Due to the sparsity deployment of nodes, the full connection requirement, and the unpredictable electromagnetic interference on communication caused by high voltage pulse current of Solar Insecticidal Lamps Internet of Things (SIL-IoTs), a Two-Hop Energy Consumption Balanced routing algorithm (THECB) is proposed in this research work. THECB selects next-hop nodes according to 1-hop and 2-hop neighbors’ information. In addition, the greedy forwarding mechanism is expressed in the form of probability; that is, each neighbor node is given a weight between 0 and 1 according to the distance. THECB reduces the data forwarding traffic of nodes whose discharge numbers are relatively higher than those of other nodes so that the unpredictable electromagnetic interference on communication can be weakened. We compare the energy consumption, energy consumption balance, and data forwarding traffic over various discharge numbers, network densities, and transmission radius. The results indicate that THECB achieves better performance than Two-Phase Geographic Greedy Forwarding plus (TPGFPlus), which ignores the requirement of the node-disjoint path.

A method of adjusting the generating lines of a high-voltage pulse modulator with a thyristor switch at a charg-ing voltage of 150 V is given. The degree of pre-distortion is determined to obtain in the operating mode (60 kV) a voltage pulse with the required non-uniformity at the optimal value of the degaussing current of the trans-former. An element of fine tuning of forming lines at operating voltage is developed and applied.

Abstract The paper describes a practical method for real-time measurement of active power in a dielectric barrier discharge by calculating a Lissajous figures based on the Manley formula. Such a method is very useful for controlling the output ozone concentration in ozone generators taking into account the active power in a DBD reactor. A dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) in atmospheric pressure air was excited by a high-voltage pulse power supply. The active power of the reactor was estimated from the area of the Lissajous figure formed by the V-Q traces, which is directly proportional to the energy consumed per cycle at voltages of 8 and 12 kV, respectively.

Abstract The experimental results on the study of negative ionization wave propagating along a long capillary tube are presented. The ionization wave was initiated by high-voltage pulse of negative polarity. The propagation of this surface ionization wave precedes and influences the establishment of complete electric breakdown within the tube. The spreading of this wave is accompanied by the surface charge deposition. The usage of the fine-sectioned outer electrode allows one to find out the general features of a negative ionization wave. The main of them is the tight correlation between local currents determining the formation of local surface charge and visual discharge images taken by the fast camera characterizing the pace of the ionization wave propagation.

Abstract The experimental results on the study of the positive ionization wave propagating along a long capillary tube are presented. The ionization wave was initiated by eigther high-voltage pulse of positive polarity applied over a long capillary tube with helium or high-voltage pulse applied over the same tube but in presence of low-current glow discharge. The spreading of this wave is accompanied by the surface charge deposition. The usage of the fine-sectioned outer electrode allows one to find out the features of the positive ionization wave in both cases (with or without low-current discharge).

Abstract This article presents the results of a study of the formation of a short rise time of a powerful nanosecond 410 kV pulse. Ferrite filled coaxial transmission lines with standard inner conductor and construction in the form of a spiral are designed. The sharpening of the pulse occurs due to the appearance of an electromagnetic shock wave in the ferrite. The value of the rise time at the level of 0.1 - 0.9 has been decreased from 4.5 to 2.5 ns.
