Romans 11:25-27 is part of the New Testament which is quite difficult to interpret. Many debates have arisen from biblical scholars in interpreting this passage. Theological pre-assumptions can divert the interpretation of the text. The systematic theological approach can lead the interpreter's understanding not intended by the author of the book. Biblical theology must be produced through an interpretive process that pays attention to the elements of biblical texts. In interpreting Romans 11:25-27, an interpreter needs to pay attention to textual, contextual, intertextual and theological elements. Thus Romans 11:25-27 is not interpreted in the lens of systematic theology (soteriology, ecclesiology and eschatology), but pays attention to the text and the final format of the book. Thus, there is no need to continue the debate on predestination and the nature of the church in relation to Israel in both a pastoral and academic context. Understanding Romans 11:25-27 makes believers active in preaching the gospel to implement God's great plan for the church and Israel. Ultimately, God is glorified by the two communities that God has chosen.

The Book of Lamentations is a book rich in theological reflections on condemnation and hope. The reflection is enriched by the type of literature used, poetry with the lamentation subgenre, and with an acrostic and stratified text structure. The richness and depth of his theological contemplation encourage the research of this book in biblical theology. The purpose of this study is to find biblical theology of punishment and hope according to the Book of Lamentations. The method used in this study is a synthesis method by finding literary forms, book structures, major themes, and developing these themes by investigating the text based on the structure of the book, as well as investigating various supporting literature. Through this research, it was found that the sins of the people can lead to God's judgment and that punishment causes painful suffering. The right response is to recognize sin and repent and hope in God. God's faithful love and mercy are a strong foundation of hope for believers.

The term hermeneutic comes from the Greek word hermeneuo, which means to convey (a thought or desire), explain (a speech), and translate (something from one language to another). This word is related to the god Hermes, a god in Greek mythology whose job is to convey the message of the gods to humans as recipients. Hermeneutics has always been used as the science and art of interpreting Scripture. It is important to note that hermeneutics is closely related to biblical studies, such as canon studies, textual criticism, historical criticism, exegesis, biblical theology and systematic theology.

Edmund Clowney created a triangle diagram to explain the func- tion of types in the Old Testament. The triangle has since become known as “Clowney’s triangle.” It has proved fruitful, and several people have incorporated it into their principles for interpretation and their interpretations of individual types. Let us reflect on its significance. KEYWORDS:

Holiness is one of God's essential attributes of His Divinity. The Bible clearly shows the nature of God, that He is a holy God. In 1 Peter 1:16, the human being who is in Him is also expected to live a holy life. Holiness itself is obtained through the Spirit of God who cleanses the human soul from sin, is renewed into the likeness of Christ, and by receiving grace to obey God according to His Word. The Bible guides Christians to live holy lives, both before God and before their fellow human beings. The importance of maintaining the holiness of life so that it is necessary to teach children from an early age. The topic of this research is how the method of teaching holiness to children is seen from 1 Peter 1:26. This article was written using the study of biblical theology to understand the holiness of God and a descriptive qualitative research approach and got the results that the holiness of life is a gift from God in Christ and must be taught to children about the holiness of life through the example of life by the parents around them.

This article reviews five recent contributions to the field of New Testament theology. More accurately, three NT theologies will be examined alongside two biblical theologies, given that some regard NT theology as inherently deficient apart from OT theology. These five works are notable not only for their diversity of methodology but also their diversity of cultural perspective—one book by a Finn (Timo Eskola’s A Narrative Theology of the New Testament), one by two Germans (Reinhard Feldmeier’s and Hermann Spieckermann’s God of the Living: A Biblical Theology), one by a Canadian (Thomas R. Hatina’s New Testament Theology and its Quest for Relevance: Ancient Texts and Modern Readers), one by an American (Craig L. Blomberg’s A New Testament Theology), and one by a native Briton (John Goldingay’s Biblical Theology). Along the way, this review article will consider how these works navigate the tricky and contested terrain of NT (or biblical) theology, particularly vis-à-vis matters of history, canon, synthesis and diversity, and contemporary relevance.

The article analyses the work of the outstanding bible writer and theologian W. Brueggemann. Bruggeman is known not only as an authoritative researcher and commentator of many Old Testament texts but also as a representative of the tradition of «biblical theology», a trend of humanitarian thought that is becoming less popular in Western scientific circles. The theological endeavour of the American theologian was significantly influenced by the latest trends in modern Western philosophy and literature studies (poststructuralism, deconstructivism, rhetorical criticism, semiotics). The article explores the extent to which Bruggeman has managed to combine his commitment to postmodern hermeneutics with his loyalty to the tradition of biblical theology.
