PurposeGiven the huge investment and complexity of information technology, it is imperative that boards of directors fully play their important role in promoting firms' IT success. This study aims to investigate the effects of boards of directors' external ties on firms' IT success from the perspective of resource dependence theory.Design/methodology/approachAccording to the method of the matched sample comparison group, a total of 576 samples of listed enterprises in three periods were obtained.FindingsResults show that both boards' political ties and boards' business ties have a positive impact on firms' IT success. Environmental uncertainty and the institutional environment play different roles in the relationships between two types of external ties and firms' IT success. Specifically, the results show that the institutional environment can regulate the influence of the political association of directors on firms' IT success negatively. In addition, environmental uncertainty regulates the influence of directors' political association on firms' IT success negatively, as well as the influence of directors' commercial association with firms' IT success.Research limitations/implicationsThe external ties were measured by cross-sectional data. And the current study focused on two fundamental types of external ties.Originality/valueBoards' external ties are studied from both political and business perspectives, and the effects of these two types of external ties on firms' IT success are compared. Additionally, the moderating effects of the institutional environment (macro level) and environmental uncertainty (micro level) in these relationships are investigated.
Alquran and Hadits are Islamic teachings in which there are teachings for charity and work which are recited in the sentence "amal as shalihat". Work ethic is one of the elements among the seven universal cultural elements, namely the element of "livelihood systems". livelihood system means economy. Allah SWT in his word remember that Allah SWT will not change the fate of humans before humans change what is in him.
Abstract
Objective : The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical outcome of autotransplantation of mature third molars to fresh molar extraction sockets using 3D replicas.
Materials and Methods : Ten patients underwent teeth autotransplantation. We observed the mobility, percussion, radiography examination, the probing depth and the masticatory function of the transplanted teeth duringtwo yearsfollowing up, which were transplanted into fresh molar sockets by using 3D replicas, and GBR when it is necessary.
Results : The average extra-oral time of donor tooth had been shortened to 1.65 min when used the 3D replica. Some probing depth of the transplanted tooth were deeper than 3 mm at 4 or 5 weeks temporarily. And one patient felt slight sensitive when chewing with soft food at 4 weeks, then disappeared. The clinical examination of the autotransplantation teeth during one year follow-up showed no sign of failure.
Conclusions : The tooth autotransplantationusing 3D replica is an effective method which can reduce the extra-oral time of the donor teeth and may result in less failure.
Clinical Relevance : The new 3D replica of donor tooth can make the surgery of tooth autotransplantation much easier, and improve it success rate.
Abstract
Objective
The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of autotransplantation of a mature third molar to a fresh molar extraction socket using a 3D replica.
Materials and Methods
Ten patients underwent autotransplantation of teeth. We observed the mobility, percussion, radiography examination, the probing depth and the masticatory function of the transplanted teeth during one year following up, which were transplanted into fresh molar sockets by using a 3D replica, and GBR when it is necessary.
Results
The average extra-oral time of donor tooth had been shortened to 1.65 min. The clinical examination of the autotransplantation teeth during one year follow-up showed no sign of failure. Expect one patient feel slight sensitive when chewing with soft food at 4 weeks, and 3 points of probing depth deeper at different patients than 3mm and 1 points of probing depth deeper than 4mm at 4 weeks among them, and 1 points of probing depth deeper than 3mm at 5 weeks at the same patient.
Conclusions
The autotransplantation of teeth using 3D replica is an effective method which can reduce the extra-oral time of the donor teeth and the demand for the experience of a surgeon, and had a high success rate.
Clinical Relevance
The new 3D replica of donor tooth can make the surgery of tooth autotransplantation much easier, and improve it success rate.
