The problem of operational-search support of special operations with the help of a complex of operational-search measures and other auxiliary tactical methods of actions that contribute to the effective achievement of goals and the solution of special operations tasks is considered. Based on the definitions of the concepts «special operation», «operational-search operation» and the opinions of researchers, the author proposed a definition of an operational-search support of special operations, tasks and stages of its implementation are formulated. It is noted that the entire range of tasks can be solved only with the widespread use of the undercover method, the use of an operational game, which implies the use of an organizational and tactical form - an operational search operation. If it is necessary to urgently conduct a special operation in conditions of extremely limited operational illumination, only certain measures of operational-search support are possible, which do not include an operational-search operation. Analyzing the experience of the practical activities of the internal affairs bodies of Russia, the author concludes about the consideration of special and operational-search operations in their dialectical interaction, when one type of operation by tactical methods of action can solve problems inherent in it, and at the same time it can ensure the actions of another type of operation. When analyzing the operational-search support, the author determines its most effective organizational and tactical form – the operational-search operation.

An original generalizing class of game-theoretic models (operational games or KOSH games) is presented, using which many micro-and macro - economic interactions are naturally modeled. Basic concepts of the theory of operational games and classification of such games, equations of dynamics of operational game interactions, and procedures for modeling scenarios of such interactions are described. Examples of operational games and some practical results of using this theory are given. The possibilities of fundamental and applied development of the considered direction of game-theoretic research are analyzed. The importance of this research is due to the fact that the original idea of the founders of game theory, which is to create an adequate accurate language for describing economic processes, has not been implemented to this day. In this paper, an attempt is made to implement this by accurately defining the concept of “operation” using static games of a well-defined type and considering dynamic ensembles of such static games.

AbstractWe consider a hierarchy of four typed call-by-value languages with either higher-order or ground-type references and with either $$\mathrm {call/cc}$$ call / cc or no control operator.Our first result is a fully abstract trace model for the most expressive setting, featuring both higher-order references and $$\mathrm {call/cc}$$ call / cc , constructed in the spirit of operational game semantics. Next we examine the impact of suppressing higher-order references and callcc in contexts and provide an operational explanation for the game-semantic conditions known as visibility and bracketing respectively. This allows us to refine the original model to provide fully abstract trace models of interaction with contexts that need not use higher-order references or $$\mathrm {call/cc}$$ call / cc . Along the way, we discuss the relationship between error- and termination-based contextual testing in each case, and relate the two to trace and complete trace equivalence respectively.Overall, the paper provides a systematic development of operational game semantics for all four cases, which represent the state-based face of the so-called semantic cube.

AbstractThis paper describes a field study that examined the effectiveness of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in anti-poaching enforcement in parks and game reserves. In the field study, a UAV attempted to spot mock poachers while the mock poachers tried to spot the UAV. The field study was conducted at N/a’an ku sê, an operational game reserve in the central region of Namibia. In total, 118 trials were completed, providing 236 UAV-poacher interdiction scenarios. Of these, 198 were during the day, 152 with a quadcopter and 46 with a fixed-wing. Live spotting success during the day varied due to the hiding behavior of the mock poachers, with the highest and lowest success rates of spotting being 86% for poachers in the open and 25% for poachers hiding under canopy cover. The UAVs were demonstrated to be a potentially effective tool for anti-poaching patrol and interdiction, in part, because of their ability to spot poachers. The pursuit of integrating the UAV into current anti-poaching patrol and interdiction efforts in arid savanna landscapes is strongly recommended.
