Purpose. Development of the concept of an intelligent control system for implementation in the scheme of pedestrian crossing lighting and design of a street lamp to reduces electricity costs and increases the service life of street lights, using technical devices such as dimmers and special motion sensors.Method. The research methods of theoretical analysis, modeling of appearance and creation of the scheme of intellectual control complex, basic provisions on lighting of pedestrian crossings and design of street lighting, analysis of possibilities of motion sensors and dimming at use in lighting are used.Results. Technologies of application of dimers and various motion sensors in lighting are analyzed and modern technological advantages of their use are allocated. Having identified a problem in the payment for electricity for street lighting for many local budgets, an intelligent control system for pedestrian crossing lighting was developed. The system allows obtaining of significant economic effect, reducing electricity consumption by a maximum of 70%. This saving is achieved by using dimming lamps and special narrow motion sensors, which have a viewing angle of 6 ° horizontally. At rest, the system keeps the lamp power at 50% until the person falls within the range of the sensor and the illumination rises to 100% for the set time. Specially selected sensors and their correct placement allow the system to work only when a person approaches a pedestrian crossing, and to remove accidental unpredictable inclusions. After analyzing the modern street lighting market, the design of a street lamp was created and proposed.Scientific novelty. It is proposed to use an intelligent control system in the lighting of pedestrian crossings, because now it is widely used only as part of the complex "smart home". Application in the scheme of lighting of pedestrian crossings of dimming and special narrowly directed motion sensors with a viewing angle of 6° horizontally that will allow to exclude accidental operation, both from people and cars, and from dogs and cats. A new design of the road lamp has been developed, based on the analyzed provisions on the correct lighting of pedestrian crossings.Practical significance. Lighting of pedestrian crossings is currently a problem in our country, because there are many accidents, and for good lighting you need to spend a lot of money on electricity from local budgets. This intelligent pedestrian crossing lighting control system is specially designed so that the use of electricity can be reduced by 70% and the service life of lamps can be significantly increased, for example by 1.5 times, but a more accurate value can be obtained only after the introduction of the first experimental sample. The use of such a system is possible throughout Ukraine at each crossing, unlike many other projects for lighting road crossings.

This pilot study is a contribution to the theoretical debate on the impact language has on general cognition. More specifically, we applied a Word Sketch collocator (an innovative NLP tool operating on large-scale corpora) to collect human adjective collocations of masculine, feminine, and neuter inanimate nouns in German, Dutch, and English to see whether there is a correlation between the grammatical genders of inanimate nouns and the adjective collocations most frequently used to describe those nouns. Later, in a series of online questionnaires, we examined the impact of grammatical gender and stereotypical gender associations on the perception of inanimate nouns (e.g., street, lamp, bottle) by testing the gender associations of their human adjective collocations obtained from the Word Sketch collocator in German (a grammatical gender language), Dutch (a language with a combination of grammatical gender and natural gender), and English (a natural gender language). In German, the results show that grammatical gender alone is not a decisive factor in causing masculine or feminine gender associations of inanimate nouns. Rather, it is the combination of grammatical gender and stereotypical gender associations of nouns that plays a role. In English, nouns associated with neutral, masculine and even feminine gender had significantly more neutral adjectival associations. In Dutch, nouns with common and neuter gender resulted in a higher proportion of masculine adjectival associations because these nouns are mostly referred to with common and masculine pronouns. We observed a special role played by stereotypical feminine associations of nouns in German, Dutch, and English.

Public street lighting must comply with the Indonesian national standard (SNI) regarding specifications for street lighting in urban areas, and general requirements for electrical installations (PUIL) 2011. This aims to provide security, smoothness, and comfort for road users. The main requirement is to meet the lighting standards of this type of lamp. Planning electrical installations for street lamp lighting must have five criteria in order to produce quality and comfort in street lamp lighting, one aspect that is seen is based on lighting. Iskandar Muda University has four main roads that do not yet have street lights. The condition will certainly have a negative impact on universities, students and the surrounding community when carrying out activities. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the planning of street lighting in the campus environment so as to produce optimal lighting quality. The optimal value is seen based on the suitability of lighting, pole height and the type of lamp to be used against applicable standards. The calculation results show that the use of the optimal number of lamps on roads in the area is 21 units with the type of lamp used is SOX 135 watts. The intensity obtained at that location is 11.5 lux to 14.4 lux.

The massive deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) is allowing Smart City projects and initiatives all over the world. Whereas IOT deals with intricate systems that integrates multiple disperse components towards their synergetic use. Due to resource constraints, there will be a problem in the future to provide all the services to the residents. To continue to serve and improve the standard of living of the growing population, it is necessary to develop smart cities. The Smart City aims to make optimal and sustainable use of all resources, while maintaining an appropriate balance between social, environmental and economic costs. The wireless sensors are attached to street lamp, water tank, dustbin. Sensors are then attached to Arduino microcontroller board where each and every necessary parameter for city are monitored and updated to cloud. The cloud is connected with Blynk server in turn which is connected to build in Blynk application of user's Android phone. The technology we use is IOT in this model a system of interconnected smart modules is developed where each and every parameter necessary for a city is monitored and updated to the cloud. Emphasis is given on how sensing and communication technologies of IOT can effectively be used in smart city monitoring. The project aims at developing a system which facilitates aids in collection of data with the help of interconnected modules consisting of multiple sensors useful for smart city monitoring. Further this project also includes controlling of some parameters like water, light and dust bin.
