The objective of the present study was to evaluate the one-year clinical performance of lithium disilicate (LD) and zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) class II inlay restorations. Thirty healthy individuals who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled for the study. The patients were randomly divided into two study groups (n = 15): LD (IPS e.max press) and ZrO2 (Dentcare Zirconia). In the ZrO2 group, the internal surfaces of the inlays were sandblasted and silanized with Monobond N (Ivoclar, Leichsteistein, Germany). In the LD group, the internal surfaces of the inlays were etched with 5% hydrofluoric acid. The ceramic inlays were cemented with self-cure resin cement (Multilink N). Clinical examinations were performed using modified United State Public Health Codes and Criteria (USPHS) after 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 months and 1 year. The one-year survival rate was evaluated. In total, one failure was observed in the ZrO2 group. The survival probability after 1 year for the ZrO2 inlays was 93%, and for the LD inlays was 100%, which was statistically insignificant. The differences between both groups for most USPHS criteria (except for colour match) were statistically insignificant. Within the imitations of the present study, the lithium disilicate- and zirconia dioxide-based inlays exhibited comparable clinical performances. However, the colour and translucency match was superior for the lithium disilicate restorations.

This retrospective cohort study evaluated overall parental satisfaction of zirconia crowns (ZC) placed on primary maxillary anterior teeth with that of two independent, blinded dentists. 131 ZC placed in 37 children, aged 24.8–62.2 months (mean = 42.8), who had at least one recall visit a minimum of 6 months after placement were rated (average = 13.3). Crown colour match, crown contour and crown durability were evaluated by parents and compared to photographic evaluations of two independent raters. Overall parental satisfaction was also evaluated. The overall retention rate was 99.7% and parental satisfaction was 100%. Colour match was rated excellent by 84% of parents and 36% of dental evaluators. Crown contour was rated excellent by 97% of parents and 55% of dental evaluators. The length of follow-up had no effect on colour match or crown contour. ZC comprises an aesthetic and durable option for restoring carious primary maxillary incisors and were well-accepted by parents. Parents were less critical than dental evaluators of crown appearance.

Introduction: The study was done to compare the effectiveness of hydrophobic and hydrophilic pit and fissure sealant retention among 7-10 year old school children. Material and Methods: The present split mouth randomized trial was conducted on the occlusal surfaces of permanent first mandibular molars to compare and assess the retention along with other outcome variables like colour match, marginal discolouration, marginal adaptation, anatomic form, postoperative sensitivity, caries formation and surface roughness properties of Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic pit and fissure sealants at 3rd and 6th month. The data was compiled and analyzed using SPSS software and results were generated. Results: In the present study among the 50 restorations in the hydrophobic pit and fissure sealants (Group I), 48 (96%) restorations were retained at the end of third month and 45(90%) were retained at the end of sixth month. Among the 50 restorations in the hydrophilic pit and fissure sealants (Group II), 49(98%) restorations were retained at the end of third month, and 46(92%) at the end of sixth month were retained. There was no significant difference in the number of completely retained restorations at the end of six months (p = 1.00) among both the groups. The assessment of all the other outcome variables between both the interventions showed that the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The study concluded that the hydrophilic pit and fissure sealant was similar to the hydrophobic pit and fissure sealant in terms of retention, colour match, marginal discolouration, marginal adaptation, anatomic form and surface roughness properties with.   Keywords Pit and fissure sealants; Moisture tolerant; 7-10 years; School children; Mandibular teeth.

This study aims to identify the factors considered by online shop owners in choosing photo catalogue services. This research is quantitative type. This study's data sources are primary data conducted by distributing questionnaires to research respondents. This research sample is 54 online shop owners who use product catalogue photo services. This research's variables are product attributes consisting of the brand, quality, features, design, price, and guarantee. The data collection technique uses questionnaires to 54 samples of product catalogue service users. In this case, the weighting questionnaire was filled in, done with Osgood's semantic differential measurement scale. This study's data analysis techniques were factor analysis, factor feasibility test, and correlation analysis. Are six factors to consider online businesspeople using product catalogue photo services. Product quality factors include high photo resolution, proper photo brightness; the resulting photo focuses on the product and colour match. The Feature Factor includes distinctive features, exceptional light-dark levels, and distinctive themes. Design factors include photo clarity, photo editing, and ready-to-upload photos. Factors include price according to quality, affordable prices, discounted prices, and price variations. The warranty factor includes product warranty items, a money-back guarantee, and a photo re-guarantee. Promotional factors that are informative, attractive promotions, promotions that are easy to remember, service readiness, problem-solving, services that are as promised and responsive to complaints

Abstract Young children struggle more with mapping novel words onto relational referents (e.g., verbs) compared to non-relational referents (e.g., nouns). We present further evidence for this notion by investigating children's extensions of noun-noun compounds, which map onto combinations of non-relational referents, i.e., objects (e.g., baby and bottle for baby bottle), and relations (e.g., a bottle FOR babies). We tested two- to five-year-olds’ and adults’ generalisations of novel compounds composed of novel (e.g., kig donka) or familiar (e.g., star hat) nouns that were combined by one of two relations (e.g., donka that has a kig attached (=attachment relation) versus donka that stores a kig (=function relation)). Participants chose between a relational (shared relation) and a non-relational (same colour) match. Results showed a developmental shift from encoding non-relational aspects (colour) towards relations of compound referents, supporting the challenge of relational word referents. Also, attachment relations were more frequently encoded than function relations.

The modern era is seeing an incline in dental health issues namely dental caries, missing teeth, etc. causing an increased use of prosthetics to replace the function of such teeth or provide esthetics. This has led to various studies in this field to improve the quality and lifespan of the crowns. An important aspect of this is to consider the cementation process and luting material used, which are crucial in determining the result. A retrospective study was done on patients reporting to Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals. A sample size of 1055 was obtained and data tabulated using the Excel sheet. SPSS software was used to analyze the data statistically. Chi-square test was done to evaluate the association between tooth type and cement used, USPHS scores for adaptation, colour match, marginal discoloration and surface roughness. The study revealed that GIC was the most common luting material used which was statistically significant and lower molars were the most involved sites for cementation. The most common USPHS score for adaptation, marginal discoloration and surface roughness for all types of tooth was Score 0. For color match, the most common USPHS score was Score 1.

Purpose: To describe a combinatory technique made of Mustardè cheek advancement flap and paramedian forehead flap as a reconstructive option after orbital exenteration. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed all patients who underwent orbital exenteration and subsequent reconstruction with this technique at our Head and Neck Department, Divisions of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, at San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, Italy. Results: Three patients were treated with the aforementioned technique, following orbital exenteration due to malignancies. All of them were affected by recurrent diseases arising from the ocular components or periorbital structures: one basal cell carcinoma and two squamous cell carcinomas. Excellent result was achieved considering skin texture and colour match, aesthetic results and intra and post-operative complications (only minor, surgically controlled haemorrhage and minimal dehiscence subsequent to defective healing occurred). Conclusion: The proposed technique can be considered by the head and neck reconstructive surgeon as a good option in extended orbital exenteration.
