The work aim: with the use of program means for business-process modeling and creation of database models to develop models of business-processes and database (DB) of computer training system (CTS), the aim of the creation of which consists in the automation of elderly people training at the faculty of mass communications and informatics (FMC&I) of Moscow Serebryany University (MSU) on the basis of which there was carried out this investigation. Methods of investigation: scientific-practical development of business-process models with the aid of IDEF0 and IDEF3 universal graphic languages of business-modeling and DB CES for MSU. The investigation results: the developed models of business- processes and DB CES manifesting basic aspects of elderly people training at FMC&I. The developed models of business-processes and DB CES form the basis of the further development of CES prototype for MSU and will allow automating in future the process of training and testing elderly people under training and entered the FNC&I of MSU.

This paper describes an instance of the analytical model of project workflows on the example of the project approval procedure in the design and technological preparation of production, developed on the basis of data from a large radio engineering industrial organization. This instance helps a system analyst, including a design engineer, process engineer, and designer, in the field of business process management to identify system errors (for example, the location of deadlocks, bottlenecks, etc.) when analyzing the existing (synthesizing new) project work flows in the basis of graphic languages, for example, UMLlanguage, BPML-language, IDEF0-language, etc. This article is one of the follow-ups works on the methodology for processing design workflows in the basis of graphic languages.

The purpose of the author’s fundamental research is to increase the efficiency of processing business processes in automated systems (AS) in the basis of graphic languages by reducing the time spent on their development and processing. The goal is also to improve the success of the processing of workflow diagrammatic models. Moreover, success is understood as meeting the requirements for resource constraints, including functionality, financial component and deadlines. Also, the goal includes improving the quality of diagrammatic models by controlling denotative and significative semantic errors. The business process itself is presented in the form of a diagrammatic workflow model, and process processing refers to the analysis, control, transformation and interpretation of workflow diagrammatic models. The paper contains an analysis of existing approaches to automating the design of workflows in a large design organization. Descriptions of the development of the theoretical foundations for the processing of diagrammatic models of workflows are proposed in the form of a new principle of organizing the flows of design work in the basis of graphic languages – “Ensemble”, a new analytical model of organizing the flows of design work, taking into account orchestration, choreography. The developed principle and model are integrated into the methodology of the structural-semantic approach. A computational experiment based on the developed model is described, which represents the workflows of design work in the design preparation of production and technological preparation of production. This article is one of the follow-up works on the methodology for processing design workflows in the basis of graphic languages.

Graphic techniques are very important means for designers. They can improve the conceptual presentation of new products before a client or a company, stimulating the communication of their potential, defending their benefits and making clear their commercial viability. To choose the most suitable graphic languages is essential so that the client can understand the proposal, allowing this way to establish a dialogue with the designer itself in order to improve the solution. Today the multiplication of graphic media has made it possible for the designers to have a wide range of ways to conduct and present their ideas, but it may happen that the graphic techniques chosen may not always be the most appropriate.

This work aims to demonstrate the importance of graphic expression used as a tool for presenting ideas about new products, and evaluate the effectiveness of several graphic techniques in improving the client's understanding of the product, taking into account the conceptual clarity, the representation of the mode of use, the relationship with the user and the contextualization of the product in its habitat or use environment.

This article deals with multidimensional analyses. Analyzed data are designed according to a conceptual model as a constellation of facts and dimensions, which are composed of multi-hierarchies. This model supports a query algebra defining a minimal core of operators, which produce multidimensional tables for displaying analyzed data. This user-oriented algebra supports complex analyses through advanced operators and binary operators. A graphical language, based on this algebra, is also provided to ease the specification of multidimensional queries. These graphical manipulations are expressed from a constellation schema and they produce multidimensional tables.
