Approaches to the methodology for calculating key performance indicators for development institutions as part of their contribution to national development goals achievement has been reviewed. It has been shown that, depending on the methodology used, the value of this indicator can vary by up to 5 units, with each approach being relevant for a particular task. Using the example of an indicator in one of the areas of the national project “Small and Medium-Sized Business” (training activities) as an example, an integrated approach has been proposed to balance solution of the objectives of optimal spending of the federal budget and increasing the public outreach of its results.

We study the problem of a Herbig-Haro jet with a uniformly accelerating ejection velocity, travelling into a uniform environment. For the ejection density we consider two cases: a time-independent density, and a time-independent mass loss rate. For these two cases, we obtain analytic solutions for the motion of the jet head using a ram-pressure balance and a center of mass equation of motion. We also compute axisymmetric numerical simulations of the same flow, and compare the time-dependent positions of the leading working surface shocks with the predictions of the two analytic models. We find that if the jet is over-dense and over-pressured (with respect to the environment) during its evolution, a good agreement is obtained with the analytic models, with the flow initially following the center of mass analytic solution, and (for the constant ejection density case) at later times approaching the ram-pressure balance solution.

Vibration response and amplitude frequency characteristics of a controlled nonlinear meso-scale beam under periodic loading are studied. A method including a general analytical expression for harmonic balance solution to periodic vibration and an updated cycle iteration algorithm for amplitude frequency relation of periodic response is developed. A vibration equation with the general expression of nonlinear terms for periodic response is derived and a general analytical expression for harmonic balance solution is obtained. An updated cycle iteration procedure is proposed to obtain amplitude frequency relation. Periodic vibration response with various frequencies can be calculated uniformly using the method. The method can take into account the effect of higher harmonic components on vibration response, and it is applicable to various periodic vibration analyses including principal resonance, super-harmonic resonance, and multiple stationary responses. Numerical results demonstrate that the developed method has good convergence and accuracy. The response amplitude should be determined by the periodic solution with multiple harmonic terms instead of only the first harmonic term. The damping effect on response illustrates that vibration responses of the nonlinear meso beam can be reduced by feedback control with certain damping gain. The amplitude frequency characteristics including anti-resonance and resonant response variation have potential application to the vibration control design of nonlinear meso-scale structure systems.

Multi-agent pathfinding (MAPF) is the problem of moving a group of agents to a set of target destinations while avoiding collisions. In this work, we study the online version of MAPF where new agents appear over time. Several variants of online MAPF are defined and analyzed theoretically, showing that it is not possible to create an optimal online MAPF solver. Nevertheless, we propose effective online MAPF algorithms that balance solution quality, runtime, and the number of plan changes an agent makes during execution.

The imminent wireless technologies are demanding fusion of several networks with diverse technologies. A convenient user device for such an environment is the multihomed host, which is capable of making use of simultaneous multiple connections of heterogeneous networks and smartly distributing/receiving data among them. The aim of this work is to develop a mechanism for assessing the multihoming concept and to propose a system model for increasing its applicability. The proposed model provided a novel user-centric scheme for multihoming for multi-radio access technologies (multi-RAT). It is considered an evolution of traffic offloading for gaining more capacity, higher data rates, and real-time services. This work assumes data classifications, evaluates and ranks the available connections, and utilizes the application data in an unequal load balance scheme. This is achieved by analyzing the performance of three of the most widely used alternative-choice for multiple attributes decision making (MADM) methods. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP), along with a utility equation, is applied to the system model for unequal load balance solution. The proposed model is targeting an energy efficient mechanism which satisfies application needs. Moreover, it reveals an efficient transmission mechanism for a better quality of service, traffic management, and availability solutions. The simulation results show that the proposed system surpassed its former counterparts.

According to Islamic thoughts, Islam has brought up the matter of globalization, the establishment of global society and global government which is accepted all over the world without any discrimination of religion and civilization. Therefore, it is said that globalization is neither good nor bad despite the whole counter agreements. It either can or cannot be desirable, but the characteristics of globalization are different from the current feature of the Islamic perspective. In the current scenario, globalization is a powerful manifestation of Western civilization supremacy. In Pakistan, we are facing complex global challenges in the family system. Islam promotes family values, which are the necessary for family bonding. Whenever the cohesive bond gets weak, society begins to tumble. We are living in a fast-pacing, hectic community, where the protection of Islamic values in Pakistani society is a challenging task. This study will provide a balance solution regarding globalization for Pakistani Muslim society. The study will suggest the legal and ethical mechanism that needs to be developed in the Pakistani Muslim Society for protecting against globalization. This study is only limited to Pakistani Muslim society.

The paper addresses approximate integral-balance approach to a time-fractional diffusion equation of order 0 < ? < 1 with a time-dependent diffusion coefficient of power-law type D(t)=D0t? where 0 < ? < 1. The form of the solution spreading in a semi-infinite medium through an analysis of the second moment of the approximate solution reveals that depending on the sum ?+? the solution can model subdiffusive (?+?<1), superdiffusive (?+?>1) or Gaussian (?+?=1) process of transport. The optimal exponents of the approximate parabolic profiles have been determined by minimization the mean squared error of approximation over the penetration depth.
