Supply chain-related curricula exist across many universities, with many including risk management as an important or focal element. With the rise of software-driven technology across the supply chain, how can firms manage the inherent risks associated with software as part of a procurement process? This article examines how to provide context appropriate cybersecurity exemplars in a model supply chain education program, bringing to light the issue of embedded risk in software acquisition. Through a series of specifically placed educational elements that provide targeted cybersecurity knowledge to students, the objective is to provide additional skill sets for future supply chain professionals to assist firms in including software related cybersecurity risk as a component in SCRM.

AbstractAlthough useful at short and medium ranges, current dynamical models provide little additional skill for precipitation forecasts beyond week 2 (14 days). However, recent studies have demonstrated that downstream forcing by the Madden–Julian oscillation (MJO) and quasi-biennial oscillation (QBO) influences subseasonal variability, and predictability, of sensible weather across North America. Building on prior studies evaluating the influence of the MJO and QBO on the subseasonal prediction of North American weather, we apply an empirical model that uses the MJO and QBO as predictors to forecast anomalous (i.e., categorical above- or below-normal) pentadal precipitation at weeks 3–6 (15–42 days). A novel aspect of our study is the application and evaluation of the model for subseasonal prediction of precipitation across the entire contiguous United States and Alaska during all seasons. In almost all regions and seasons, the model provides “skillful forecasts of opportunity” for 20%–50% of all forecasts valid weeks 3–6. We also find that this model skill is correlated with historical responses of precipitation, and related synoptic quantities, to the MJO and QBO. Finally, we show that the inclusion of the QBO as a predictor increases the frequency of skillful forecasts of opportunity over most of the contiguous United States and Alaska during all seasons. These findings will provide guidance to forecasters regarding the utility of the MJO and QBO for subseasonal precipitation outlooks.

AbstractWe evaluate the impact of adding two-way coupling between atmosphere and ocean to the Met Office deterministic global forecast model. As part of preoperational testing of this coupled NWP configuration we have three years of daily forecasts, run in parallel to the uncoupled operational forecasts. Skill in the middle and upper troposphere out to T + 168 h is generally increased compared to the uncoupled model. Improvements are strongest in the tropics and largely neutral in midlatitudes. We attribute the additional skill in the atmosphere to the ability of the coupled model to predict sea surface temperature (SST) variability in the (sub)tropics with greater skill than persisted SSTs as used in uncoupled forecasts. In the midlatitude, ocean skill for SST is currently marginally worse than persistence, possibly explaining why there is no additional skill for the atmosphere in midlatitudes. Sea ice is predicted more skillfully than persistence out to day 7 but the impact of this on skill in the atmosphere is difficult to verify. Two-way air–sea coupling benefits tropical cyclone forecasts by reducing median track and central pressure errors by around 5%, predominantly from T + 90 to T + 132 h. Benefits from coupling are largest for large cyclones, and for smaller storms coupling can be detrimental. In this study skill in forecasts of the Madden–Julian oscillation does not change with two-way air–sea coupling out to T + 168 h.

Dedication to provide maintenance management training fighting fish (Betta sp.) the good and completely in accordance with SNI fighting fish to the community PayaPeunaga, Meureubo sub-district, West Aceh District.The problem faced today is the statistics of West Aceh Regency in 2017 figures indicating that many people have a productive age in PayaPeunaga Village, Meureubo Sub-district, but not accompanied by job vacancies, causing unemployment at productive ages. Solution offered from this dedication is to provide additional skill to the community in PayaPeunaga Village, MeureuboSubdistrict to be able to manage the good and correct fighting fish in accordance with SNI of fighting fish.Implementation of community service activities include: 1) discussion and socialization of fighting fish (Betta sp.) that potentially increase the income of the community and 2) good ornamental fighting fish management training according to SNI of fighting fish. Result of the dedication is that the community is very enthusiastic to cultivate fighting fish and hopes that this community service program can be continued to provide assistance to the community in PayaPeunaga Village, Meureubo Sub District, West Aceh.

The actual multilingual society, deriving from an augmented personal and professional mobility, and from the migratory growing phenomena of the last decades, requires to its citizens a solid linguistic communicative expertise. Plurilingualism has become an unavoidable need, more than an additional skill. Experts in Language Pedagogy from different linguistic backgrounds are called to develop the theoretical principles for an effective multilingual didactics and teachers, from their side, are called to train themselves on these principles and to apply them in the language classroom. An effective multilingual didactics requires high qualitative standards in Language Pedagogy. Being this latter a relatively recent science (Cambiaghi, 2008), and an interdisciplinary one, it has not yet developed a standard shared terminology. This has led to confusion and disagreement among scholars about the meaning to be attributed to meta-didactic terms, and among practioners that have to apply these concepts.This study aims at filling this requirement of terminological clarity and transparency, developing an original multilingual glossary (Italian, French and German) of Language Pedagogy terminology, thus favouring inter-comprehension and interaction among experts through terminological standardization. Terminology is an essential component of each discipline, since it shapes its contents and outilines its evolution. Then an effort has to be done to develop a common metalanguage of Language Pedagogy. Even if it exists some resources, they are generally monolingual and still too related to their cultural area of origins. The glossary described in the present study constitutes a shared digital platform for experts and students, easily accessible and constantly updated. The 130 terms and expressions included at the moment, are alphabetically disposed and provided with translations, definitions, hyperlinks and examples. Lemmas derive from the comparison of three relevant European documents for Language Pedagogy and have been selected only when appearing in at least two out of three of them.

In the past thirty one years, the Music Department of ISI Yogyakarta has contributed to the development of music in Indonesia as the agent of change to build the human resources in the field of Western music. However, there has been no attempt to establish a relationship to the alumni of Music Departmentto provide contributions for the development Music Department of ISI Yogyakarta. Therefore, this research aims to search the Alumni of Music Department of ISI Yogyakarta in the period time of 2002 until 2012 in order to get the profile of the alumni and also to get the feedback on the suitability of the curriculum in Music Department to the needs of the workforce. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive statistical approach. The data collected by simple random sampling with 61 respondents from the alumni of Music Department of ISI Yogyakarta which spread all over Indonesia. The result of this research revealed that the learning process in Music Department of ISI Yogyakarta is able to provide supplies competence to compete in workforce. According to the data most of alumni of Music Department of ISI Yogyakarta are music educators. As a suggestion to meet the work forcerequirement as music educators, there should be additional skill for students (soft skills) such as organizational skills,  leadership, oral communication and the experience in community empowerment.

Background. Reports of retained colorectal foreign bodies (CFBs) are no longer considered uncommon. We present a case where a retained CFB was retrieved using a modified TAMIS technique using standard instruments and trocars.Case Report. A 52-year-old man presented with a CFB. We report our technique of extraction with standard laparoscopic instruments without specialized access platforms.Conclusions. This modified TAMIS technique is well suited for resource poor environments because it requires no specialized equipment, platforms, or additional skill sets compared to conventional laparoscopy.

<p>Teaching English for Young Learners is not as simple as people thought. There are a lot of things to</p><p>consider. One of them is fostering young learners to be multi-literate. It means that they need to master more than one skill in their life. The skills or abilities are listening, speaking, reading, writing, counting, et cetera, with the sources either from hardcopy (books) or softcopy (internet). Therefore, it is needed a medium to help the young learners to achieve multi-literacies, that it is a digital video. This mini-research aimed to use digital video to raise students’ multi-literacies in TEYL, by utilizing descriptive qualitative design. The mini-research was conducted in English course for the age of 9-10 years old. It was done for a month in total of 4 meetings, with duration about 60 minutes. The teacher was successful to use digital video combined with picture series.  The students felt happy and interested, since they firstly watched the digital video “sleeping beauty” before being asked to arrange picture series. The teacher also explored some vocabulary in the video and tried to contrast them with reality in surrounding. The kind of activity helped the young learners to communicate cross culturally.  In  fact,  communicating  cross  culturally  was  also  one  of  additional  skill  that indicated the students as multi-literate people. All in all, based on the findings of interview, the researcher also recommended conducting further research.</p>
