In the framework of finitely supported atomic sets, by using the notion of atomic cardinality and the T-finite support principle (a closure property for supports in some higher-order constructions), we present some finiteness properties of the finitely supported binary relations between infinite atomic sets. Of particular interest are finitely supported Dedekind-finite sets because they do not contain finitely supported, countably infinite subsets. We prove that the infinite sets ℘fs(Ak×Al), ℘fs(Ak×℘m(A)), ℘fs(℘n(A)×Ak) and ℘fs(℘n(A)×℘m(A)) do not contain uniformly supported infinite subsets. Moreover, the functions space ZAm does not contain a uniformly supported infinite subset whenever Z does not contain a uniformly supported infinite subset. All these sets are Dedekind-finite in the framework of finitely supported structures.

The Serbian Armed Forces support represents a part of the military activity aimed at creating conditions for the execution of missions and tasks. For successful support, it is necessary to establish the cooperation with relevant institutions of the Republic of Serbia. The conceptual definition of the geo-topographic support has been researched in the context of previous and current regulations, which have shown that the achievements of information and communications technology have influenced not only the development of the geographic information systems, but also directly the definition of this concept. The importance of the geographic information systems in the collection, processing, analysis and use of geospatial data has also determined the contents of the geo-topographic support. The continuous development of the geographic information systems in the direction of establishing a service-oriented approach to the distribution and use of geospatial data, will directly affect the future improvement of the content of the geo-topographic support. Such a process is accompanied by the establishment of the geo-topographic support principle, which should enable the construction and maintenance of a stable structure, in order to successfully carry out the assigned missions and tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Researchers and educators have explored a variety of technologies to facilitate self-regulated learning (SRL). Drawing from contemporary perspectives on SRL, this paper articulates two fundamental design principles for SRL-promoting technologies: the platform principle and the support principle. This paper then discusses how usability inspection methods, such as heuristic evaluations and cognitive walkthroughs, can readily assess whether and how these needs are met. This framework can assist researchers and educators in evaluating technologies to make strategic design and implementation decisions aligned with self-regulation.

The existence of coal mine water has an important influence on the instability of soft rock roadway in mining engineering. Considering the effect of mine water, a case study on the fracture mechanism and control technology of soft rock roadway was performed in this paper. The results showed that with the increase of moisture content, the uniaxial compressive strength of mudstone nonlinearly decreased, while the tensile strength, Young’s modulus, cohesion, and friction angle tended to a linear decrease approximately. Meanwhile, with the increase of the weakening coefficient, the axial force of the anchorage body increased gradually, while the maximum shear stress decreased gradually. With the increase of moisture content, the failure zone was further propagated into the deep surrounding rock, resulting in a larger stress relaxation around the roadway, especially in the roof and floor. Finally, the supporting technology of the roadway was proposed, and then its support principle, design process, and parameters were also analyzed in detail. The field monitoring data showed that the support technology can control the surrounding rock deformation effectively and maintain the long-term stability of the roadway.

By way of a summary of Part III, this chapter shows how the competitive routinization of the four types of associations brings about what we regard as the structure of language on the cognitive level. In the course of this, the important and pervasive role of paradigmatic associations and their routinization is discussed and three principles related to paradigmatic associations are postulated: the paradigmatic strengthening principle, the paradigmatic extension principle, and the paradigmatic support principle. In line with the feedback-loop idea which lies behind the EC-Model, it is argued that this structure is derived from cognitive principles of associative learning, processing, and representation, but can only serve as a means of communication if it is conventionalized in a speech community, which in turn influences what can become entrenched in the minds of individual speakers.

Three dimensional Collaborative Virtual Environments are a powerful form of collaborative telecommunication applications, enabling the users to share a common three-dimensional space and interact with each other as well as with the environment surrounding them, in order to collaboratively solve problems or aid learning processes. Such an environment is “EVE Training Area tool” which is supported by “EVE platform”. This tool is a three-dimensional space where participants, represented by three-dimensional humanoid avatars, can use a variety of e-collaboration tools. This paper presents advanced functionality that has been integrated on “EVE Training Area tool” in order to support: (a) multiple collaborative learning techniques (b) Spatial audio conferencing, which is targeted to support principle 3 (augmenting user's representation and awareness). Furthermore the paper presents technological and implementation issues concerning the evolution of “EVE platform” in order to support this functionality.
