandya District and Channapatna of Ramanagara district and also they were undergone for study tour to Kolar district. An increasing number of studies have shown that safety culture factors have a substantial influence on safety performance in a variety of industrial sectors. These factors' impact on safety performance is unclear, especially at the public service and statutory authorities. On the other hand, the understanding of indicators for safety performance in every working sector in Malaysia is on the continuing progress. Hence, this study's contribution is to explore the influence of safety culture factors (i.e., management commitment and supervision in safety, safety system) and safety competence on safety performance in government paramedic training institutes. IPMA (importance-performance map analysis) is a technique used in Smart PLS to determine the significance and performance of each of these factors. The study was conducted via an online survey and involved 258 safety and health committee members in Ministry of Health paramedic training institute. As a matter of relevance, the IPMA's empirical data study revealed that management commitment and supervision in safety were the predominant factors in determining safety performance. Meanwhile, for performance, the findings showed that worker involvement, safety system, and safety competence perform well in determining the safety performance.
