Rational:The viper envenomations are a real public health problem in Morocco more deaths are reported each year. It is a medical-surgical emergency which can be daunting and life-threatening, as well as the patients functional prognosis. Patients and Methods or Material and Methods:We present 24 cases of serious viper envenomation, on a retrospective study extended over a period of 9 years from 2010 to 2019, and through a literature review we clarify the following aspects: epidemiological, pathophysiological, clinical and therapeutic. Inclusion criteria: The presence of traces of hooks with at least one locoregional and / or general sign of envenomation. The actual presence of the snake in question and / or its description by a witness or the victim. Results:This is a retrospective study that interested 12 men and 13 women, mean age 41 years. The bites were due to vipers, the species was known cerastescerastes type in two cases, MacroviperaMauritanica in one case. 13 patients had a consumptive coagulopathy table with two cases of ischemic stroke, one case of hypovolemic shock and 4 cases of hemorrhagic shock, ten patients had compartment syndrome treated by emergency fasciotomy discharge.11 patients received anti venom serum with clinical improvement and reduction of complications. Discussion:The poison of vipers is a chemical proteinaceous with two essential components: the toxins and enzymes. These proteins are responsible for the observed symptoms. The severity of envenomation is related to the plasma concentration of the venom. The definition of early clinical and biological criteria of gravity has envenomation better assess and clarify the therapeutic indications. Processing viper envenomation considerably simplified over the past decade. The medical care is based on a symptomatic therapy component associated with a specific serum therapy. On early treatment with these specific immunoglobulins from the onset of signs of grades II or III envenomation reduces morbidity, sequelae and the total cost of care. Conclusion:Improving the prognosis of envenomation involves information education and good care that can only be achieved through close collaboration between.

This brief closing section of the book explores how three recent examples of coloratura singing by the rising generation of singers reflects the relevance, importance, and power of the melismatic female singer. Rather than serving as a general sign of technical skill, decoration, or word painting, coloratura now also signals particular intensities, emotions, inflections, madness, and even death, depending on the performer and composer involved. And current coloraturas such as Natalie Dessay, Diana Damrau, Lisette Oropesa, Erin Morley, and so many more continue to revivify the power of the singing voice.

AbstractIn this paper, we introduce a new class of hemivariational inequalities, called dynamic boundary hemivariational inequalities, reflecting the fact that the governing operator is also active on the boundary. In our context, it concerns the Laplace operator with Wentzell (dynamic) boundary conditions perturbed by a multivalued nonmonotone operator expressed in terms of Clarke subdifferentials. We show that one can reformulate the problem so that standard techniques can be applied. We use the well-established theory of boundary hemivariational inequalities to prove that under growth and general sign conditions, the dynamic boundary hemivariational inequality admits a weak solution. Moreover, in the situation where the functionals are expressed in terms of locally bounded integrands, a “filling in the gaps” procedure at the discontinuity points is used to characterize the subdifferential on the product space. Finally, we prove that, under a growth condition and eventually smallness conditions, the Faedo–Galerkin approximation sequence converges to a desired solution.

Our firm belief is that the broad notion of the text has mainly come about thanks to semiotics. this crucial move by semiotics resulted, among others, in bringing translation studies closer to semiotics. the implications of general sign studies for translation theory and practice have helped translation studies to move away from the verbocentric dogmatism of the sixties and seventies when only systems ruled by double articulation were acknowledged to have the dignity of language (eco 1976). as Peeter torop (2004: 59) argues, “the text is what we understand in culture, and it is through the text that we understand something of the culture.”

AbstractThe goal of this paper is a reassessment of Peirce’s doctrine of symbol. The paper discusses a common reading of Peirce’s doctrine, according to which all and only symbols are conventional signs. Against this reading, it is argued that neither are all Peircean symbols conventional, nor are all conventional signs Peircean symbols. Rather, a Peircean symbol is a general sign, i. e., a sign that represents a general object.

This article deals with the special development of the company (or rather corporate) law in Ukrainian legal system. The current legislation does not set the concept of corporation. As a result, the consept «corporation» is the center of the scientific discussions. Judicial practice forms different conceptions of the concept «corporation» also. At the same time, the concept «corporation» is the general element of the company law development in the future. The legal concept of the corporate relationships forms one their general sign only. The object of these relationships is the corporate rights. The form of the legal entity predetermines the maintenance of the corporate rights. Thus, the list of subjects is the criterion for the corporate nature of the relationships. The maintenance of the concept «corporation» is different in the world legal systems. Thus, the implementation of this concept into our legal system is the difficult process. Being in past the post social state, Ukraine did not have the company (or corporate) law. The modern Ukrainian legislation has a high level of dynamics. It adapts to the necessities of modern society. All mentioned above circumstances need special criteria. Such criteria should form the maintenance of the concept «corporation». They are the most difficult problem. The main reasons of this situation are: the existence of two codes – Civil Code and Commercial Code; the existence of a lot of special legal acts. As a result, there are a lot of ways for understanding of the concept «corporation» in Ukrainian science: from some forms of the companies to all legal entities. The corporate relationships have got one general sign – the special legal connection between legal entity and it’s membership. Such connection is the nature of the corporation. The scientists formed a lot of signs of the corporation. For example, general social aim, association of persons and capitals, existence of property and non property rights for participants. The most of these signs are in all legal entities. At the same time, mentioned above list includes one special sign — the existence not only non property rights, but property rights too. The participants of the non-entrepreneurial legal entities have not property rights. It is not exists the property connection between the non-entrepreneurial legal entity and participants. What does the nature of the entrepreneurial legal entity? The aim to get the income it is not sufficient sign for entrepreneurial legal entity. According to provisions of the Civil Code, non-entrepreneurial legal entity may also to get income. All legal entities may get some income from activity in modern economic relationships. The nature of the entrepreneurial legal entities — distribution of income between the participants. As a result, participants of such legal entities have got full list of the corporate rights (including property and non-property rights). Thus, the corporate legal nature is the main feature for the entrepreneurial legal entity. Key words: corporation, legal entity, incom, corporate rights, entrepreneurial legal entity.

AbstractEfficient conditions guaranteeing the existence and multiplicity of T-periodic solutions to the second order differential equation {u^{\prime\prime}=h(t)g(u)} are established. Here, {g\colon(A,B)\to(0,+\infty)} is a positive function with two singularities, and {h\in L(\mathbb{R}/T\mathbb{Z})} is a general sign-changing function. The obtained results have a form of relation between multiplicities of zeros of the weight function h and orders of singularities of the nonlinear term. Our results have applications in a physical model, where from the equation {u^{\prime\prime}=\frac{h(t)}{\sin^{2}u}} one can study the existence and multiplicity of periodic motions of a charged particle in an oscillating magnetic field on the sphere. The approach is based on the classical properties of the Leray–Schauder degree.

Many pathology departments are introducing subspecialty sign-out in surgical pathology. In 2014, the University of Vermont Medical Center transitioned from general sign-out to partial subspecialty sign-out to include gastrointestinal and breast/cervix subspecialty benches; other specimens remained on general benches. Our experiences with the transition are described, including attending pathologist, trainee, support staff, and clinician satisfaction. A survey was e-mailed to all University of Vermont Medical Center anatomic pathology attendings, pathology trainees, pathologist assistants and grossing technicians, and clinicians who send surgical pathology specimens, immediately before and 1 year after transitioning to partial subspecialty sign-out. Quality assurance metrics were obtained for the 18 months prior to and following the transition. Gastrointestinal and breast/cervix attendings were more satisfied with partial subspecialty sign-out compared to those on the general benches. Overall, trainees were more satisfied with general sign-out because of the rotation schedule but preferred partial subspecialty sign-out due to improved teaching and more focused learning while on subspecialty benches. Clinicians remained very satisfied with our department and our reports; no differences were observed. Turnaround time was unchanged. After switching to partial subspecialty sign-out, there were significantly fewer discrepancies following multidisciplinary conference review for gastrointestinal and breast/cervix cases but remained the same for general cases. Fewer formal internal consults were performed after transitioning to partial subspecialty sign-out across all areas, but more notable for gastrointestinal and breast/cervix cases. Our data show improved quality assurance metrics and trainee education in a subspecialty sign-out setting compared to general sign-out setting.

Abstract The relation between the “original” text and its “translation” into another language is analyzed in terms of “similarity” and “difference”. What may be understood by “similarity” and “difference” is also explored. With respect to the original, in fact, a translation can be described as the “same/other”. Our theoretical framework is Peirce’s general sign theory with special reference to his renowned triad icon, symbol and index. Translation is also viewed in terms of the relation between representation and figuration, therefore between the direct and the indirect word. Ultimately, the word in translation is likened to the literary word.
