During the pandemic, the government gave a policy that the learning process must be carried out remotely. This becomes a problem for art and culture teachers in carrying out their learning process. Cultural arts learning requires appreciation and expression activities in the learning process, so that if learning is carried out in PJJ, it will reduce student interest and achievement of predetermined indicators. The existence of these problems makes teachers have to change strategies in the learning process so that indicators can still be achieved. Meanwhile, utilizing the You Tube and Tik Tok applications packaged with Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models can be a good solution, where the Youtube application is a substitute for appreciative media and the Tik Tok application is a substitute for media in expression. Based on the background revealed, this study will discuss the use of You Tube and Tik Tok applications in the art and culture learning process for creating dance materials. This study aims to describe how the use of You Tube and Tik Tok applications in the art and culture learning process for creating dance materials. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by field studies, namely observation techniques, and documentation studies, while data studies were carried out in 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research is expected to inspire teachers to always innovate in the learning process, because the results of this study can describe that by utilizing the You Tube and Tik Tok applications learning becomes more fun and can achieve predetermined indicators. ABSTRAKSelama masa pandemi pemerintah memberikan kebijakan bahwa proses pembelajaran harus dilakukan dengan dengan jarak jauh. Hal ini menjadi sebuah permasalahan bagi guru seni budaya dalam melakukan proses pembelajarannya. Pembelajaran seni budaya membutuhkan kegiatan apresiasi dan ekspresi dalam proses pembelajarannya, sehingga apabila pembelajaran dilakukan secara PJJ, maka akan mengurangi minat siswa dan ketercapaian indikator yang sudah ditentukan. Adanya permasalahan tersebut membuat guru harus merubah strategi dalam proses pembelajarannya agar indikator tetap dapat tercapai. Adapun dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi You Tube dan Tik Tok yang di kemas dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat menjadi solusi yang baik, dimana aplikasi Youtube sebagai pengganti media berapresiasi dan aplikasi Tik Tok sbagai pengganti media dalam berekspresi. Berdasarkan latar belakang yang diungkapkan penelitian ini akan membahas tentang pemanfaatan aplikasi You Tube dan Tik Tok pada proses pembelajaran seni budaya materi berkreasi tari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pemanfaatan aplikasi You Tube dan Tik Tok pada proses pembelajaran seni budaya materi berkreasi tari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi lapangan yaitu teknik observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, sedangkan studi data dilakukan dengan 3 tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menginspirasi para guru agar selalu berinovasi dalam proses pembelajaran, karena hasil penelitian ini dapat mendeskripsikan bahwa dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi You Tube dan Tik Tok pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan dapat mencapai indikator yang sudah di tentukan.

AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic affects all aspects, including cultural arts. Cultural arts have an important role in human civilization as a result of thoughts and traditions from ancestors. The existence of the cultural arts of Malay Riau is decreased during the pandemic. All cultural arts activities have been shifted from the offline stage to the online stage so that the efforts to inherit and develop the cultural arts of Malay Riau are hampered. This research aims to determine the differences in the existence of Malay Riau cultural arts before and after the pandemic in Riau students at the Malay Riau Cultural Unit, Bandung Institute of Technology (UKMR ITB) and in Riau people in general. This research also aims to gather the opinions from Riau students and Riau people about innovations to inherit the Malay Riau cultural arts during the pandemic. The methods which are used in this research to gather the data: study literature, interviews, and questionnaires. Based on this research, Malay Riau Cultural Unit has made an innovation to inherit the values of Malay Riau cultural arts through making cultural archives so that the inheritance of traditions can be carried out, even though the pandemic is still undergoing. Through this research, we hope that the existence of Malay Riau cultural arts can be maintained through continuous innovation, especially in Riau students at the Malay Riau Cultural Unit and in the Riau people.Keywords: Cultural arts; Malay Riau; Existence, pandemic; Innovation

Indonesia has an extraordinary wealth of cultural arts, one of which is the Gringsing woven fabric in Bali. The beauty of Gringsing weaving attracts the author to apply it to bag products as an aesthetic element. This design aims to design a women's bag with a fringe model through a combination of Grinsing weaving elements. This design uses the method of creation, namely: exploration, design, and realization stages. In addition, the design also pays attention to the approach to practical functions, themes/styles, ergonomics, and aesthetics. This design resulted in five designs of women's bags with fringe bag models with the application of Gringsing woven fabric, namely fringe tote bags, fringe slingbags, fringe backpacks, fringe handbags, and fringe waist bags. Of the five designs, two designs were realized into women's bag products, namely the fringe sling bag and backpack models. Through the design of creative bags that use motifs on Gringsing woven fabrics, can produce unique and distinctive typical creations that reflect Indonesian culture.

<p>This research investigates the benefits of traditional/ethnic arts participation on well-being for immigrant and ethnic minority groups. While arts programs are increasingly seen as beneficial, little empirical evidence exists to support this belief, especially regarding ethnic groups in cross-cultural transition and multicultural environments. Three phases of research were undertaken, the first being qualitative, followed by two quantitative studies. Study 1 was a qualitative research into feelings of migrant and minority artists about how their arts practices affected their lives and acculturation processes. Practitioners from a number of ethno-cultural groups of both traditional and contemporary/Western arts were included to determine whether there were differences in effects of practices between those categories. Several broad themes emerged specific to the traditional/ethnic arts category, providing strong evidence for distinction between ethnic and contemporary/Western arts in effect for ethnic peoples: Cultural knowledge, the learning of cultural history, behaviours, and mores, Connectedness, the feeling of connection to family, peers, and community, as well as to other ethnic communities, Ethnic identity development, the sense of belongingness and meaning arising from ethno-cultural group membership. Study 2 examined data from longitudinal study of New Zealand youth (Youth Connectedness Project), specifically addressing differences based on arts participation for Maori and Pasifika (Polynesian) youth. Results demonstrated that youth who participated in any arts reported greater connectedness and well-being over those who participated in no arts, and that youth who participated in traditional Polynesian cultural arts had the highest ethnic identity scores. The processes involved were modelled and tested with path modelling. Study 3 was designed to investigate components of ethnic arts practices to understand why and how the improvements in ethnic identity, connectedness, and well-being observed in the previous studies come about. Participants were recruited internationally, from a wide range of ethnicities and arts practices. The outcomes of this study include construction of cross-cultural measure of traditional arts participation factors and a structural equation which models the process by which Well-Being is enhanced. Factors arising in exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses of the scale were centrality, pride, belongingness, and cultural knowledge. In the process model tested, level of traditional/ethnic arts participation positively influenced levels of Connectedness and Ethnic Identity, which both served as mediators between level of traditional arts participation and increased Well-Being outcomes. In summary, these studies demonstrate that there are specific individual and group level benefits from participation in traditional arts for members of ethnic cultures and their communities. These benefits operate through enhancement of ethnic identity and connectedness, which in turn positively influence well-being outcomes. The results suggest that public support of such arts and programs which include such arts would lead to better adaptation outcomes for immigrant and ethnic minority groups.</p>

This study aims to motivate students' creativity in making musical compositions in Cultural Arts and Fine Arts learning. Student creativity is needed to preserve cultural arts. This study focuses on making folk song medley arrangements and their implementation for high school choirs. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data was obtained through literature study, observation, and field studies. The sample of this research is the student choir group at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman models, namely by data reduction, tabulation, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the arrangement of a medley of folk songs could make students more enthusiastic and creative in learning Arts, Culture and Arts, especially music. In addition, it was also shown that students were more creative in expressing their musical performances through the choir. The songs that were successfully arranged were “Gundul-Gundul Pacul”, “Cublak-Cublak Suweng” and “Padang Bulan”.

Abstract Four decades ago, memedi sawah or traditional scarecrows were commonly used to repel rice-eating sparrows in paddy fields in Java. Nowadays, many farmers use plastic sheets, a non-environmentally friendly material, tied to rows of bamboo sticks in the paddy field to repel sparrows. Memedi sawah is now transformed into works of art and displayed in prestigious art galleries. This study aimed to bring back memedi sawah made from environmental-friendly materials to the paddy fields. The production was done by implementing environmental-friendly design principles and the concept of aèng, a theory of creating Javanese cultural arts. The result of this study is expected to help farmers in protecting paddy plants while preserving the cultural values and spirit of the local community.

The objectives of this study were (1) to analyze the needs of-based music modules experiential learning to improve the ability to play music in elementary school students, (2) to analyze the feasibility of the-based music art module module experiential learning to improve the ability to play music in elementary school students, (3) ) to analyze the effectiveness of the music art module based on experiential learning to improve the ability to play music in elementary school students. This research uses Research and Depelopment research methods referring to the 10 stages of Borg and Gall. Data collection used is the technique of observation, interviews, and performance of ability to play music. The analysis used in this research is quantitative and qualitative analysis, including the practice of musical instruments, learning observations, and validation of the musical arts module product. The product analysis of the musical arts module based on experiential learning to improve cultural arts and crafts in elementary schools includes 6 stages. Sources of data in this study were teachers and students of class VI SDN Magung 03 and SDN 04 Nagreg.  The results of the development of the musical arts module based on experiential learning contain the need for a special module which includes basic learning and the stages of learning in detail, therefore the development of a music art module based on experiential learning is made. After being validated by the validator, it gets a score of 87.5 with category valid. Then the-based music art module is experiential learning applied to the experimental class and the calculation results using the t test are obtained sig 5%, meaning that there is an increase in the ability to play music using the-based music art module experiential learning then the N-gain is 0.4 in the moderate category. The effectiveness test in this study was carried out by comparing the performance results of the student's ability to play music in the control class and the experimental class. It is found that tcount is 6.9. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the musical arts module based on experiential learning can be used in learning cultural arts and crafts in high classes. Hopefully it can inspire teachers to innovate in other learning.
