The article represents methodical and practical aspects of the problem of development of health-preserving competence of future bachelors in physical therapy, characterizing the content and methods of pedagogical activity during studying professional disciplines. The value principles and social dimensions of the problem of designing and application of innovative teaching methods in higher education are analyzed. The thematic blocks of classes in the content of professional disciplines of future bachelors in physical therapy are characterized according to the purpose - formation of health-preserving competence of future bachelors in physical therapy. Peculiarities of innovative methods application of teaching professional disciplines in health-preserving competence development of future bachelors in physical therapy are revealed. Innovative methods of teaching professional disciplines are classified into three major groups depending on the learning objectives, expected results and features of the educational activities organization (dialogue, game and practice-oriented). The content and goals of each group of methods are determined, examples of their application in the professional training practice are given. The conclusion is formulated that the division of methods into dialogue, game and practice-oriented is conditional because each method presented can potentially solve integrated problems and functions. Their effectiveness depends on the teacher's facilitation of learning and youths’ development.

Abstract:The character must be accompanied by emotional intelligence to be able to encourage students in understanding mathematics learning. Students who have emotional intelligence are expected to be able to manage themselves and others. This study aims to develop mathematical learning tools based on integrated problems of emotional intelligence and character of students. The location of this study was in one of the public schools in Palopo City, with the subject of the study is the students of class X. The development procedure used adopted the Plomp model. But this study only reached the test, evaluation, and revision phase. Learning tools developed are teaching materials, learning implementation plans, and student worksheets. The instruments used were learning achievement tests, emotional intelligence questionnaires, student character questionnaires, learning management observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and student questionnaire responses to learning. The results showed that the integrated problem-based learning device of emotional intelligence that was developed met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Container terminals as strategic nodes in global supply chains require improving logistics operations in order to compete. This chapter addresses the problem of how to improve logistics operations to increase the container terminal's throughput and capacity by lean logistics principles and simulation optimization methods. Current research in container terminals is focused on solving specific decision problems at container terminals, e.g., determining the optimal number of equipment to increase productivity. However, there is little evidence of studies related to designing operations to increase performance indicators, such as truck turnaround times or crane productivity, through simulation-optimization models and lean logistics principles. Consequently, the aim of this chapter is to describe a methodological framework for improving logistics operations at container terminals using lean logistics principles and simulation-optimization techniques. A research agenda to explore the applicability and usefulness of the proposed approach on a set of integrated problems is finally proposed.

Nowadays, the companies must adapt their business processes changing more dynamically in accordance with rapidly changing market conditions and IT systems. This paper extends our previous method, which shows a novel approach to integrate a service system. In this paper, we focus on the integrated problems of the Business Process Management System (BPMS). The service is encapsulated as a SCA service component, which is extended to be a service surrogate. Meanwhile, the XML-based process template is used to define the composition process. An interactive access control strategy based on service components is also proposed. At the end of this paper, it is applied in the textile-order process management system (TPMS) as a case study.

In this paper, we discuss the notion of IC-Bags as introduced by the author, some issues related to IC-Bag based systems and their application in decision analysis. Sometimes it is observed that the semi-structured or unstructured nature of the problems addressed by expert systems can be perceived as the cause for the inability to develop precise requirement specifications. IC-Bags can serve as a tool for building rule-based decision analysis systems which can deal with situations where the count of the objects are not necessarily fixed. We discuss the semi-structured specifications involving maximum and minimum numbers of applications related to the problem-oriented methodology for the integrated problems involving IC-Bags. In this context, the total bias factor and the confidence level of the knowledge base are considered.
